Darkness was all she could feel. Everything around her growing more and more dark. Flowers lost their sparkle, grew grayish and then to shades darker. She could feel darkness enveloping her. She hated darkness. Her aura had always been that of brightness, happiness, flowers, smiles and freedom all around. But she could feel this strange power nearing her, she could sense that it wasn't something she'd ever felt before or would feel ever again. She knew it was taking away from her, all that she wanted, her charm, her brightness, her strength and her freedom.
A smirk crossed across his face as he saw her being trapped in the forest. He could sense her fears, her eyes, which gave out every feeling crystal clear. It was as if her life was being slowly taken away. He loved seeing that expression on anyone he'd ever snatched life from, but not her. A strand of restlessness crossed his heart which made way to a frown in his forehead. He wanted this to end fast, take her and end it. And as swift as the thought he reached the forest. Saw her in the darkness, felt a triumph feeling. A gleam of Radiance and brilliance surrounded her, a glow that seemed to be diminishing as seconds passed. Eyes that had fear, heart that felt lost and her body restless, he saw her fighting for her life, her freedom, to get out of the darkness.
The sky grew darker as if warning her of something worse. She could not understand what was leading to such darkness. And all that was coming to her mind was the legend. The incoming of the evil and yet she did not see anyone around.
"Come forward, Show your face you evil" she shouted in agony.
"Why don't you show your face? Are you afraid of me? Are you so coward that you get all your work done by others?" she spoke enraged of the fact that there was no one and yet she could feel someone taking pleasure of this situation, of her being trapped in.
She felt the area grow darker, the earth cracking up now all more viciously. She moved around saving herself from falling in the cracks. She was enraged now. How dare anyone destroy her beloved surrounding? How dare anyone put her in a spot she couldn't even save herself or her surrounding? The air grew darker and hotter and she sensed the evil nearing.
"Lord only save us! Evil is here! The evil has put his shadows upon mother earth! Destruction is here, for he's to take no dead but a being alive!" The heaven world chanted and feared of what was going to happen. The old of the heaven went on to severe meditation, chanting their prayers to save the world of the ultimate destruction. But they knew whatever they did; the legend could not be undone. 'It shall be done the way the legend has it'. The various Lords and their people sat down preparing to witness the worst, their hands tied in the situation. They now only wished, whatever had to happen, to happen fast and end.
Shashank and Padma were agitated and worried. Agony flew in Padma's eyes. "Oh Lord, my daughter, my innocent daughter, save her, save her my Lord" She cried. "Karan, you're not going to touch my daughter" Shashank flew from here and there agitated, yet unable to do anything.
Even before he appeared she saw his silhouette, emerging out of the dark fog. The earth cracked up more and gave way for his emergence. As if he'd won mother earth and the nature, the fog surrounded him like his shadow, as he moved forward. The trees, even the fallen died ones, made way for him, the ones standing bowed before him, as to a Majesty. Flames flew through his silhouette and she knew what was nearing her wasn't something that any being liked or preferred to see. Flames, darkness and evil power. She made a dash for escape, but her feet deceived her. Her eyes searched hard and far for a hiding spot, but none visible or useful. It was just seconds and her mind had already thought of the possible consequences and failed to find any solution. Finally, she reached the insides of her heart and pulled out a few strands of brightness, tied it together with strands of happiness and threw it on the direction her hands went. Everywhere.
He closed his eyes and let out an irritated sound upon suddenly experiencing brightness and happiness meekly flowing around. He hated brightness and happiness, after all he was the God of fear and dark. He shun the effect down and moved ferociously towards the source of distraction. Within a blink of an eye he reached her. He saw the fear multifold now, cross her face. Her beautiful face, now pale and struggling. Her hands desperately trying to spread the brightness and her feet moving backwards.
She saw him, his personality, his dark eyes. She should have grown panicky, should have dashed out of there, should have screamed for help, but the only thing she did, she noticed was to stare into his dark eyes. Her feet moved backwards without any consent of her mind. He made her go backwards, made her feel powerless, helpless yet lose herself in his eyes. She stopped trying to pick out the strands of power now. He was intimidating her and she knew that but she could not do anything.
He moved forward, towards her, moving her further back. He never liked delay; he did things in a swift. And yet, here he was playing with her, her feelings, her heart, her mind and body and that gave him a triumphant feeling. In astonishing and confident strides, he went forward, to take her, to take her away with him.
She felt him nearing her, with speed that could not be defined as something ordinary. She did not even have the time to look back when she felt herself being trapped between the evil and a giant tree trunk. He did not stop. He came close as close as he could and there wasn't a distance that was visible between them. She closed her eyes dreading of the worse, what had to happen was happening now.
"Shilpa" his voice roaring, strong, and death racing, but softened as he saw her fear struck pale face.
She opened her eyes as she felt his hands on her soft cheek. She shivered the backed away further as if it was possible. She saw it irritated him, as he came upon herm his face deathly now, as he locked her hands onto her back and brought them close. And touched her softly, yet again.
"Get away from me, you evil creature, I shall not allow you to win upon me" Shilpa pushed him back as she pulled a few more, powerful strands of light and happiness combined it with brightness and fragrance of roses, she knew it irritated him. She made a big ball of her powers, concentrated and aimed it at him straight at his heart.
"Try me" he said casually, as he very easily blocked her powers. Although he blocked her weapon, the lingering smell of roses and the glint of light made his posture stumble a little. He was surprised as well as agitated that her powers had any effect on him.
Shilpa felt helpless, hopeless as she saw him stride across her attack casually. But she somewhere sensed it did agitate him. But before she could react he closed upon her, pushed her to the tree with a thud, covering her.
"You Demi-Goddess! What do you think? You even have a chance in front of me? Do you even know who I am? What power i hold it in me? I can turn you into ashes with just a swish wave of my hand." Karan spoke in a deadly tone
"I know what you are! You are EVIL, reckless creature, man with no heart whatsoever, one who kills people and snatches their happiness. Shame on you, you haunting ugly creature" Shilpa shot back. She had stopped trying to build up power. he knew it was of no use, and would only make her tired and lose power.
"Ugly?" Karan laughed. "Ugly huh?" He said as he came closer. Locking her hands at her back, he made her come towards him, his face inches to hers. "That is the one thing I am not, and you know that" he breathed upon her lips, and felt her quiver under his hold. He closed in further.
"This forest, you saw? It bows down to me. Mother earth herself is powerless in front of me. Its me, God of Underworld, who dominated, controls the whole of the Universe and You cant even touch my shadow. " He softened his voice and brought a smirkish tone as he said the last part, blowing onto her lips.
He released his hold on her her hands and took her by her waist, as he picked her up with his powerful arms, her beautiful long hair flowing down his hands and she let herself free, as if lifeless. He gave her a jerk and she realised what was happening.
He saw her shiver, eyes panicky, fear struck, helpless as he carried her in his arms. He let out a triumphant victory smile. "You're mine now. Mine!" He saw her face for one last time, as he carried her in his strong, masculine arms, arms that the world feared of, protecting her from his own flames, he moved in strides that made their own way, into the world of death, the deadly, and the dark.
What had seemed to be ages, had happened in just blink of an eye and no one could even think of doing anything as he took her away with him. What had to happen, had happened!
