why did Koki marry Ahem with Gopi?

I have been a silent member on this forum, and I havent seen all the previous episodes, but I want to know what was her thght process when she chose Gopi for Ahem? She wants someone to support her educated ambitious son and she got an uneducated one, so that she can only support but not interfere? I mean it seems that she doesnt like the closeness between Ahem and Gopi but does care for Gopi..she seems to be too over possessed for Ahem and thats why she wanted somebody like Gopi which she knew wont be accepted truly by someone like Ahem, so she can have the cake and the cherry too...meaning...have the son dependent on her, and have a gharelu bahu like Gopi...

I am confused on her character, does anyone know? was this disclosed in initial episodes? Mods can close it if this has been discussed already..
