Chilly, I am starting to doubt that one sided love is doomed... I am starting to believe that with continuous pouring of love and sincerity, you can make anyone fall in love with you.

I dont know, maybe the feminist in me is taking a very strong stand against Angad at the moment, but noone would be able to forgive him for what he is doing to Kripa at the moment. It is inexcusable, period.

I dont know what Kripa wud or shud do when he comes back to her for forgiveness, provided his conscience allows him in the first place to even ask for forgiveness, but she shud just forget him and get on with her life. With or without Prithvi, its not important.

Dew, I completely agree with you that a continous outpouring of love and dedication can melt any heart and surely a heart like Kripa's!

But the problem is that she is already in love! If she was not in love with Angad and also not in love with Prithvi and then married him, she would have surely fallen in love with him! But now her heart and soul is committed some place else, even if that guy is not worthy of it...............and howmuchever she wants and tries, she just cannot bring herself to love Prithvi the way a man desires a woman's love and in Prithvi's case deserves it!

Kripa has given herself away too much to Angad, both physically & metaphysically..............she really doesn't have much to offer as a friend, lover or companion to Prithvi...............even if she does fall out of love with Angad, she can never fall in love with Prithvi or anyone else..........pretty unfortunate, I would say, but loving someone too deeply has its share of pitfalls!

Chilly,

Maybe you are right.. but I think time is the biggest healer. And as they say, you shud never compare two people, specially the ones you fall in love with. Angad and Prithvi are as different men as can be possible.

Kripa has loved Angad with whatever she is worth, but she has seen the result. He hasnt been able to respect whatever she gave to him. THAT, if nothing else, is a big bruise to her heart, mind and her self. Its been literally a case of Angad taking Kripa's love and throwing it back on her face.

It will be very difficult for her to come out of love with Angad, or even think about any one else. It depends on her to first increase her self esteem, then gradually lower her defences and be open to love again, if she wants that it. Otherwise she can go on loving Angad, without making him an ACTIVE part of her life. Thats strictly her decision.

But I belive she can love again, provided she wants. Thats upto her.

I posted another post on this, on fiction vs an actual, live new age woman's thinking. I refuse to believe a woman today would digest all this humilation.

Oh yeah..........it is only in movies and films and books, that women put up with all this nonsense from men in the name of love! In real life, a woman would rather walk in solitary happiness than miserable togetherness!

While at it, I remember my mom who is a big fan of Saratchandra used to discuss on his female characters and the common thread amongs all his famous women characters, be it Chandramukhi of Devdas, or Bijoya of Datta, or Bindu of Bindur Chelle, Savitri of Charitraheen or his best loved woman, Lolita of Parineeta.............all of them were willing to give everything, sacrifice every bit of their life for their love..........be it love for their man, for a child or for a sister.............

Infact, I remember being disgusted by Sarat Babu's interpretation of women being these meek, servile creatures spending their life mourning for men who care two hoots about their emotions or feelings. But my mom explained, that the reason Sarat Chandra's women characters are exemplified today and are considered to be some of the best ever created were because of their enormous capacity to love, forgive and accept inspite and despite of everthing. Sarat Chandra's woman loved selflessly, devotedly and steadfastedly, without any reason, motivation or hope............love for the sake of love...............today I know why I am such a big fan of his novels and why his books are being made into super-successful movies!

Be it the charming courtesan Chandramukhi who loved the drunken to death Devdas without expecting anything in return, or be it the beautiful Bijoya of Datta who fought every obstacle on earth to be with the man she loved (and this was in the early 1900's!) or be it the strong, willful Lolita of Parineeta who considered herself bethroed by mind, body and soul to a man who accused her of everything possible..................

The strength of a woman is her capacity to Love.................unconditionally and selflessly. Love can become a weakness for man, for a woman it will always be her greatest weapon!

And if Kripa does decide to spend the rest of her life without anyone by her side except love in her heart...........she will survive and flourish..........as compared to Angad, who will crumble and vanish without Kripa besides him!

Hi Chills,

Someday, I think I'll be the only one left wanting A-K to be together...😆

You are a WUNNERFUL writer...what else can I say? You put things across so beautifully...not to forget your girlish and mischievious humour-tinge...your writing art has got both skill and sophistication which is really hard to find.Become a writer.

As for KYPH....well, the episode actually rocked..everything was bang-on except Prithvi's Devta act...it gave me jitters. I won't be able to stand another Piyush. I hope I am wrong.

As far as falling in love again is concerned...of course you can...people do fall in love again...but sometimes they don't...in rare cases they don't, simply because they cannot...there is just not anything left inside them.
