{As planned with Ishu, Rajbeer reaches Preeto's house sharp at 7pm. The evenings had started getting pleasant with the approaching monsoons. Ishu had said there was something that needed to be discuseds. Seeing the door open, he comes into the house and finds it empty. "Sab kahan chale gaye?" he mumbles to himself'.He looks around for them in the kitchen and peeks into other rooms; he is in one of the corridors when a voice calls out to him from behind'.from a little distance'.from the doorway of the other room, may be'}
Preeto : Peeche mat mudna!
RB : Preeto'? {He stops mid-step'}
Preeto : Aur, aankhein band' {She walks towards him with cautious steps'She is dressed up for the evening ' in a Sari! He is still stalled, and is about to turn around towards her..'}..'Maine kaha na peeche mat mudna'khabardaar!
{Preeto reaches out to him from behind ' raised on her toes, stretching herself as much as she could, as she tries to reach the height of his tall frame; but her hands don't reach further than his shoulders'
She has a long scarf in one her hand with which she intends to blind fold him}
RB : Aree'kyaa kar rahi ho'.? {Caught unawares by her action, he is amused! Without turning around he tries to reach back to her with his hands' he has a mischeivious smile on his face!}
Preeto : Haath aage'no shararat..no cheating' aankhein band rakho'
Offo! Kitne lambe ho'zara neeche ho na' {She tries to lower him, pulling at his shoulders, to bring him to her height'so that she can reach his face and tie the scarf over his eyes'.}
RB : Kyun? tumhara stool kahan hai?...
{He chuckels, with a twinkle in his eyes, that is not visible since his eyes are closed'But the twinkle has crept into his impish smile '! He cannot resist teasing her!
At the same time, he is bemused as he realises that she is trying to cover his eyes with a blindfold}
RB : 'Kya Kar rahi ho Preeto'.?
Preeto : Aapki aankhon pe patti bandh rahi hoon'
RB : Kyun? Tumhe dekhne pe tax hai aaj se?
Preeto : Haan'main museum mein rakha display hoon'.! ...Ab chaliye'
{The scarf securely tied over his eyes, she gently nudges him to move on, as she walks behind him, her hands at his fore arms to guide the way'He starts walking reluctantly'.
He stops moving after a few steps'}
RB : Kahan le ja rahi ho'..? Aur aankhein kyun band kar di meri'rasta bhi nahi dikh raha'
Preeto : Arre! Ruk kyun gaye'? 'Chalo'. {Using an imploring tone she gives him a gentle push}
RB : Nahi'!...pehle batao kya ho raha hai. main nahi chalunga aise. {He uses an obstinate tone, and brings his hands to rest on his waist- What is she upto?}
Preeto : Kyun mujhpe bharosa nahi hai'? {She tries to manipulate him with her sweet, charming, and innocent tone!}
RB : Nahi! {Her sweetness is met with his dejection ' I know what you are trying to do! Don't try to manipulate me..!
Rajbeer gets hit by Preeto on the arm for that answer, in a demonstartion of mock annoyance}
RB : Batao na'. {He change his tactic- shifting to a cute pleading tone'please'.}
Preeto : Oh ho'.aapke liye surprise hai'chalo toh'abhi pata chal jayega'..{She nudges him to move}
RB : Achcha baba chalta hoon'{he lets out a long breath as he gives up his resistance..}
par aankhein toh khol do'kya bachpana hai? Main gir gaya toh'? {continuing the pleading}
Preeto : Nahi girenge...Main girne nahi doongi' {and she gives him a nudge to push him to move}
{He knew he couldn't win against her stubborness. Why does he even try?!
He also knew that she was upto something'and the expectation was now begining to excite him!
They continue walking- Rajbeer blindfolded and smiling, Preeto behind him' Just as they approach the stairs, Preeto stops and lets go of Rajbeer as she has to go inside one of the rooms to get something'}
Preeto : Ek minute'yahin ruko'.
RB : Ab kya?
{Rajbeer stands in a state of confussion as Preeto runs inside saying "Aa rahi hoon'";
As she runs, the bells of her payals tinkle loudly! Rajbeer gives an amused frown as he tries to figure out what's going on'accompanied by a naughty smile as he recognizes the sound of Preeto's payal'.! It lights up his smile'.He tries to anticipate her movements from the sound of her payal'
Meanwhile, Preeto returns with a cake on a plate ' She had kept it ready with lots of candles on it'one for each year and one for good luck' She grabs Rajbeer's hand, sliping her palm into his and leads him up the stairs; this time she shows the way from the front...
Rajbeer starts to enjoy the suspense now'! }
