Shahid Kapoor to play the underworld don in 'Once Upon in Mumbai 2'

New Delhi: The back to back success of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai' and 'The Dirty Picture' has made the director Milan Luthria a hot property. The director who started his career with 'Kachche Dhaage' in 1999, is currently shooting for his next film 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2'.

Milan Luthria says his much-anticipated sequel 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2' will not follow any 'gangster movie trend' as in his film the focus will be on flamboyance, drama and music.

"As far as gangster trends are concerned, I think we stand apart as our take on gangsters is very different. It's more of a flamboyance, drama, music and dialogues. So it's a different space and thankfully we are the only ones in that space," Milan said here at an awards function.

Good. I hope he gets too busy with this role to give dates for Vettai remake😆 I seriously don't want to see him taking up Arya's role 😳

the tamil remake starts in april..and this end of the year or early 2013... so i think he will do both 😊 This will film will bring his career back..i'm sure shahid will rock in both films.. cuz he is a brilllant actor...😊

Well you sure seem to think he is a brilliant actor but I think he is very mediocre. And I don't think he fits into the character that Arya played in Vettai. I just don't want to see a favourite film of mine being ruined 😒 Bollywood has a long history of making crappy South Indian remakes But we'll see how things go. Sometimes miracles do happen😆

Ready was a remake of a Telugu movie by the same name but they completely ruined the movie😳 The only reason why it worked was because of Sallu Bhai's box office pull but otherwise if you compare the quality of it to the original one it was CRAP. It is one of the worst hindi movies I have ever seen yet I cannot seem to understand how it became that big of a hit😲 Even Sallu fans admit Ready was a batshit crappy movie😆 And same thing happened with bodyguard. The original was brilliant and its Tamil and Telugu remakes were good too but the hindi version was just so very lame🥱 I think due to the huge cultural differences between the North and South, the story of a remake gets changed completely to the point where it stops making much sense😕 and stops flowing together

if the tamil remake doesnt work for shahid then im sure this one will..if he does it :)...😊

This would be a great film for Shahid Kapoor..hope he does it 😊
