Armaan stared at Riddhima in the mirror and she hazed back at him.

The two hearts which have started beating for each other were meeting after 2 long weeks of separation. Riddhima felt her heart flutter as Armaan's hand rested on her neck and they shared the eye lock.They could not avert their eyes from each other for eight long minutes. Their trance broke when a cool breeze entered the room through window and flew Riddhima's hairs at Armaan's face.Armaan lost himself in her fragrance for a while.Riddhima moved forward a little feeling extremely awkward.Her heart was thudding rapidly against her chest.

AR: Hey! Need any help?

She looked at him and nodded slowly.Armaan flashed his million dollar smile and tied up her necklace without losing control this time. The smell of her hairs was driving him crazy.All he wanted was to turn her around and kiss her like no tomorrow. Riddhima ,on the other hand, felt no less than that. She closed her eyes as Armaan 's fingers came in contact with her skin.She almost forgot to breathe when Armaan bend down to tie the necklace with his teeth to make it more tight. He felt Riddhima gasp and smiled to see the effect on her.

He wished to plant a kiss on her nape but backed off as his brain took over his heart that was creating wild desires inside him.

He whispered slowly in her ears: Done.

Riddhima turned around and looked down. Armaan smirked seeing her rosy pink cheeks.

AR: How are you?

This sentence of Armaan suddenly made Riddhima remember that she was supposed to be angry from him.She opened her mouth to speak but before she could utter a word she was pulled in to a warm hug from Armaan.

AR: I missed you soo much.

He said making tears form in her eyes as she herself missed him terribly.

RI: Me too.

Riddhima shivered as Armaan pulled her closer and planted a kiss in her hairs. She skipped a beat as Armaan started to nuzzle in her hairs making her knees weak. She clutched his shit making him loose all his self-control.He placed another kiss beneath her ear lobe and then kissed on her cheeks.

He would have moved towards her lips but stopped seeing her angelic face.She looked ethereal in the red saree which made her look even more sexy. Her tomato red cheeks made her even more pretty. He wished to take her away and hide from the whole world.He placed a kiss on her forehead and she opened her eyes. She blushed even more as she realize that she wanted to feel his lips upon hers.Armaan had noted her quivering lips and the position they were in ,he knew she was expecting a kiss.He had to gain all his might to stop himself from crushing her soft petals against his.

AR: You are looking beautiful.

RI: Thanks.

Armaan: I'm sorry for being late.

Looking at Riddhima,Armaan knew he was in anger.All of a sudden all the warmth and shyness disappeared from her face.

Infront of him was an angry Riddhima whose eyes grew wife and nose got redder .She looked like a wounded tigress.

RI: You! What the hell do you think of yourself? Mr. Armaan Malik do you have any importance in your life for your family and friends apart from your work?

AR: Riddhima plz listen to me.

RI: Why should I listen to you? Since the day I've come here,you didn't come to see me even once.I understand that you were busy but there is something called mobile.But no Mr. Workaholic does not have time for anyone.I was ready to forgive you even for that but today you just surprised me.I've preparing your favourite dishes all day to give you a surprise and you come late.Do I hold any value in your life Armaan?You said you missed me.I don't think so. If you had missed me, atleast today you would have been on time here. Armaan I just don't want to talk to you.Everyone is waiting downstairs.

She started to walk out of the room but Armaan held her wrist and pulled her back jamming her into his chest.

AR: You can't walk away without hearing my justification.

RI: Is this the way to make someone hear you out?

He left her hand : Alright.I'm leaving your hand but please listen to me for once Riddhima

RI: Fine.

She folded her hands cross her front and stood silently.

Armaan smiled seeing a huffed puffed angry Riddhima.

RI: What is so funny?

AR: Nothing. You just look very cute when you are annoyed.

RI: Is this what you wanted to say?

AR: No.I'm sorry Riddhima.Riddhima you hold a lot of importance in my life.Since the day you have entered my life,I've changed.I've started smiling more often. You have made me look above my work and live a real life.You have teached me how to enjoy the silliest moments of your life.Riddhima you have become very dear to me in a very short span of my life.I really adore our friendship.the reason I could not contact you was that we have been trying to catch Vivek.Three times were almost about to catch him but we lost the trail at the last minute. I'm right now trying out the spy of that gang in our department.Tomorrow we have got an information that Vivek might be present at a particular place.The meeting beauce of which I got late was held in this matter only.I've even a few nights in FBI only beause of your case and a few more.I've been extremely busy these two weeks.Trust me Riddhima.I was dying to meet you or even hear your voice but I just could not find the right time to call you. Never again say that you are nothing to me.You are very close to my heart Riddhima .You have been a great friend and I want to keep our friendship forever.

