Classic 90's Revisited Part 2: PARDES

😉 Since you guys enjoyed talking about Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, let's talk about Pardes in part 2 and revisit the classic 90's again. PARDES was a great film back in the day. Subhash Ghai was in form during this time after the supersuccess of Khal Nayak. It was his first directorial venture with SRK! SRK showed how passionate he was in his acting and it was heartfelt. This is one of the movies where I enjoyed his performance for once. 😆 And a stunning debut came in the form of Mahima Choudhary. She was a talent to be reckoned with. Sadly, she couldn't mirror the success of PARDES with her later films. 😭 The movie is remembered for its bashing of NRI's. A lot of people took offense to this film actually. And the songs were awesome as well! But, it is still remembered as one of the classic films of the 90's. Please share your thoughts and let's start Part 2 with a bang!

I like this movie. For me one of SRK's better performances.

I've seen Khal Nayak & loved it. Pardes wasn't upto the same standard IMV.

I find that aspect of it highly amusing since SRK has such a huge fanbase amongst non resident desis. I always get a chuckle out of that. 😆

It was an absolute crap movie. Subhash Ghai should only thank SRK for the movie clicking.
