Ajith and Vijay to Clash

Matraan's release has been postponed to June! The film was expected to release around March/April but there are still a lot of works pending that the director KV Anand and lead star Suriya have decided to put off the release to June.

There were also some expectations that Ajith's Billa 2, Vijay's Thuppaki and Suriya's Matraan would also release around the same time. With Matraan opting out of the race, it looks like Ajith and Vijay will clash head-on at the box office this Tamil New Year's Day.

Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti and has Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah as the female leads while AR Murugadoss has donned the director's robes for Thuppaki. Kajal Agarwal is the female lead in this film.

Thuppaki was always meant to be a mid-2012 release .. and they only recently started shooting ...

no way they'll get it done in time for April ..

Billa 2 and Maatraan were planned for this April .. but now Maatraan is postponed to June ..

Thuppaki's initially fixed release time was July or August ... it'll hopefully release then, if there are no delays 😃
