What she is basically saying is this:

The borders between love and hate are blurred, it is hard to say where one ends and the other begins. Both are feelings and we have feelings for those who are close to us, who make a difference to us...with such people we like to assert our rights, because we feel we're entitled to do so.

So basically Arnav loves Khushi and Khushi loves Arnav, but their love might turn to hate...because hatred is an emotion we can feel only for those who we have loved, and on whom we presume to have rights.

The true opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference. If Arnav were to hurt Khushi badly, she would feel hate---because she feels a bond with him. Whereas for Shyam, she feels disgust, and is indifferent to what happens to him, because she was never attached to him in the first place.

Thanks a ton for translating it!!!!!!!!!!! By the 'twas a nice post!!!
