Charu's engagement done. Kula who comes in to see the plates exchanged is disappointed. The others present are happy - opt for toothpaste advertisement. Ila calls everyone to eat. Kula thinks to himself - Thought Karthik would have done something to stop the engagement, never mind - the wedding will not take place. Vatsala paatti singing thangathilE oru kuRai irundhaalum with her collared neck and slinged right hand. Naachch, Ganga, Subbu and Vadivu come to visit her. Ganga wants to know how it happened (action replay ellaam mudiyaadhu - paavam paatti) Paatti was careful but some monkey had thrown the banana peel. She is very happy that all of them have come home. AKA joins in. Naachch tells paatti that their family did not think it to be abasaguNam, instead went along with the engagement. Subbu chayyang chaks in that same irritating mode. Jyothi asks if Kula & Karthik are not interested in this wedding taking place - they did hear so. Subbu, Naachch & Ganga do not know what to answer. Jyothi's mother, father, patti and AKA feels bad about Jyothi saying so. Vadivu thinks to herself, that whatever Ila told about this MKJ (muNdakaNNi Jyothi) is all true - her talk is too much.
Now Vadivu asks her doubt which they too heard. MKJ wears a 50 paise pottu but where is her husband? MKJ's mind voice feels Ila is better. Vadivu gives a bag of fruits to MKJ - prepare juice for paatti. The jingbang takes leave. AKA wants to drop them off. Paatti teases him saying cannot meet Charu , she would have gone to college (AKA has no job??) Ila & Rasamma waiting for Manga under a banyan tree. Rasamma trying to guess the time looking at the sun. Manga walks eating peanuts and singing senthoorappoovE, stops midway seeing Ila & Rasamma.
Manga throws away the peanuts comes to Ila, tells she has arranged for the land that Ila wanted to buy. Competing with Ganga to build a house. All three ready to leave, Rasamma asks if that person's name is not Govinda. Ila remembers the whole parotta shop incident. She chides Rasamma for talking abasaguNams when going for a good job. She also reminds of RV's warning. Manga says the name of this person is Uththaman. Ila is impressed by the name. Do you have the money asks Manga. The same money that Ganga retrieved from the parotta shop owner. The very same money shrieks Rasamma. Again she is chided for her inauspicious talk. Anyways Rasamma wants Ila to think twice before paying the advance. Ila says when thoughts are good the results will be good, just phollow (inglisu eh??) her for now.
A man and his assistant sitting under a board reading Graveyard. The assistant wants to know who is the party willing to buy this graveyard? The man sticks a poster with the name "Samarasa Nagar" on the graveyard board, says the party would be here soon, they can take the money and escape. An auto arrives with the threesome. Ila reads the board and is happy with the name. They bargain about the price - finalise for Rs. One hundred and fifty thousand for an acre of land. Rasamma sniffs. The man tells Ila that if they go for registration it would cost another twenty five thousand. So the man will write a will in her name. Ila goes to pay but Rasamma stops her.
Says this place is stinking. The man says he has an upset stomach. The three scold him . Ila pays and the two men vanish. Ila and company are in their own lala land. They start singing and get the stones for bhoomi poojai. Rasamma asks why no body else is invited for the poojai. They will be informed only after the construction is over. What about Karthik asks Manga. He too would be informed after the construction is begun. Ila asks for the maNNvetti to dig. Manga has forgotten, they spot a man coming with the maNNvetti. They ask him to dig, and the price he would charge. He quotes Rs.10,000. RMI's jaws drop. Ila asks him to leave the place, not to stand on her land. This man finally tells that it is a graveyard. The three are frightened.

The man explaining that people can only come there cannot go back. Because this is a graveyard. The trio gets scared and shriek. Ila says she has the uyil given by Uththaman for an acre of Samarasa Nagar. The vettiyaan saying people do prepare the will before coming here, it can also be called Samarasa Nagar for all are one after they die. He asks them to check the board. They run to see the board "Mayaana Bhoomi" with conch blowing as the BGM. Rasamma says yet again... The three put their sari pallu over their heads. Ila wants to know if they have become 3 idiots yet again. Failure is supposed to be a stepping stone to success but failures have come successfully is Manga' cry. They do an RKO, singing avar avar vaazhkkayil in the sad mode finishing off with aadi adangum vaazhkkaiyada.
