I haven't read the novel because there is no English version of it:-( I do want Khirad to become an independent woman and Ashar to suffer after the truth is revealed but isn't Khirad already independent, she has raised her child all by herself. Oh and about the ending, I want them to reconcile because if Allah(SWT) can forgive his servant then why can't we do it?
