Yeah long time.............I saw KYPH with a lot of interest after quite some time, I guess the loves vs honor debate which sparked yesterday did it for me!
First things first, the performance was universally excellent yesterday, right from Iqbal who always gets his expressions, his diction, his body language correct to Neha who falters once in a while, but she was amazing yesterday. And ofcourse, our surprise package was Amit............both as an actor and as the character, Prithvi!
Hard-hitting dialouge of the episode - Angad calling Kripa ''Public Property'' shocking both Kripa and the viewers alike!
Most well deserved knock-out of the episode - Prithvi punching Angad real hard on his face for insulting and demeaning Kripa so badly.
Most emotional scene of the episode - Lots of them actually, but the one that really hurt was Angad handing over his Wedding card to a silent and hapless Kripa.
Most disturbing scene of the episode - Angad contemplating on his marriage to Mishti and thinking about the time spent wtih Kripa.....and then deciding to further punish Kripa.
Most engrossing scene of the episode - Angad and Prithvi's confrontation at Prithvi's birthday party, with Kripa looking ready to vanish in the Earth and Mishti looking ready to murder her brother. Naina elated and Damini clueless.
Most embarassing and squirmy moment of the episode - Angad giving a wicked look at Kripa and asking her whether Prithvi is doing the same thing to her what he had done before. Kripa looked ready to die out of shock......and Prithvi's eyes literally popped out of his sockets!
Most intelligent person on-board in KYPH - Dadi ofcourse who refuses to come to Angad's wedding because the very foundation of his marriage with Mishti is based on a wrong premise! Way to go Dadi.....wish your grandson had inherited some of your wisdom.
Tragi-comical moment of the episode - Angad telling Kripa why does she have a depressed face when she is having the time of her life😆
Most thought provoking moment of the episode - Kripa refusing Dadi to marry Prithvi by stating that she does not want to marry him for support and sympathy and that she would rather live alone than pull him in the cesspool of her mess............it requires guts to refuse the man who loves you with all your heart and ready yourself for a life without love, hope and companionship!
Most Awwww moment of the episode - Prithvi telling Dadi that he wants to marry Kripa and accept her child as his own because he loves her and he will love everything that is associated with her. This guys is a living angel!
Most heart-stopping moment of the episode - Prithvi declaring infront of everyone that he loves Kripa and will marry her! Shame on you Angad......learn something from him!
Chilly Analysis - A very good episode indeed! Pretty dramatic and quite emotional. Angad doesn't look good with a clean shave, he looks too young and that wicked look is somewhat diluted! Iqbal acted extremely well yesterday, considering that any other actor could have gone into hysterics and blown the scene over the top, Iqbal delivered a muted performance and very effectively came across as a desperately and madly in love guy who has lost sense of all sight, now that he cannot have his own way!
Kripa was mainly quiet yesterday, and what can the poor thing say, after being subjected to such public humiliation by the man whom she is supposed to be in love with. But what I really liked was the fact that she doesn't buckle to any pressure and very clearly states to Dadi that she doens't want to marry Prithvi, just for the sake of the baby........Neha was good with her expressions yesterday, she was quite sober and understated and her face registered the perfect look of deep shame and regret along with agony and a lingering hope for Angad to come back to senses. Seriously, woman at times amaze me.........their capacity to love is just too complex and deep to understand!
Prithvi was just a pet yesterday! Except that I didn't think too much of the fact that he offers to marry Kripa in front of Angad and the others......he is just proving what Angad is trying to prove......that he and Kripa have a relationship! But I really liked the fact that he offers to marry Kripa out of love and not out of sympathy............poor thing, I really wish he moves on with his life and just continues being a friend to Kripa and nothing more. He is only going to bring himself unprecedented pain and anguish in the future..................love is only love when you recieve it back from the one you love...........one-sided love affairs are doomed from the beginning!
Waiting to see what happens when Angad finds out the truth and its too late to make amends..........................Kripa is still in the forgiving mode till now......judging by her expressions when Angad comes to give her the Wedding Card, she looked quite hopeful, poor thing! But once she loses the child, Angad will have no chance to say sorry also!