A tear dropped down Riddhima's eyes.

AR: Hey!! Why are you crying?I'm sorry.I know I hurt you a lot but plz forgive me for being a jerk this time.

RI: If you don't shut up now,I'll never stop crying.I'm so sorry.You have doing so much all the while for me and here I'm blaming you for no fault of yours. I'm a terrible friend.I shouted at you and said so many stupid things.I'm so ashamed of myself Armaan.I'm really sorry.

AR: Riddhima please don't apologize.It was not your fault.Had I been in your place,I would have also felt neglected and hurt.I would have also scolded you the same way. There is absolutely no need to apolozie ok.I want to see my smiling Riddhima whose smile lights up the whole room.

Riddhima smiled and wiped her tears and hugged him once more.

Rohan entered the room and stopped seeing AR hugging each other.

He smiled and said: wow! Armaan You did something which I could never do in my whole life.

Armaan and Riddhima jumped at his voice.They drifted apart and looked at Rohan.

AR: I'm sorry I didn't get you.

RO: You pleased Ridzy so easily.You know when she gets angry from meI have to bring a box of chocolates,ice-creams and teddy bears to bring a smile on her face. I don't get how she has forgiven you so easily.

RI: Rohan Shut up!!

RO: What Ridz?I want to know the magic of Armaan so that next time I don't have to empty my pockets.

Armaan chuckeld seeing Ridz getting worked up again.

AR: Peace guys!! Well Rohan this is between me and my friend.You know no one can resist Armaan Malik's charm.

RI:EEWW Armaan get some new line.That was soo cheesy.

RO: Woah!! Armaan Malik and flirting.This is something new'

RI: Rohan you don't know Armaan.HE never fails to surprise me at times.

AR: Anyways guys can we please go down to have dinner as I'm starving.

RO: Ofcourse Armaan.Ridzy has put a lot of efforts today.She has done all the work alone.You have come quite close to her.I'm glad she found such a great friend in you.

AR: Thanks rohan.You are a lucky man to have her as your life-partner.

RO: I know.I love her like crazy.I wanted to ask that since you are a great friend of Ridz so can we also be friends.

AR: Ofcourse!

They shaked hands and hugged each other while Riddhima remained silent the whole time observing the interaction of you the two. She smiled seeing the two important men of her life getting along so well.

RI: Guys!! Shall I leave the room since your koochikooing session is not getting over.

Both : Shut up Riddhima.

Riddhima giggled and all three went downstairs.

Armaan, Riddhima and Rohan walked downstairs together with smiles on their faces. Others noticed them coming down and Juhi immediately stood up from her seat.

JU: Riddhima beta I was thinking that you would teach Armaan a good lesson but I guess you have forgiven him already.

AR: Mom why are you trying to instigate my friend. You don't know what all I had to do to please her.

Riddhima's jaw dropped down because as far as she remembered she didn't ask Armaan to climb Mount Everest or do something big like that.

RI: Armaan what did I ask you to do haan?

Juhi looked at Riddhima and giggled. All the people sitting over there also smiled watching the cute conversation between AR.

AR: Riddhima you didn't do anything. Everything was done by me only.

RI: Really? May I ask what were you trying to tell Juhi aunty?

AR: I was trying to say nothing.You can ask mom.Mom did I say something against Riddhima?

Juhi was amused to see her brave son acting scared infront of a girl'

JU: Riddhima beta forget Armaan. Look this necklace looks soo pretty on you.

RI: yeah Aunty! Thanks a lot for it. It's just beautiful..

RAHUL: Riddhima beta after wearing it you have enhanced it's beauty'

Riddhima smiled and so did Armaan.

JU: Rahul stop flirting with her'

RA: What?I'm not as old as you are lady.Riddhima tell me don't I look still young?

RI: Ofcourse uncle. You are one of the most handsome men I've ever met.

Riddhima continued along with Rahul enjoying the sweet banter of Juhi and Rahul.

When senior Malik was flirting so graciously with Riddhima how could junior Malik stay behind?

AR: Dad if you remember Riddhima is engaged and her fianc is standing quite close to you. So I think you should try your luck for someone else. Moreover, Riddhima is too young for you. Instead of you I've got the right to take a chance with her.Am I not correct Riddhima?

Armaan smiled sheepishly while Riddhima smacked his arm'

RI: Rohan I told you na that Armaan never fails to surprise me.. Looking at him, can anyone believe that the workaholic Armaan Malik can be soo cheesy at times?

