'Our egos clash all the time'
Aman Verma and Amar Upadhyay can't see eye-to-eye on the sets of Viraasat. Is it affecting their on-screen chemistry?

Aman Verma and Amar Upadhyay have been household names for some time now. Both were seen together in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. At present, the two are also acting in Star Plus' Viraasat. The latest buzz is that both actors have developed some serious differences. According to eyewitnesses on the sets, the actors do not communicate with each other at all. This comes as a surprise as the two know each other well since their Kyunki… days.
"I admit that Amar and I don't interact at all," says Aman Verma, who plays an arrogant tycoon in their serial (and so does Amar). "It doesn't matter who my co-star is. When I face the camera, I only think of the character I'm playing. The actor standing in front of me is of least importance to me. My personal feelings for Amar take a backseat when we're together on the sets," Aman says matter-of-factly, and feels he's on the sets to act and not to make friends.
It is alleged that the two had a showdown on the sets. "There was no showdown," says Aman. "We are two separate individuals, and we think differently. Amar has his own take on certain issues and I have my own. So, a clash is inevitable. In fact, we agree to disagree over a lot of things."
In fact, both actors are trying their best to avoid any unpleasantness by keeping out of the other's way. Amar Upadhyay says, "Personally, I've nothing against Aman. Even today, we have our creative differences. That's bound to happen when you're working with someone 24/7. We have different work strategies. There's no insecurity between us. We're both confident and secure actors. But our egos clash all the time. It's just a question of one-upmanship," admits Amar Upadhayay.
Nevertheless, unit members of Viraasat feel that the cold vibes between the have started to affect their on-screen chemistry. "That cannot possibly be true. Both of us strive for excellence," refutes Aman.
