A wrong time slot for a TV show can do great harm to the series. It is very important to air the program at the right time when the target audiences have the remote control in hand. And probably that is why Colors' Na Aana Iss Des Laado, which was shifted to an afternoon slot, is also aired in the late night slot. While the fresh content is still aired on 1pm, the late night are repeat telecasts of the same.

The daily was previously aired at 10.30 pm, but was shifted to 1 pm in order to accommodate the hit reality show, Bigg Boss 5 that saw Bollywood stars Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan as anchors. "Laado was shifted when its TRP was 2.9," says producer Neelima Bajpai of Shakuntalam Telefilms.

While TC is sure certain section of the audiences are happy to be able to view this thought provoking show late night, Neelima still seems to be upset. She is of the opinion that the show primarily targets the male audiences. And though she does tell us that she didn't have to make any changes in the storyline for the new audiences (afternoon slot), she thinks that the night slot is the best for this series: "We had conveyed this to the channel (Colors); however, the final call is theirs."

TC hopes that Shakuntalam Telefilms' next venture, Mi Aaji Aur Saheb that is scheduled to air on Imagine from 6 February 2012 gives Neelima a reason to smile.

Their TRP is really low, below 1. Channel cannot take a risk by putting them in the prime slot. I am sure Neelima Bajpai understands it. As I mentioned in another post, their storyline is good, but full of discontinuities. They need to close the loops about Jeeto's death, the naukrani who was trapped by Param, the Rana's truth about conspiring with Param to harass Jhanvi in the empty house, and how he planted the Baba, the disappearance of the Police Inspector, Jhanvi and Surya's land deal that they signed in Delhi, etc.

They have introduced the Santosh track to improve TRPs I think, but if a story has so many loopholes, people lose interest in watching.

I think the story is just jumping from here to there...without any real intention or planning actually...for example why suddenly Ammaji is so hell bent on Santosh-Chatala marriage...couldnt enough time be given so Karan could slowly form a real bond with Chautala and then perhap the issue o Santosh's marraige could come up

one more thing, is Santosh divorced or still married with Jogi? If so, how can she get married again?

all other relations are also being senseless...Jaya relation has absolutely no meaning, it fluctuates with blood pressure...Rana household is getting comical every day...and yes no sgn of Vikki, no justification of Karan and Surya not hating each other...its purely bizarre...

I agree with you completely...recently the flow of the show has been really difficult to understand...Things are either happening too fast and have no justification also...Jaya went from hate to love soo quickly and that too they both are aware that they love each other..but, no one seems to tell each other...n they fluctuate between love and anger soo easily...I understand that anger is a form of love...but really...shouldn't they communicate...Jhanvi's entire family has forgiven Surya for everything that he did...completely understandable...but he should hav atleast asked for forgiveness...Surya's idea of right and wrong also fluctuate soo much...and he has completely forgotten that he was Bramachari...he used to HATE women and now he is in love ...but Y? What did Jhanvi do to make him fall in love...Apart from being truthful about Param thing she didn't do anything as such...So, Surya loves Jhanvi because Param wanted her and she didn't give in??? There could have been soo much more...

I have no prob with Ammaji wanting Santosh to get remarried, but law has some standing right...how can they forget that she is already married...The issue is not if society accepts late remarriage, but its more if its even legal...It would have made more sense to me if Veerpur came to know about Santosh's past and they start making life hell for her and to solve this ammaji files for divorce and then they think of marriage...but nothing happened...and this wedding is bringing that truth out in front of everyone...If they are going to use this to bring Jogi to Veerpur..then it is rather lame...

I am not able to connect to this show on any level recently...the love between Jaya seems to have already blossomed 😲 and I didn't even realize it...lol...Dunno what is going to happen...But I hope they turn it arnd soon...its getting difficult to watch...(actually have stopped watch ..i am just reading WU)

Also...so many characters are missing

Thanks Usma and expectappu from what you have mentioned in your comments I am now getting what is happening on this show bec I had missed out of all the back story.

I did not know that Santosh's husband is still alive - I just assumed that he had died and so Ammaji is all for her remarriage but under the current scenario I am now with Surya that this is not right.

Santosh has every right to get happiness where she finds it but first the legality of it all should be resolved before she can get any real happiness. I dont understand how Ammaji is being so irrational abt this fact.

Actually I feel that the CVs have also forgotten abt the legal issues or are they using this to bring the next twist or like one of you said to bring back Santosh's husband in the picture...

Also I agree with both of you that JaYa love story is not just too rushed but there is absolutely no intimacy or any sort of past which is the basis of their being in love. I agree with both the abv comments on JaYa love issue.

Surya's character is also so confused and it is totally understandable bec he is torn between his loyalty and love for his father and doing the right thing. So until and unless there is some drastic thing happening that pushes him to stand for the right thing he will be passive abt it.

I have realised one thing that we should not try to find any logic or reasoning in the serials and they all go thru peak and low times in the show. But when there is a love story involved the creatives must take special care to make the audience really appreciate and cherish that love. We the viewers feel what the characters in love should be feeling and if that feeling of intimacy is lacking there is no fun in watching as well.

Agree with all of you.

Story makes no sense at all. What was the point of starting this Santosh wedding story before fixing Rana and his household? Surya's behavior is totally random. He is talking of marriage as a noble relationship? Too bizarre!

I have a feeling, they are going to end the serial soon. Hence they are rushing and jumping from one story to another. Next week may be Diya Shaurya reunion, followed by JaYa lives happily ever after and story ends.

chalo, at least some one from the PH is sad about the timeslot.. mujhe to laga tha ki sirf main hi dukhi hu iss baat ko lekar !!

coming to the points that others have raised, i agree with you. because i have watched this show since 2009, this was a show with an extremely bold story content..so it's all the more painful to see the storyline going haywires. & regarding the precap, i dont think it's santosh's husband, it's some one else.

wow...i didn't know that Laado's TRPs were 2.9 when it got shifted! that is actually quite amazing. the truth is that the show being shifted was the reason i had to start watching the epi online. the problem is that they dont count the repeats in the TRPs. Even though Laado's repeat is in the evening and numerous people watch it, this doesn't go towards the TRPs. May be they should move it back seeing the numerous people who watched it on TV before it got shifted...I donno...just my opinion...2.9 is quite a good TRP to reach and especially after the time leap without RaSia. I am actually quite proud. ;-)
