I exactly meant what you said. Varun doesn't do any stupid nautanki (like a few others).
To me, Varun has always maintained a very professional attitude. He means business, which means dance and which is what the purpose of DID is.
There haven't been unnecessary episodes of Varun's family or friends on the show (as has been the case with a few other contestants).
I have always felt that Varun is a strong professional and a strong dancer. He has always been cheerful.
I hope it helps.
On the other hand, I totally discourage inviting a contestants parents on stage and asking them to narrate their sob story. By doing so, the DID team only encourages bias in the voting process.
It was sad to see Varun go.
Hey Mohini, please don't say sorry...I didn't mean to sound very harsh either...I know what way you meant it in...I guess I"m just generally a little upset to see that Varun's personality is being misunderstood by some ppl in this forum...like you said, he had a very PROFESSIONAL attitude and danced his heart out...in EVERY performance...I've rarely seen anyone on the DID stage able to bring forth so much INTENSITY in every act and at the same time do a comedy act like the one with Pradeep so well...he could be a good actor too if he chose to be one.
And even as a personality we got so many glimpses of his...the way he supported Piyali or any person he danced with...you could sense that CAMARADERIE...the genuine bond b/w the TKT contestants...even in the last epi, the way he hugged Pradeep after he got the highest votes...how can such a person ever be called unfriendly? And to think some ppl in here actually HATE him? Wow...sad...very sad.
And YES...he DIDN'T have a sob story...no dramatics, no nautanki to showcase on stage...so it was expected that he would get voted off...anyways, I RESPECT this guy as a performer...and I can't say that for many contestants...He will be missed on this DID stage...hope he scales many new heights beyond this.