RO: Well Riddhima you never know what goes on inside a man's heart'.

Anjali: Rohan dear.This philosophy is true for any guy other than Armaan. Only god knows the composition of his heart. My devar has got no time for love you see. He has got married to his work ages ago.

AR: Bhabhi it's not true you know'

AN: Really? Should I start looking a prospective girl for you then?

Riddhima's face changed colour as soon as Anjali uttered that sentence. Armaan got bewildered at Anjali's statement and looked at Atul. Atul apologized to Armaan through eyes and Armaan nodded his head in consent realizing that Anjali knew nothing about his love for her sister.

PADMA: Armaan beta I think Anjali is right. You have got well settled in your career. You should start thinking of settling down in your life as well. A partner is quite important you know.

Armaan was quite uncomfortable with the talks going on. He didn't like the discussion of his marriage when he knew that the girl whom he loved belonged to someone else.

Riddhima, on the other hand, felt a bit uneasy. She felt as if her heart was sinking. She was not very happy with the thought of seeing Armaan with someone else.

Shashank noticed Armaan's uneasiness and said : Well we can these discussions later.But I think we should have dinner first because I'm feeling quite hungry.

Armaan sighed as others nodded in agreement.

At the dining table,

Armaan was stealing glances at Riddhima who was standing at the opposite side serving her father. This was the first time that the topic of his marriage was raised up. Riddhima served the elders first and then started serving the youngsters.

ROHAN: Riddhi the food smells sooo good. I'm sure it would be delicious.

RI: Rohan. You always do this. Your praises start even before you actually taste the food.

RO: Riddhi you are a wonderful cook'I can vouch for you that the dinner must be relishing'

RAHUL: Rohan beta you are absolutely correct. Riddhima beta paneer is wonderful.

RI: Thank you uncle.

ANJY: Ridzy Armaan ko serve karo na.After all you have prepared all this for him only na.

Riddhima nodded and went to Armaan.she started putting various dishes in his plate without looking at him. Somehow Armaan's marriage issue build up a certain awkwardness between the two. She didn't look into his eyes and nor did he.after serving the food to everyone, Riddhima took a seat beside Rohan. Armaan's seat was next to her.She noticed Armaan fidgeting with the fork in his plate.

She whispered slowly: Armaan why are you not eating anything?Have I cooked it soo bad that you don't even wish to take a bite?

AR: I'm sorry Riddhima.I was just engrossed with something else.But now my full focus would be on the tempting food prepared for me by my dear friend.

Saying that he started eating and praised her culinary skills a lot.Riddhima beamed with joy as everyone appreciated her cooking skills.Moreover,she was happy that Armaan loved the food. Armaan moved his hand forward to take the jug filled with water and his hands felt something soft instead of the jug's handle.He was looking into his plate when he moved his hand ahead. He looked up and found Riddhima's hand beneath his.Riddhima blinked and looked at Armaan and so did he. And once again Armaan and Riddhima were lost in another world'.

Riddhima and Armaan drowned into the deep green and greyish- blue oceans of each other respectively. Riddhima could not move her eyes away as she felt a strong emotion inside Armaan's orbs. She tried to decipher it. Armaan, on the other hand, tried to understand her feelings for him. She always confused him. The way she behaved with him gave him an intuition that she also loved him. He was trying to find that love in her eyes right now.

While both Armaan and Riddhima were lost in each other's eyes there was one more person on the dining table who was aware of the situation between the duos. Atul who was sitting next to Armaan nudged Armaan's elbows to bring him back from his love land. He knew that his brother loved his sister-in-law. But fact needed to be hidden. The way he was staring at Riddhima and looking deep into her eyes could have made any one understand what he felt about her. So, he thought to interrupt his brother's lovely moment. What surprised him was Riddhima's reaction. She was affected by Armaan in the same way as Armaan was affected by her. He noticed how she tried to find something in Armaan's eyes and how desperate she was to arrive at a conclusion. He has been through this stage of emotion turmoil when he was in love with his wife. So, he knew very well that something was cooking between both of them.

Armaan was not very happy by being disturbed so he looked at Atul irritatingly.

AT: Armaan eat your food quietly. Let me remind you that your lady love's fianc and dad are sitting on the same dining table.

