I totally felt that CONNECTION that you were talking about, a sign that these two are bonded by something much bigger than either of them, be it in the most mundane context (a train toilet), or the most holy.

I also loved your analysis of how people see and fall in love with, and want to possess, Aarti's radiance and her goodness, but that nobody seems willing to accept her ugly side. To me this speaks of conditions. Everyone who looks at Aarti's situation puts conditions on their acceptance when the one thing she really needs for her own healing at this point is in fact, unconditional acceptance and eventually love.

With Prashant, it seems he loved her until she actually committed. So he loved her on the condition that he had to keep the chase for her up. Once she was his, he was out of there.

In the first episode with Vimla, there is that implied understanding that Vimla will accept Aarti on the condition that she is a chaste, unmarried girl and she rejects Aarti viciously and feels cheated because Aarti, to her, broke that implied condition.

Then with Raghudayal, we see that he accepts her divorced status, but only on the condition that she will treat this as a favour from him and "repay" him with complete permission to invade her personal space and claim ownership over her body.

Finally, even though Yash's mother is a sight better than all the others, she is also putting a condition on accepting Aarti, that is that she should be a widow and not a divorcee. And now we hear of another condition!

I think all of these instances of conditional acceptance and love that Aarti faces act as a foil to Yash, who has known and still knows unconditional love. For him, even death is not a condition in his relationship with his wife. This trait is what is going to later allow him to give Aarti what she needs most to heal.

Absolutely LOVED this part of your comment, Saman! I have never really thought of this from this angle, but now that you mention it, I can definitely see the build up of their unconditional love and it being the thing that completely heals Aarti. The connection is already there, fate has played it's part to connect them forever, and to see the progression of their relationship from this point to becoming true soul mates will definitely be worth watching :)
