Taurani files complaint against Deepika

New Delhi, Feb 11 Bollywood producer Ramesh Taurani has filed a complaint against actress Deepika Padukone with cine-associations for quitting Tips Films'' "Race 2" at the eleventh hour.

New Delhi, Feb 11 (IANS) Bollywood producer Ramesh Taurani has filed a complaint against actress Deepika Padukone with cine-associations for quitting Tips Films' "Race 2" at the eleventh hour.

Deepika is said to have made an exit from the project following a Hollywood offer, and that too after having shot for a week.

The decision didn't go down too well with Taurani, who filed a complaint with the Cine & TV Artists Association (CINTAA) and Association of Motion Pictures & TV Programme Producer of India (AMPTPP).

Deepika has been informed by CINTAA about the complaint.

As per procedural norms, if an artist fails to respond to a complaint or grievance, the case then passes on to the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees).If still not addressed, the artist is then liable to face a Non-Cooperation Directive.

Explains senior producer Pahlaj Nihalani: "If Taurani has filed a complaint against Deepika, she will have to honour the dates which she had allotted to him. If she has given the same dates to any other producer, she cannot shoot for the other project."

An upset Taurani had said that he has been a part of the Hindi cinema industry for 25 years, but never faced such a situation before.

"Our directors and the other actors are extremely annoyed with her. Tips as a company in its last 25 years has never had a dispute with anyone in this industry, there is no single case in the association which involves us," he said.

Produced by Tips, the action thriller "Race 2" is scheduled for a November release.

Deepika is not going back..she is tired of her liquid diet...Saif Cancelled the 'hot' Turkey shoot in Jan to complete AV..he cant spare the 15 days in February either...

Good. I want her to suffer. 🥱 Don't like her face. A stone has better expressions than Deepika. Boycott her and then invite her to a stupid chat show and she will put all the blame on the Taurani's😆 and then claim she is soft spoken, cultured and what not🥱

I doubt Taurani has a case..he just lost his head..Race 2 could have revived TIPs..but I think he got over ambitious..

Saif has all Nawabi airs when it comes to heroines..He has always been particular about who he is cast opposite him..unlike Ajay Devgan,Akshay,Salman etc..

Weird move by Deepika. The only big movie she has is Dharma's Jawani Deewani with Ranbir.

And No Deepika's career is not over.

She's had a hit every year, other than last, since her debut in 2007

2007 - Om Shanti Om
2008 - Bachna Ae Haseeno
2009 - Love Aaj Kal
2010 - Housefull

Only Katrina and Kareena have a better success rate.

But she needs to sign up some big films.

But I really don't think dp should be compared to kareena, katrina because there are more senior than her...bebo's first movie was in 2000. Dp should be compared to sonam, sonakshi and anushka, they debuted around the same time or a year later

Katrina is senior to Deepika but Deepika is contemporary to Sonakshi? Weird Maths.