AKA's mother asking her husband to include all her relatives in the invitee list for the wedding. Paatti comes in saying to ask about the bride side relatives names to be included. MKJ comes in, to confirm if the bride is Charu. Why this doubt now after the engagement asks AKA's father. Why should we get married into a family where the mama and aNNan are hell bent on stopping the marriage is MKJ's valid question. AKA, paatti and the mother do not like MKJ's pov. The father says for ayya, subbu & naachch's sake itself we can bring Charu as the bride. Ganga the elder sister and her husband are straight forward collectors. Rama the other sister has grown gradually (naanga ellaam porandha udan 6 ft aagittOmaa??) into a mill owner, she has written her IAS as well. This Saaru (that is how he pronounced, edhO juicekku translation maadhiri irundhudhu) wants to become an IPS, he lists. Only problem people are this Kula & Karthik, that is why he is wondering whether to add their name in the invite or not. Paati calls Muthiah (adhaan AKA's dad's name) gives him an idea to visit ayya and ask for his opinion. Muthiah obliges.
Muthiah, Mrs.Muthiah & MKJ arrive at ayya's. Charu who is studying invites them in, asks about their well being. Mrs. Muthiah says AKA is doing fine, has gone out on medicine factory business. Charu goes in to inform ayya. Sara comes out and welcomes them, next come ayya and Naach, Ila joins them. Naachch is about to leave to get something to drink. Muthiah refuses, wants clarification about the invite. Naachch is asked to sit with them. Muthiah shows the written invite, Sara is asked to read it aloud. He begins reading (it looks more like a moi ezhudhina list than an invite to me.. ellaa pEru posting ellaam ezhudhi irukkaangappa - ) Ganga and SK, Rama & JC, RV and Kappu, Rasamma, Sara & Vadivu are the names listed. Ila fumes. How can they miss out her husband, hers and her father's name she begins. Looks like they are out to differentiate between them. Ayya pacifies her, asks Muthiah how come he left Karthik's name out. He is the eldest son, Kula is the BIL and they all know it. Muthiah says because they heard that both of them are not interested in the wedding taking place, they were confused if to add their names or not.
Ila wants to know who told them that her husband and father are not interested in the wedding. MKJ tells Ila certain things cannot be said directly, if they did, then it would result in difference in the family as Ila predicted. Ila pOttu kuduthufies the ration card episode of MKJ, so MKJ is having her revenge is Ila's stance. Mrs. Muthiah tells it openly of how Karthik & Kula have warned them both directly and indirectly not to bring Charu as the bride. Mrs.M asks for Naachch's opinion. Naachch asks them to do as it pleases them. Ayya stops says either you should add all names or just mention relatives & friends. Now add their names too he says to Muthiah. Muthiah accepts. Ila is happy. The M family takes leave. Ila wants chinna naachchiyaa and bracketed IAS against her name on the invite. MKJ makes a dig and leaves.
Ganga, Vadivu & Sara, Rama & JC, MA, Naachch are all sitting and talking. MA asks something about the house construction and Naachch teasing her. Ayya comes and takes his seat. Ganga has come regarding the invitation for Charu's wedding. Ayya asks Vadivu to get a paper and pen. Ganga has her lappy will feed it in direct. MA is surprised that a small dabba can do so much. Rama says everything can be done on it. MA asks if it can capture photos, Vadivu says she can see herself, asks Ganga if she has brought along the CD of photos. avanga peNN aanadhaala pendrive kondu vandhu irukkaanga. She shows MA's photo. MA is thrilled. Rama tells her athai all their photos are in there. Ayya teases MA, want to see your husband's photo, Ganga show her he says. avarOda verachcha mugaththa seeing everyday, when happy why remind of him she asks.
