In this forum, lots of discussion have been made about Vidya being a victim of selfish mother in law and to some extent - her gay husband. But does anyone wonder how it feels like being gay and married to a woman in our society? Not being able to satisfy his wife sexually, not being able to father a child (though most of them are successful in doing so), not being able to have emotional attachment with wife and difficulty in pursuing gay relationship outside married life, the gay man suffers a lot and lives a vacuum life for rest of the years. Some even choose to suicide being unable to cope with the mental pressure he has to undergo everyday. I had expected Maryada serial to show some positive aspects of gay relationship but now with Gaurav out of the picture, this issue remains as it is. Is the only solution going abroad far from society and family?

You are right, but with Dakssh making a sudden decision to quit by 25th Jan, I guess the writers couldn't think of anything but sending Gaurav abroad.

The creatives could have done a lot with Gaurav's story. The story focused on Adi-Brahma-Dev-Priya for a while, so I guess the character got sidelined, which Dakssh wasn't too happy about, so he quit. But, Dakssh is correct that his character did not develop since he came out to members of the family. Had Dakssh stuck around for a bit, I am sure the creatives would have found ways to show other aspects of Gaurav's life, given the show now has 6 more months.

Dakssh is a great actor, but I think they should find a new actor to play Gaurav's part (but the show only has 6 more months, so they probably won't do that!) Looks like this was the end of Gaurav-Karan's story, hope more such stories will follow in new shows. Very sad to see it end abruptly!

Yes because of Gaurav's decision to quit ,they left it on an easy path of changing the country which isnt an option for homosexual men in India.
No wonder all these bollywood people opt to hide themselves behind a curtain by marrying a girl😔