Armaan frowned but nodded and passed a smile at Atul for being so thoughtful. He wondered what would have been Rohan's reaction if he had found him staring at his fianc like that. Riddhima, on the other hand, was surprised to lose herself once again in Armaan's eyes. She just hated it when her body reacted so much to Armaan's presence. She was a bit disturbed hearing Armaan's marriage talks but why did she feel to just stop that moment forever and lose herself into Armaan. Her mind answered that she liked him but this time the answer from her heart startled her.

ROHAN:kya hua?Tum khao na khana aise plate mein bas forks and spoons ke sath kyun khel rahi ho?You have been working so hard since morning.I thought that you must be very hungry by this time.

RI: Rohan I'm eating properly only. I was just thinking about something.

RO:Ah!! It hurts. When your would be husband is sitting here may I know who or what is more important that you were lost soo much..

Riddhima's face turned pale and she looked at Armaan for a second. In that one second Armaan knew that she was thinking about the eye-lock that had engaged them in a few minutes ago.

He could clearly see that she was not very much comfortable with the question that Rohan asked her. So, he decided to help her.

AR:Rohan I guess Riddhima was thinking about the case.Don't worry Riddhima Vivek escaped thrice but I promise this time I won't let him go. I'll trap him in this cat and mouse game very soon.

RI: Armaan I trust you and I know that you are trying your best. I am sure you will find him soon.

She smiled and so did everyone at the dining table.

JU: Riddhima beta don't worry my son is the best, even better than his father. He'll surely fulfill his promise.

She passed a teasing smile to Rahul who just shood his head at his wife's antics.

RA: Riddhima beta you see how much injustice is done to me. No one is there to take my side and my talent is underestimated.

Anjali and Ridz giggled while Rohan ,Atul and Armaan smiled..

ANJY: Dad why do you say like that haan? I'm always on your side.

RA:Oh yes my daughter is always there for me and now my grandson would also be there with me.Juhi we both would make a team against you ,Armaan and Atul.

RI: Uncle I'm also on your side. Aunty Armaan has inherited all the wonderful qualities from uncle only na.

JU: Now that is how doctors talk.Yes my dear your uncle is a great FBI officer but my son is definitely a charmer. Isn't it?

Hearing her question, a blush crept across Ridz's cheeks. The charm of her son has turned her world upside down. She has been feeling things which she never imagined of. She had never lost control over her desires but with Armaan she just wishes to flow with the passion in his eyes.Something was changing. She was changing.

Shashaank and Padma were happy to see the way Rahul called Anjy as his daughter. Shashank felt guilty of punishing his daughter and keeping her away from family since so long.

Rohan saw Shashank engrossed in a deep thought and he could somehow make out what Shashank was feeling right now.

RO: Uncle let bygones be bygones. All's well that ends well. Anjy di is happy and so are you.

Anjali looked at her dad and saw tears in his eyes.

She went near him and hugged him.

AN: I love you dad.Plz don't feel sad.

SH: I'm so sorry bacha. I don't know how I turned so stone hearted. I made you go through so much pain. I'm the one responsible for the pain caused to you,Padma ,Ridhi and ma.I'm really sorry.Atul beta thanks a lot for giving my daughter such a beautiful family.

AT:Dad plz why do you think about the bad times?Now that we are together and everything is fine let's cherish these moments. I have no grudges against you. You did what was right. Every father has a right to choose a groom for his daughter. Infact we are sorry for snatching away this opportunity from you.

SH: I'm glad you did that beta. My daughter could never have a more wonderful person like you in her life. Even I could not have found such a gem like you.

Saying that, Shashank stood up and hugged Atul. Anjy also joined in the hug.

RI: kya papa aapne sabko kitna emotional kar diya. You are the best father in this world. Plz don't cry. I want to see my papa smiling always.

Shashank smiled and so did others and Padma came and hugged Ridz.

PA: My baby..You have gone through so much and I must say you have really been strong.

JU: Yes Padma ji.Riddhima is indeed a brave girl.

Juhi said and caressed Riddhima's hairs.

RI: Mom,Aunty ,Had Armaan not been there with me ,I could have completely shattered. The moment I was caught I felt as if all the happiness of this world has ended for me. But Armaan entered my world like a ray of light and showed me the path of hope. He was my moral support. Whenever I felt lonely, he was there for me. He has been a great friend. He never let me feel that I was living in a house arrest. He has been really kind to me. The way he cared for me is really great and I'm grateful to him for befriending me. He is a wonderful person.

Armaan's heart beamed in pride hearing such nice words from Riddhima's mouth. Rohan smiled and went to Ridz. He squeezed her hand and Ridz looked at him with a smile.