Ayya dictates and Ganga feeds on the laptop. Ayya includes MA & Kula's name too. JC does not want Kula's name on the invite. Rama says it will not look nice if they leave out his name. Kula's name is also there on the bridegroom's invite. Vadivu tells JC thankgod Ila has gone to temple with Subbu & Charu. She mimics Ila and scolds JC for wanting to leave out their father's name. The rest are amazed and have a hearty laugh. Naachch says if Ila was there, only ponytail hold fight (kudumi pidi sandai) Ayya continues to add the bride side relatives and bridegroom relatives too on the reverse side of the invitation.
Ayya wants to know how many invitation are going to be printed. Rama wants the number, they want to print the invitations. Naachch refuses, she had said earlier that she wants to take up all the cost of the wedding. Now MA too jumps in the fray. Sara teases if JC wants to bear the cost because it is the cheapest in a wedding. He recommends that JC take it up to Naachch.

Natchiyar and JC fight over printing Invitations. Sara tells his mom to give it up, so Natchiyar agrees. Ayya telsl JC to print the invitations. Charu is walking and Mr would be Charu finds her and tries to talk to her. He says I want to talk to you, want to understand you very well before wedding. Tell me anything you like and I will try to change accordingly. Charu Mam says no - lets understand each other after getting married otherwise there won't be any surprises. Wait till then. Athu varaikkum unga Charu yengeyum paranthu pogamatta.
He then says lets not talk - but come with me, lets have coffee or an ice cream. Charu says after wedding lets have 10 not just 1 as husband and wife. Mr says you talk nicely.
He says I want to give you a gift. Come with me to a gift shop. To that Charu says the gift I want is not available in the gift shop. I will get it on the wedding day. Loosu payyan asks pavama what gift is that? To taht Smart Ponnu Charu says Mangalyam. She will say she will keep it safe for 100 years.
Loosu Paiyyan is amazed by the intelligence of Loosu ponnu.
He says atleast can I walk with you for a short distance. To that Charu says I want you to walk a long distance with me no short distance and that is possible only after wedding and she goes. Aravind stands there stunned admiring his would be wife.

Ever irritating Rama house Muthu is asking Rama to give the invitations for printing. She says I will do that after Mama comes. She says I have to do Neelam for Kula veshti and have cooking work. Muthu says I will take care of Neelam work and tou do cooking. She gets a bucket of water with Neelam and goes some where. Mr Kula walks there. He sees the paper invitation and Neelam.

MR.Kula looks at the invitation and sees his name as welcoming, he gets mad.Looks at the fan in the room and Sottu Neelam, then he leaves the fan on ful speed, leaves the paper on the table and turns the fan towards the paper. Paperum samatha sonna pecha kettundu sottu neelathukkulla jump pannidarathu. 😊 kula is all smiles.
Rama comes and finds Kula sitting happily and enquires about the well being of him. Muthu comes back as well - Asks Rama to show the written invitation to Kula. JC comes as well and Salichukkararu. Rama scolds her and looks for the invitation. She sees not there and looks for it everywhere. Comedy thedo thedunnu theduranga. Finally she finds it in Sottu Neelam bucket. Fully soaked and torn. They wonder how it happened. JC scolds Kula saying Kula has done. Kula denies and there is Kai kalappu between JC and Kula.
Kula says if I want I will even stop the wedding. and leaves. Rama kirukku cries. They finally decide to go to Ganga house and get a copy.

Jothi Lakshmi comes to Ganga house comes with some one chithappa. She asks Ganga to help him to get some stores in lease. Ask Ganga to cancel public auction and write all the leasein his name. All this is watched by SK from Upparigai, kar from the corner of the room and Rasamma.
Ganga denies saying she can't do that. Jothi sends the guy out and telsl Ganga she has 3 laksh and let them share half half so give the stores. Ganga clearly says no. Rasamma says don't say no to money. But ganga FIL scolds her. All scold Jothi. Jothi gets madly shocked.

