Thanks for writing this dude ❤️ someone understands Manyata...I know she is crass and wild and Jhalli altogether...but I love her character...her biggest beauty is that she is flawed. She is stubborn as hell and how can she accept UV and her family, when all of the residents of the Rajmahal only show her polite tolerance at best...and at worst they keep imposing their own will on her...the only person who geniunely loves her is her mother...and in his Twisted way UV.
Even DS's love is not blatant...her love is ver reserved and poised...even though Brijraj is trying, I feel that he is doing it for Controlling M rather then out of any real true love.
And M clinging to her Akash fantasy...thats all about not loosing herself...Akash is the only relationship that defines Moniya...everything else has been taken away from her...her chawl, her friends her baba...she is suffering from Identity crisis here...how can she start showing common sense when everything around her is spinning wildly out of control...she is just trying to survive as best as she could...so what if she is being selfish and rude and self centered...it is Human nature after all to become shortsighted when one is going through this much trauma.
About her only singing the tunes of Akash and not seeing UV...Akash represents Moniya the way she knows herself...he is a symbol of the Identity she knows and familiar with...with him there are no unknowns...she knows how to live Moniyas chawl life...But UV he represents being Manyata the princess who is going to be the queen...he represents the change, and the vast unknown which she has no idea about...naturally she will cling to a familiar piece of herself rather then jumping into the unknown.
All she needs is a little push and little subtlity, which DS is showing to her and then Moniya will gain confidence and acceptance to embracing Manyata within.

Manyata and Uday's actions are just in their own way.. but they still need LOTS of growing up to do, they need to understand each other and try to see things from each other's perspective. Only then they have a chance together!!

Hopefully Manyata will not have her guard up against him from now on as she seems to have believed his apology!

Nice post and i respect your opinion but would have to disagree with you because my dislike towards the character is not because of her relationship with Uday- her actions towards him are very much justifiable and the fact that she is in love with Akash makes those actions even stronger but what I don't understand and find it simply annoying is her behavior with her family. At the begining of the show her character is portrayed as a free spirited, loving, respectful, helpful, mature and all of those qualities that a heroin possess but then all of that just went out the window when she came to the palace or I should probably say all of those qualities magically disappear when she interacts with her family members. I understand she has been gone for the past 16 years and doesn't know them, doesn't like all the rules and regulations, has had a certain opinion about rich people all her life but at the end of the day none of this is her family's fault. They never gave up on her, celebrated her birthday every years, never stopped searching for her, always kept her memories with them, and never let anyone take her spot even if it was her younger sister. While "Monya" has a right to be mad at the world and how things have turned out she is taking her anger out at the wrong person. If she wants to be mad at anyone she should be mad at her Baba who took her away and kept her hidden all this time or she could be mad at Brijraj because at the end of the day he started the chain or reaction in this whole fiasco when he accidentally killed Murari's wife and daughter. So her being disrespectful, immature, childish, and manipulative towards her family-especially her mom and grandmother is what irritates me the most not the way she treats Uday because anyone who is in "love" and are all of sudden told their marriage has been fixed with someone else- would have a pretty bad reaction but that's another debate all together.

The part in bold: 'if she wants to be mad at anyone, she should be mad at her baba"...well if you have loved someone who you believed to be your father, who take care of you for so many years, who wiped away your tears, who despite a nomadic lifestyle gave in your every whim, who comforted you when you were sad, then HOW can you just turn around and be mad at them suddenly and start to hate them? So she took her anger out on her real family since she couldn't vent on Murali. We all forgive those we love, eventually. I hope you get what I'm saying. It is taking time for her to adjust, and she is adjusting. She apologised to DS yesterday too. She is also shown now to be very innocent, she doesn't doubt DS's ulterior motive at all, she is so full of her happiness. Even Akash noticed it and told her today about never losing her innocence...
The scene with Uday and the gulab jamuns...the way she said the MERA sarehua papite line was actually with AFFECTION not malice, for Uday...and Akash noticed it too...
She has a very short fuse, which even she admits all the time, that it always gets her in trouble and I am sure that she will learn to control that in the next three months..I am sure she will also talk less.
I agree that some scenes with Manyeta like the one where she goes back to the mall and the manager falling all over her, etc or the gardening scene could have been better written, and maybe the loud and brash behaviour may have suited another actress better than Priyal (who has I think learned to now moderate the amount of shouting she does!!) But we can't have everything, right?
PS Nightstarr I am enjoying this discussion too 😊

I think DS does love her but you are right, she is very reserved about it...

even though Brijraj is trying, I feel that he is doing it for Controlling M rather then out of any real true love.

Yeah, but I think Brijraj is more about being snobby and keeping up appearances. He doesn't want to be ashamed of Manyeta in public...he just wants her to behave like a princess so he doesn't feel embarrassed with his friends...and peers.
Yes, yes and yes! It is human nature!

Hey first of all sorry it took me a while to get back on this discussion as I have been busy studying 😭 But anyways back to Manyata. I agree with you 110% on why shouldn't be angry with Murari and how it makes perfect sense that should wouldn't just turn around on someone she has loved and been with all her life but what doesn't make sense to me is that for this to be true she would at least remember him once in a while? The only time I can recall that she remembered Murari was in the begining when she came to palace and Rajmata gave her those birthday gifts. Other than that incident she has not mentioned him even once or has been shown to miss him. But I definitely agree with you that in the real world and real situations one wouldn't just take their anger on someone they care deeply for but rather try to take out on others.

As for the DS comment- I personally think Manyata is still shown naive and innocent and doesn't realize all the games and politics because while she realizes some games and tries not to trust others easily because of past experience (being kidnapped and brought up by the kidnapper as her father) but I do think she still is too innocent to realize the political games that DS and Uday are capable of.

I think what bothered me the most were the inconsistencies with the character that she would show certain characteristics with one person but do a totally 180 with someone else. Personally I came to the conclusion that while it would make sense for her to be unpolished and a little obnoxious at first before she became a princess but I think CV pushed that a little too much for the sake of comedy as well to make a dramatic effect when she DOES become a proper princess because that would be going from on extreme to the other.

PS. I love a healthy discussion because it makes you think about the reasoning behind one's opinion and can't stand when people are just defense about certain characters but no points to back it up. So this is bery bery nice for a change 😊⭐️