AR: Aunty I've not done anything great. I myself have found a friend who has made me realize that life is not all about achieving the goals but also about living each moment in such a way that the memories could be cherished forever. Riddhima has been really nice to me. She is one of the most beautiful person I have come across in life. Trust me aunty I would not let the accusation remain on Riddhima's name for a long time. Very soon you can take your daughter back home.

Padma smiled and caressed Armaan's head.

PA: May God bless you beta. I wish all your dreams may come true. I know you'll keep your promise.

RO: You are right aunty. Armaan is the best. I know he will bring our Riddhima back to us very soon.

Armaan's smiled faltered after hearing Rohan's words. Riddhima belonged to Rohan and not him. He wondered why he always forgets the bitter truth of his life.

The dinner was over few minutes back and now everyone was sitting in the lounge. Riddhima brought sweet dishes that she had prepared specially for Armaan. First she brought gulab jamun, then kheer and finally gajar ka halwa. Everyone was relishing the wonderful desserts.Armaan asked Riddhima what was the need to prepare so much of dishes?She must have got exhausted.

Her answer amused him: "When I do something for people very close to the heart, I feel so happy that the happiness and excitement overcomes all sorts of tiredness".

AR: Riddhima I have never met such an interesting girl like you,I must say.

ATUL: Armaan actually I don't remember you meeting any girl with interest.

Armaan frowned at Atul's interruption but Riddhima smiled. This was the first time she was hearing something about Armaan from Atul apart from his work.

RI:Jeej what do you mean to say?

AT: Riddhimy workaholic bro didn't have time for girls.All the girls of the college were ready to die for him but he never gave a glance at the poor creatures.

RI:jeej you and his friends should have tried to fix his date with someone na.

AT: Do you think that we had not tried it?Mr. Malik asked questions related to a subject on the first date to irritate the girl and the girl literally ran away after their so called date.

Hearing that Riddhima along with Anjy and others started laughing.

AR: bhai ho gaya aapka?

RO:OMG!! Dude you should not have done that. Poor girl. Don't worry it's nonetheless late now.I'll find a suitable girl for you.Now you don't have to study,so I guess girls can have a little time for you.Isn't it?

AR: Look Rohan

JU: Armaan you shut up.Rohan beta plz do that. My son has become really crazy with all the work around him. A girl may make him learn how to enjoy life. After meeting Riddhima he has started changing. I'm sure a girlfriend would make him even better.

Riddhima's face changed colour as the conversation took a U-turn.She wanted to beat Rohan blue black for thinking to get a gril for Armaan. But what surprised her more was the pang of envy inside her heart. She felt furious by just the thought of a girl besides Armaan. God forbid she wondered what she would do if something like that she happens to see in real. Armaan was making her crazy. This is not right. She is engaged to Rohan. She has no right to think about Armaan.

Armaan looked at Riddhima and saw the various lines of expressions on her face. She looked a bit disturbed. Did that mean that she was getting affected with the talks of a girl in his life? Why did he always feel that she also experienced some strong emotions towards him? The way she would sometimes loose herself into him made him think that she loved him. But did she really?

RA: Acha bhaisahab aaj ki sham yaadgaar rahegi.raat bahut ho chuki hai hamein chalna chahiye

SH: Arey thodi der aur rukiye na

RA: nahin nahin fir kabhi aayenge.aap aayiye kisi din hamre yaha.apni beti ka sasural nahin dekhenge?

PADMA: Bilkul aayenge bhaisahab.ab toh aana jana laga rahega.

JU: Acha bhabhi Namaste.

Armaan and Atul bend down and took the blessings of their elders.Anjy and Ridzy did the same.

Anjy got hundreds of instructions from her mom and sis to take care of herself and baby.

Finally all started moving towards their cars.Armaan went to Ridz and hugged her for a short while whispering goodbye in her ears.

As his car zoomed off, Ridz didn't know why but tears formed in her eyes.In that moment when Armaan hugged her warmly, she felt that Armaan's arms were the place where she rightly belonged. Finally, the realization dawned upon her. Yes, she loved him. She had fallen in love for that stone hearted man. She was hopelessly and irrevocably in love with Officer Armaan Malik. When he went away she felt as if he took a part of her with. She didn't have a right to love him but she did. The series of events which took place this evening finally knocked sense into him. The way she got jealous when Armaan's marriage and girlfriend topics came up made her realize that what she felt for him was much more strong than infatuation and when he was bidding her goodbye his touch made her feel safe and secure. The mere touch of his skin filled her with a sense of fulfillment. A shockwave passed through her body and she knew that she was in love...
