Show Analysis- What All Went Wrong/Right??

Hi All

Opening this thread to start a discussion as what all went right and what all went wrong in the show. We started at TRP of 1.1, then we continuously increased till 2.4... And then we fluctuated and dropped that tho sweet we are at 1.5... But still the show is being talked about, so there has to be lot of things that has been played well in the show.

Lets discuss what all went right and what all possibly went wrong with show, that could have been reason for the drop...

My points are

WHAT WENT WRONG WITH THE SHOW

1) Jhanvi's character is not developing only, she is still the same as she was 40 episodes back... She was not strong but a thinking character. The character which was introduced as the one who is trying to escape from Viraj, even though she was scared, that character has now taken a back seat. She has only been reacting and taking tortures of Viraj, still repeating that he loves me... She is not doing anything much on the show...

2) Storyline is getting dragged... Their plots are interesting, but everything is being overplayed. First was Dadi's detectivegiri, that sidelined Jhanvi-Viraj story. Her detetctivegiri and the mystery of closed door was played on an on, something which we have see years back on TV... Then I hoped that after Dadi fell, that drama will take a good turn. But then they played Viraj doubting Jhanvi if she saw him or not... Though it was good, but that also stretched, his self torture, keeping Jhanvi silent for long. So the pace is being compromised...

3) Story direction is also not clear, as where is it going. Though we all know by now that she will run away and meet the saviour... But the direction is still missing... Even today we are watching the episodes as what new torture will Viraj do on Jhanvi, or will he torture her or not...

WHAT WENT RIGHT WITH THE SHOW

1) Fantastic performances by KB and Sriti

2) Very good direction.

3) Scenes are very interesting and innovative (but its lack of story progression that is making them fizzle out).. Each scene carry an unpredictability...

4) The show is very good with Mystery and Suspense... Even though we know its gonna be torture by Viraj, but we come back to watch it... Mystery around Viraj is still maintained whether he actually hurt his family or not (that whether he is just OCPD, or has criminal actions in his past)... Mystery around Geeta is maintained... Mystery if Viraj is in love or just obsessive...

As I remember more points, will keep posting... And guys keep posting RIGHTS and WRONGS, according to you... I think this should be an interesting discussion...

Agreed on the part that story have not moved much in past TWO days.

Agreed on Jhanvi's character. It's somehow i feel that she is not herself anymore. She is not even scared anymore...as if there is a predictability in her behavior..she knows that if i do this, Viraj will do that..u see my point?

What I want to see in Jhan's char: I want to see her back old college days, so that i can know how she was before she met Viraj and got married. What about her singing talent..I want to see her friends. I want to see her laughing...singing..just like any other girl of her age.. i want to see flying bird in open sky..so that i can compare her with the Jhanvi in the RajVi palace...i want to see her ambitions...her dreams...so that i can learn how all that slowly decayed in the marriage. Was she feary by nature??? or was Viraj's cruel acts made her feary??? I want to read her heart..so that i can see the difference.

What I want to see in Viraj's character: i can see his state of mind, but i fail or get confused at his tortures. I want to learn more about the core of the problem. What caused all that in him? was it genetical? was his dad ever spend time with him? or was he just faking that he never saw his biological father. Where is his real mom? Is she alive? why did she left him? Why does he thinks that only TORTURE physical and psychological ways are the way to keep person under control? is he Evil or is he Victim of circumstances? I want him to realise (be it hook or crook) his deeds and rectify it somehow. I know the scars that he left on Jhanvi's heart is not fixable. but I also blv that woman is like SEA of emotions. She can forgive the biggest mistake if one is ready to accept and rectify the deeds. I want him to somehow go back in time and see if something went wrong with him is it logical to do the same with Jhanvi??

"Agar discipline na ho to rishte bikhar jate hai...rishto ko bikhrte hue dekha hai mene😭" tell me more about it.. Open up with Jhanvi..but first TRUST her...

now with the trust issue, she hid the truth of Sanjay...how can u trust her??? He has his own reasoning..but i want him to live in PRESENT and Forget the PAST he had...want to see him healed, become a better man...for her and for his child.

Also agreed on Dadi's story: There was a stretch but there were KEY facts conveyed through that. Necessity or not...i dun know..but it was required as far as i understand it.

Just a slight comment on ur WRONG part: about the direction, i Strongly agree that there is that "BLAST UR PAST" didn't click many ppl. common audience failed to understand it, including me in the first beginning i had to ask some ppl to understand it. But other than that i don't feel any lack in direction. As far as Savior is concern m sure it lays somewhere in the Mystry plot. It already begun as far as i can see, as one of the forum member told me that she saw "HC" in one of the college pictures that Viraj showed to Jhanvi, so it's coming..will have to keep faith.😳

One correction... I had put 'Direction' in RIGHTS... In WRONGS was "Story direction", as at times we don't know where the story is heading to... Or is it heading to anywhere... I Feel lost like Jhanvi at times...

Also I feel that, 'blast your past' was not a direction problem, but writing problem... As the dialouges confused me, as why Viraj did that fire act... It was to scare her, that I understood.. But the reasoning that was given in dialogues made it too complex and confusing for me...

EDIT: but i do agree that they are keeping everything secret!! (lol now that is my fav. word) to the audience so that we have fresh things to see every episode and that is why UI.

very good post...

i agree with u...jhanvi's character is very weak...when viraj tortures her she does nothing even in today's epi she said she should be keep quiet cz if she says anything viraj takes it wrong...from first epi till now jhanvi's reaction is same..no changing..in every epi i wait might be jhanvi would standup against viraj but all hopes were dashed to ground...

bcz of unique story line i started to watch but there is nothing new in this...dun put old things which we have seen in past...cv's should put new things...

..when viraj tortures her she comes in fear & then faint & wake up asall normal..many times we have seen..

yeah karanveer & sriti's acting are superb...viraj is unpredictable person there is butterflly in every viewers stomach what next step he would take...how he stoops low with jhanvi...his obession & love & all mystry it compells me to watch the show...

the cv's should focus on madhuri's message...plz rumunite on what we(viewers)want to see...whats r the flaws so u can overcome on this...if u neglect so u r seeing trp is getting down..we want this show on top of d list...

And I agree storyline being dragged to a greater limit now

everytime you tune in you see that the story has not moved even a inch and frankly I am bored with this day surprises thing as well

Just as everyone said, Jhanvi's character is just the same. She is not showing any improvement.. I mean.. I want to see her protest..
KarTi's performance is superb. Love both of them.
Guess we'll have to wait for sum more epis for a new twist as Viraj's Valentine's Day surprises are not over.

@topicmaker-you are absolutely right! Also,since they are planning to introduce a male parallel,who I assume is going to do all the work..and since that very news,Jhanvi changed...she will always be shown as a helpless woman,if Dadi being less educated than Jhanvi can understand that there's something wrong with Viraj,why can't Jhanvi?? She lives in today's world,is well educated..then why can't she understand this? More importantly,why do we need a male parallel to support her? why can't a woman fight for herself?I think this very thought..and concept is cliche'd...and a serial cant solely survive on the popularity of the actor as cvs are thinking,they had a great storyline if they had made Jhanvi strong and an inspiration to women who are suffering from domestic violence,the show could have done so much..they could have made woman aware of their rights,thrown light on psychiatric issues and how they can be cured...if you notice,the show lost trps in the last two weeks and the story hasn't moved since then...