Ganga telling Jothi that Jothi can be sent to abacus school for trying to bribe. Rasamma comes running to Ganga wanting her to take the money. Rasamma gets a good whack on her back from RV. VandhavaLukku aRivu illai, veetula irukkira unakkumaa he asks Rasamma (ennaikku Rasamma had brains??)Rasamma says even her husband has never hit her, only if he was there is RV's reply. He ran away the day he married Rasamma. She bumps on to Kappu on the way, who asks her to go inside. Rasamma leaves crying. Kappu comes to Jothi and asks her how dare she come home to try and bribe Ganga. (appO officela try paNlaamO) Just because Jothi happens to be the in-laws of their in-laws she escaped, otherwise she would have got the same poojai that her sister Rasamma got. SK comes downstairs, tells his mother to leave it . Calls for the periyavar, asks him to take his basket, tells never to believe anyone who says that they are the relatives of SK & Ganga, and most important never give money. He asks the elderly man to take his money from Jothi and leave. Jothi is all angry. Ganga says she will rest the matter, warns Jothi not to behave like this ever. (indhammathaan ellaathulEyum villi - idhu engittu thirundhum!!) Ganga also gives her a warning never to mix relationship and her job, never to recommend such matters. Jothi in a huff goes with her chithappa. (How did ayya vouch this family to be good??)
Ayya's house. AKA's parents and Jothi come. They have printed the wedding invitations, have come to give the first invite to sambandhis. Ila is asked to get the thaamboola thattu by Naachch. When Mrs & Mr Muthiah get up to give the thaambola thattu the invitations fall. They all say it is laabam (printing pressukkuthaanE??) The invitation with the thattu is given to ayya & Naachch. Naachch is very excited looking at the invitation, she hugs & kisses Charu. Ila takes the invitation from Naachch to see if she too is getting excited. Finds all their names but feels there is something missing in the invitation. Naachch is grinding her teeth. Ila wants Naachiyaa IAS to be added to her name. Ila is shut by Naachch. Ayya asks them to have something to eat. They want to leave. Ila says she has cooked. Jothi wants to leave just because of that reason. Ila claims her hands are clean unlike theirs darkened by bribes. Ayya asks Ila what rubbish is she talking. Jothi feels Ila might let out her trying to bribe Ganga, says they just do that Ila and she would keep talking like this for fun. Ila refutes.
Ila starts telling the story of Jothilakshmi going to Ganga's house with an envelope. Jothi says it was the wedding invitation. Muthiah intervenes to say the invitations came only today and they have come to give the first invite to ayya, how could have Jothi gone to Ganga's house. Jothi's turn to grind her teeth - mind scolding her brother - gnyathukku porandhavan, eduththu kudukkiraan. Ila continues her pOttu kuduththing. Ayya asks if Jothi did do that. Jothi thought since they are relatives Ganga might help instead she spoke so ill and dumped her out. Ayya says just because it was Ganga she dumped her, if it was ayya he would have whacked her. Mrs.Muthiah scolds Jothi for making them hang their heads in shame. Naachch says never mind sambandhiyamma, this happened without your knowledge. Let bygones be bygones. Muthiah family takes leave.
Rama and JC arrive with the invitations for Charu's wedding. Ayya and Naachch welcome them. Charu is called for, Vadivu & Sara come too. Charu is given the invitation to see. She looks at it , gives a shy, happy smile. All assembled look at her. Rama says Charu has got the "wedding branch". Rama further says that Charu has put on weight having food cooked by periamma. Ayya joins in saying he never noticed it. Charu says if he too is joining them in teasing her, she would go back to Ayakudi. Now again all of them tease saying Charu is getting angry. Vadivu says that only if she is at Ayakudi she can talk to AKA without anyone noticing. Vadivu says Sara bought Charu a mobile phone so that she can talk to AKA.
