Sandhya Clever or Just Bookish or Patronising

I wondered whether Sandhya is a clever, well rounded personality or just a bookish girl. That is some one who has mugged up well and scored well in exams. Is she a nerd who has achieved good marks but is so uncool. I mean we have all seen such species at college!

Are you not too judgemental about Sandhya?

On second thoughts, I feel you may be right in some way.

They should have shown Sandhya at college. With her friends. Watching movie with her bhabhi.

Not beer. But eating out with friends.

yeah I agree sandhya is all that. but i dont understand how she could resist when she has a hot husband like suraj. 😉 the girl keeps a poker face when he touches her. dont know what happens during their first night hehe 😛

Yes, that is so true. She has such a poker face.

I think her mother and bhabhi did not allow her to enter the kitchen at all. And Sandhya also might not have shown interest. It happens like that in some houses.

Why is it annoying to be a good student? I fail to understand why being studious or not having a boy friend in college would make her less well rounded. Do you mean to say that girls who bunk classes and go out with their boyfriends are more rounded. At 19 years of age most girls have not seen the world and hence cannot be well rounded. You gain that with experience which Sandhya is getting aplenty in the Rathi household. As far as not being able to make tea, I don't think that is such a big deal. Sandhya has always been more into academics and detested household chores. Her parents did not want to distract her from her goal. Who knows if things went normal and her parents were alive, Sandy may have learnt cooking after her studies but fate intervened and she is forced to learn things fast and is doing a good job of it too. It is not necessary that everyone should know everything but one has to see whether a person is willing to learn the lessons life teaches them and become wiser and we see that Sandy is doing a remarkably good job at it.

As to romance, she will learn that too under the able guidance of her handsome husband who seems quite willing to wait.


To your topic, yes Sandy was single-minded in goal of becoming an IPS officer before marriage which made her focus more on academics and not bother with household chores but after marriage she has seen far more of life and is quickly learning to not only manage her marital house but also its quirky inhabitants. She takes every hurdle thrown her way as a challenge and is putting in her efforts to overcome them. This will stand her in good stead, especially when she goes through the rigors of training for IPS.

There is this other serial where the innocent looking wide eyed looking heroine does all those things like bunking classes, telling lies etc.

I prefer Sandhya to her who is sincere and more focussed. Once it was her studies and now household chores. and also learning things like making puppets etc. If this is not well rounded, then what is?

Sandhya is the perfect middle class girl whom every parent adores. Studious, sincere and when time comes adjusting.
