Honestly moniya is really annoying right now - there is a difference in being difficult and annoying. Her attitude right now is of a spoilt teenager and she is not acting a teenager role in the show.

And she is not that thick - i believe it is the outfit that they have her wearing everyday.
Take for instance offscreen - when she has on her short pants and tops she is looking very sexy and not chubby.
I cannot wait 3 mths for her to change - i am sorry dadisa -that is too long for me.

Nice post and i respect your opinion but would have to disagree with you because my dislike towards the character is not because of her relationship with Uday- her actions towards him are very much justifiable and the fact that she is in love with Akash makes those actions even stronger but what I don't understand and find it simply annoying is her behavior with her family. At the begining of the show her character is portrayed as a free spirited, loving, respectful, helpful, mature and all of those qualities that a heroin possess but then all of that just went out the window when she came to the palace or I should probably say all of those qualities magically disappear when she interacts with her family members. I understand she has been gone for the past 16 years and doesn't know them, doesn't like all the rules and regulations, has had a certain opinion about rich people all her life but at the end of the day none of this is her family's fault. They never gave up on her, celebrated her birthday every years, never stopped searching for her, always kept her memories with them, and never let anyone take her spot even if it was her younger sister. While "Monya" has a right to be mad at the world and how things have turned out she is taking her anger out at the wrong person. If she wants to be mad at anyone she should be mad at her Baba who took her away and kept her hidden all this time or she could be mad at Brijraj because at the end of the day he started the chain or reaction in this whole fiasco when he accidentally killed Murari's wife and daughter. So her being disrespectful, immature, childish, and manipulative towards her family-especially her mom and grandmother is what irritates me the most not the way she treats Uday because anyone who is in "love" and are all of sudden told their marriage has been fixed with someone else- would have a pretty bad reaction but that's another debate all together.

You are right about her attitude towards her family and elders but GET this...HER FAMILY HAS KNOWN ABOUT HER FOR NINETEEN YEARS - too bad that she was absent for the last sixteen years, but they probably idealised her image. And it's NOT MANYETA's FAULT that she can't remember her real family. SO again, just imagine being in her situation and in one minute the WHOLE ENVIRONMENT AROUND YOU HAS CHANGED. How would you expect her to react? She lost the man she thought was her father, her WHOLE WAY OF LIFE and you just expect her to throw that all away in a month? It took her sixteen years to accumulate those memories. She has so much anger towards her situation BUT She IS making an effort to adjust- Komal is the only one she has truly accepted for now.
Brijraj is being GROSSLY unfair, I think with his attitude towards her from the very beginning. And even her aunt, is always so derogatory towards her that if I was in Manyeta's position even I would rebel.
I like Komal the best with Manyata and she also relates best to her mother...she has started calling her Mother and she respects her totally.
You are totally free to disagree with this though, Nightstarr 😊

Hi OmaRamdass,
Actually someone else in the forum mentioned she looked like she needed to go to the gym...that's why I added the comment! They do say that onscreen you look ten pounds over your actual weight.

And about three months, well atleast, from the new promo, it will hopefully mean that we don't have to see AKASH for three months either... (seriously, that does sound too good to be true, though!)

She opened up with chowl people and even Unnati, coz they accepted Monya as Monya!!!had not characters like headphones and her cohort, granny of chowl and Unnati accepted Monya as Monya, she would have never been respectful and cosy to them!!! Since I have to watch Monya everyday, I can't take any risk of disliking her!! After all Dek is all bout Monya's dream come true!! I am enjoying the character of Monya no matter however nuisance she may appear to others!! Until and unless there is marked difference between Monya and Manyata in terms of psychic and physic predilection, what's so interesting about seeing the transformation!! Loved the Post made by ... My sentiments exactly! If Moniya were to immediately turn into Manyeta and be a goody two shoes like Akash, would we really like her character? If she gave up Akash for uday in a couple of episodes, would we really respect her character? So...you are right, Manyeta's character is full of fire, as Uday told her in their second meeting...and SHE NEEDS A MAN! Not water (ie Akash) to douse out her flame! Uday is totally right, Manyeta will overshadow Akash all the time...but with UDAY she is his EQUAL. And all this makes it much more interesting to watch her character develop and undergo changes.

No, but Jay, I get what your saying. People need to chill out and just be a little more patient. 😉

Exactly, and as I've said before, our generation is just too impatient...the whole delayed gratification issue just tends to sail over our heads...😊

I am not angry at Manyata, but at the CVs for changing her character so much from the beginning. She has good qualities, but right now, she is so into Akash that she cannot see beyond him. She will grow and mature, but I know it will take time. I do not mind that it will take time, I just wish she that CVs has kept her understanding nature from before. She uses her family, and lies to them, when before she would have not done that. In fact, before she was found and brought to the royals, I was hoping that she would teach some values she learned to the royals. Now she is preaching these values, but she is not following them. She is lying most of the time.

Maybe her initial experience with the royals (where she was taken and locked up in that room) made her a little distant from them, but DS, Komal, even Brijraj have shown that they love her and want her to be the dignified, responsible princess, so Manyata needs to change her views about them and respect them more. I understand her behaviour towards UV and I am not that bothered by it. She has many negative opinions about him and removing those views about him is going to take time and a lot of patience from UV's side. I am more bothered by how she treats her own family, particularly DS and Komal.

I understand everything you said above and totally agree on all things mentioned because when one looks at what is going on psychologically inside M's head its chaos because of everything happening. I just can't help but feel like the CV have made her character into this abnoxious and annoying girl for the sake of comedy. I am not sure the type of audience they are aiming at but I feel like the comedy aspect of Monya tranfering into Manyata could've been done without ruining her character in regards to her having a soft and sincere nature towards elders and those in need. In one of the episodes Jay pointed it out to her that she is nice to everyone and sympathizes with just about everyone, loves everyone except the people her family. There is absolutely no argument in her needing time and A LOT of time in order to adjust to having a family, being a royal, her father not being her father, and everything else that came with it- but does that really give her the free card to be just bluntly rude to others. In regards to her being close to Komal- that's another thing I have issue with because CV are showing her to go to Komal whenever she needs help and she does not hesitate to go off at Komal if Komal were to be against her. Even though I do have an issue with this- I know she needs time to love Komal they way Komal loves her. I just miss the soft and mature side of her character that we were shown when she was in chawl and was taking care of Amma even though she was a stranger. So I am not mad at the character I am more upset with writers for changing the characters for comic release. I do feel like its all done in order to make Monya's transformation seem more dramatic than it would seem if she were to seem more mature and didn't pull all the childish antics. But of course your welcome to disagree, I would love to hear your two cents- this is a pretty healthy debate. Thumbs up for a great topic 👍🏼