Karthik & Ila watch from their room. Ila comes out asking karuvappaiyaa for the 3 G phone she had requested long time ago. (2G padrapaadE sirippaa sirikkudhu - 3G vErayaa) Asks Rama if they have got the invitations printed. Actually Ila & Karthi wanted to do it. Naachch says never mind, now get a chain, ring, bracelet and watch all in gold for the maappu. Karthik scolds Ila for vaai vitting. Ayya puts a coma to the fight - continue later he says. Now what next he asks Naachch. First keep the invitations in the pooja room, next the first invitation should be to their kula deivam Ganga devi, pongal padaichching then distribution of invitations. Ayya feels it is correct. Karthik begins - how can our kula deivam be theirs, don't know their kulam, gothram, samoogam. All that is the same as yours shouts back Naachch. Whatever is the husband's kulam gothram is the same for wife and children. Karthik wants to know what would they answer maama. What will Kula do asks Ayya, wants Sara to sharpen the Tirupaachchi aRuvaaL and keep it in the car the next day. Karthik gets scared. Says he has to go to Madurai to buy maNNkudhirai (aathula vidavaa??) While going in he knocks his head on the door. Ila runs to help him. Saravanan is asked to get all the things ready for the trip to kula deivam temple.
Karthik runs to Kula - shouts that both side invitations are ready. But Kula is sitting unworried. Kula is waiting for a proper time. Before Charu gets on to the altar he will get it. This time he is not going to tell Karthik of his plans. Karthik is very eager to know the plans. He says that Subbu and family are going to their kula deivam to keep the invitations and pray. (how can ayya's kula deivam be Kula's?) Kula feels they have got a very good trump card. Kula wants Karthik to create problem at the pongal padaichchings. Subbu will cry and tell her parentage etc etc...

Ayya family go to their kulatheivam gangga dewi temple to do archanai for charu wedding card. There they meet another couple doing pooja at the temple. Ayya asks them whether they are outsider coz only Ayya family and samugham will do prayers at this temple. The couple said that they are outsider, they came to thanks gangga dewi for helping them the day before when their car was broke down and their daughter was in emergency for delivery. Ayya family is happy that their kulla dewi has helped them. Illa sadly saying that Gangga dewi helps outsider but never give darisanam to her as her own people. Vadivu says God will only help good people not people with crooked mind...
Later, ayya ask Subhu to prepare for Charu wedding card prayers but Kartik stops her saying that Subhu and his family cannot do any prayer at his kulla dewi temple. He wants to know what is Subhu previous kulla thevam. Nachiar asks whether he wants to dig Subhu history and Kula ask him to do it so. Nachiar says that the moment Subhu married to Ayya, gangga dewi becomes her kula thevam as well. Gangga also said that since Subhu children are from Ayya blood, gangga dewi is their kula theivam. If Kartik refuse to accept that, then Kartik also cannot pray to gangga dewi. Subhu scolds Gangga, not to talk rudely to her annan kartik..Ayya gets angry and says that Kartik as elder need to do the poojai and get the mudhal mariyathai but if he refuse and creates problem then, he calls Sara and ask to take over Kartik role. Illa shocks and scold Sara for replacing his brother. Illa persuades Kartik to do the pooja as she doesnt want to loose the mudhal mariyadhai title. Kartik relunctly do the pooja and pray to Gangga dewi to stop Charu wedding at any cost. He pray that he will light up any lamps including street lamp if Charu wedding is stopped... 🤢(aiyoh kadavule)
At Nachiar house, ayya and Sara preparing list for wedding card delivery. Subhu calls Nachiar and asks her to company her to Vaithesvara temple as she has pray for Charu wedding. Nachiar refuses to tag along as she is very busy with Charu wedding preparing and need to go with ayya to deliver wedding card. She ask Subhu to bring Illa and Subhu ok with it. At first lla refuses to go with Subhu, scares that her father wont be happy, but after Nachiar said that all her venduthal will happen if she prays at Vaithesvara temple, she happily agrees to company Subhu to temple. Ayya gave money to Illa and ask her to go straight away...
Meanwile at Subhu house , Kula comes there and threathen her to reveal the thruth about herself. He accuses her for using Nachiar to get all her daughters marry and leave happily in Gangga new house. He shouts at her to accept that she is the Kula's father second wife daugther. Subhu shocked and thiru thiru mulika... Kula demand her to tell the thruth otherwise he will not spare and kill her... Subhu unable to take Kula hyper shouting and presurre faints and falls down and hurt her head on the table. Kula gets scare and cheking her breathing and FREEZE with Kula shock face...
