Ruk Jaana Nahi is banking on attractive promos to gain attention
Extensive marketing seems to be the mantra for a show's success. Creative heads make sure they air the promos of their upcoming shows so many times that the viewers get sucked in to watching them. And it looks like Playtime Creations an Star Plus have similar plans in mind for their upcoming show Ruk Jaana Nahi'Aa Rahi Hai Sanchi that is based on college and political life in the north and which will be aired on Star Plus. The promos of this show are already on air.
A source reveals, "The production house has been shooting for the promos of this show for nearly a week now. In fact, they have shot one promo with every character." When Tellychakkar.com spoke to producer Hemal Thakkar, he confirmed this.
The show will have Aniruddh Dave and Pooja Sharma as the lead actors and other actors like Paritosh Sand, Gyan Sahay, Vijay Kumar, Arun Bakshi, Sachal Tyagi, Sushil Bounthiyal, Zubin Dutt and Surendra Pal.
When quizzed about the casting, Hemal said that he is happy to work with stage actors. "I make it a point to have theatre actors in my shows as I feel they are really good at execution. And all the good actors are from theater. Mind you, I do not mean stars," he clarified.
Though there have been reports of the show getting the 10:30 pm slot, the buzz is that Ruk Jaana Nahi will get an 8:30 pm or 9 pm slot. However, Hemal refused to comment on the same.
Well, all we hope is that the marketing strategy pays off well and the show enjoys good viewership. All the best!!

Playtime Creations' next on Star Plus which is tentatively titled Ruk Jaana Nahi Tu Kahi Haar Ke is based on college politics and other issues faced by the youth of this country. The setting is based in North India. The show was earlier titled Sangarsh.
Furthermore, it was supposed to go on air early this month but got delayed.
The channel initially allotted 8:30 pm slot to the show which meant it would replace Mayke se bandi dor and compete with Sony's kaun banega crorepati. But Playtime Creations had another show Laagi tujse lagan in the same time slot on Colors. So to avoid clash of interests the production house decided to delay the launch of Ruk Jaana Nahi Tu Kahi Haar Ke.
A reliable source also informed to us that another reason for the show's delay was creative differences between the production house and Star Plus. However, everything has been sorted out now and the production house has decided to resume shooting from November 14. The source further revealed that the show will go on air from December 19 2011. However, the channel is yet to confirm its time slot.
Anirudh dave and Pooja Sharma are the lead actors in Ruk Jaana Nahi Tu Kahi Haar Ke.

A lot of actors refrain from doing negative roles; however, there are others who like trying out new stuff. Sushil Bounthiyal, last seen in Colors' Phulwa as Mangru, little Phulwa's (Jannat Zubair Rahmani's) father and probably the first actor to cry on Indian television, belongs to this breed. Incidentally, Sushil, who will be seen as a corrupt cop in Playtime Creation's next Ruk Jaana Nahi Tu Kahi Haar Ke on Star Plus, was approached by certain renowned production houses post Phulwa, to play father to the female leads, which he declined.
Sushil says, "I want to do something different. I have done comedy in the past and after Phulwa, I was looking out for negative roles." And the actor justifies his stance, "If you look at the history of negative roles, they have always been more complex hence, an actor gets to explore more. These characters have more shades and they are emotionally challenging and versatile. Therefore actors all around the world like negative characters more than the positive ones."
Of the current shows on air, Sushil loves the character of Sajjan Singh played by Anupam Shyam in Star Plus' Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya.
Ruk Jaana Nahi Tu Kahi Haar Ke - the show which he has signed on for - is based on college politics and other issues faced by the youth of the country. The setting is based in North India and Aniruddh Dave and Pooja Sharma are the lead actors in the show.
Hopefully, for him, the TV drama will give him the right platform to experiment and explore the various shade of negativity in his character. Go for it Sushil!

Colors' Phulwa saw Aniruddh Dave doing a swell job of playing Phulwa's cousin brother, Lakhiya bhaiya. This diverse actor has now moved on to perform in front of a 'real' audience as he will soon be seen doing a play with Paresh Rawal will titled 'Krishan V/s Khanaiya.'
Aniruddh informs, "The play is very popular, I am joining the gang and am very excited to play an important role in the play. I have a theatre background and doing a production with Paresh Rawal is an amazing experience. The play depicts the story of a guy who doesn't believe in God and how God comes down in a different look to teach him a lesson. It's a comic play."
Aniruddh Dave has also bagged a lead role in Star Plus' forthcoming show Ruk Jana Nahi Tu Kahi Harke which will be made by Playtime creations.
We wish Aniruddh the very best for his real-life performances!
