She couldn't believe it. He was kissing her. His warm, tender lips teased hers with a sensual gentleness that made her want to melt against him. He tilted his head slightly, and then brushed her lower lip with his tongue. Instantly she parted for him.

He claimed her—passionately. There was no mistaking his need, or his desire. He liked her.

"You like me?" she asked when he drew back.

He gave her a smile that spoke of male confidence. "Yes"

She supposed she should have bristled at his assumption, but she'd waited too long to be anything but happy.

"From the first day I saw you" he said, rubbing her lower lip with his thumb. "Since always"

Her breath struck in her throat, she could not believe this he has always liked her

He glanced toward the crib and saw Lata still sleeping soundly near it and said. "Even before you told me the truth, from the very day when you collided into me at that Mela ground I was stumped"

He put his arm around her and led her to the terrace. When they were settled on the swing, he pulled her close. Her head was spinning. She asked, "But you seemed to have hatred in your eyes, you even refused to help me"

He smiled and cupped her face, "yes, that was supposed to be happening, but that was only what I wanted everyone to think, the truth was the moment your touched me I felt an electric jolt, which I much later realized was not due to repulsion but attraction"

She was dumbfound she never expected that even though he had feelings for her but will ever admit, what she did not know was that the knowledge of being tied up with her as man and wife even on paper was letting him pour his true feelings for her. She tried to ease her pounding heart and asked, "Maan, by any chance do you love me?" she closed her eyes fearing his response

He was taken aback by the question but did not want it to move that fast, he sighed and said, "It's already past midnight, Geet I think you must try to catch some sleep, you have your classes in the morning, good night"

He stood up and helped her to stand and slowly guided her to her room, she wanted to know her answer but when she saw him she knew that he was not entertaining any more questions and quietly followed him, once near the door he smiled at her and waved a bye and pointed her to go and sleep and as soon as she closed the door he stepped down to the outhouse to catch some sleep before the dawn breaks.

Next day both were in a very good mood, DM did not fail to notice them and prayed, "God, make them one soon, I am desperate to see Geet in bridal attire and Maan in groom's"

They sat on the dining table having their breakfast, and DM initiated as she knew Maaneet won't say a word to each other, "Geet I was thinking now that Maan is free from Sameera why don't we find a bahu for this house"

Maaneet choked over their food and DM enjoyed the scene, Maan wondered what was his DM trying to say it was she who had him married her on papers now what was she doing by saying all this, he said, "but DM"

DM glared at him and said, "I am not talking to you Maan" Geet who was already disheartened by what DM just suggested drank some water to calm herself and looked at Maan hoping to see hs reaction but by this time he had returned to his expressionless self, she sighed and said, "DM do you have any particular girl in your mind?"

DM was satisfied by the baffled look in her eyes, "yes, Beta this girl Anaya is looks quite good"

Now Geet was shocked, she very well knew Vicky and Anaya relation, she sighed and said, "but DM, Anaya is Vicky's Girlfriend"

DM coolly said, "Yes, I know that's why I was thinking about their marriage"

Now Maan got it, his DM was teasing Geet and trying to see how she would react, he said, "what were you thinking Geet? Were you suggesting my marriage" DM wanted to laugh at what he said but checked herself seeing the younger' girl's flushed face.

Geet immediately said, "no, I were not thinking about your marriage with some other girl" she bit her tongue and cursed her big mouth

Maan raised his eyebrows and said, "some other girl, do you have some girl in your mind Geet?"

DM could not help herself so she raised quickly and said, "I forgot I had had some work excuse me" and rushed to her room and collapsed in laughter

Maaneet silently finished their meal and headed to their workplaces kissing the little Angel on either cheeks
