gosh he mustered the courage to say such nice things to her yet he couldnt find the power to accept her friendship...i hope he gets so overwhelmed with his feelings for her that he has no choice but to skip the friendship acceptance and go straight to declaring his love for her haha

Ok.. Meri Entry late hain iss baar.. Till now I was a silent reader, but I thought that I should break my silence now.. I loved the stiff yet soft Mayank who has built a wall around himself.. and the chirpy and the sensitive Nupur.. And yes, I am looking forward to read the friendly teacher-student duo...

Chapter # 10

"Gunjan please!"

Nupur threw the pillow at Gunjan and instead of moving away the way she should at such blunt accusation from Gunjan of Nupur falling for Mayank, she leaned and placed her head in Gunjan's lap, "you know I am not the kind of girl to fall for such an arrogant'"

Gunjan who had shifted to place her arms around her best friend grinned and put in, "handsome.."

Nupur: (glaring) "rude'"
Gunjan: " interesting"
Nupur (groaning) Gunjan! He actually said that to me and u are supporting him?"
Gunjan: " he was the one to announce truce by praising u infornt of ur dad'"
Nupur: (sitting up) "tm kis ke friend ho?"
Gunjan: " tumhari.. (quickly hugging Nupur) aur iseleye kehte hoon tmen..i have seen u change boys like u change cloths and then feel unsatisfied for days.. and this man, is actually different enough to keep u at hooks' as for his refusing to be ur friend, I guess that is because of ur dad.. Mayank respects him Nupur and so he won't mess up things but becoming a friend of his not so innocent daughter.."
Nupur: (hugging back) u make me feel like some notorious flirt.."
Gunjan: " no baby! U are one hell of a notorious heart breaker.. shall I give u a list? Gaurav? (counting on fingers) karan? Raj? Rahul? Dev? Arman?"
Nupur: " you can stop that! I got ur point! Ab kya karoon?"
Gunjan placed a pillow in her lap and propping her head on her elbows looked at Nupur, " it depends nupur.. you like Mayank or u DON'T like mayank?"
Nupur: "spit the solution please'"
Gunjan: "see Nupur.. this is not a joke ok.. are u really serious? I mean u like him?"
Nupur : "gunjan' (sighing and looking at her bestfriend) I think my sentiments for him have passed the boundaries of *just liking* Gunjan'"

"and what about the next hundred questions? Do u think u can complete them in 2 days Nupur?"
Mayank looked up at not receiving any reply for a while, and was greeted with a pair of the world's most beautiful eyes looking at him as if they had no wish to look anywhere but at him..
Taken aback he was left staring back at them and wouldn't have dared move his eyes but Nupur blinked and in that nano second, Mayank realized what he was doing, regaining his composure he coughed and repeated as if nothing had happened, " so 100 questions 2 days, is that okay Nupur?"

Nupur: "yup that's fine with me.."
Mayank: "I wont be coming in tomorrow anyway.."
Nupur: "kyun?"

This *kyun* came too spontaneously and so Nupur was unable to hide the concern and anxiety in her voice.

Mayank: "I have to go to my village tomorrow."
Nupur: "oh.. anything important?"

She had gained her composure back but the concern was still evident.
Mayank's jaw tightened and Nupur was afraid she had made the wrong move, until he replied in a bare whisper, "its my mother's death anniversary'"
