Now that Maryada is about to end I thought of sharing how we have gone to love and hate some characters.

I started watching the show loving Aditya's blind and obssessive love for Priya and to a certain extent admiring Uttara's zest for life. I used to absolutely hate Devyani for her hypocrisy and Gaurav's cowardness (complying with his mum's wish and marrying an innocent girl) used to irritate the hell out of me.

As the drama is coming to an end my feeling for each of the character has taken a 180 degree turn. I just abhore the blind love Aditya has for his Dad as a result of which he refutes logic. Now I hate Uttara's the very same zest for life which made her bretray her sister's trust as she wanted to take the second chance life was giving her without thinking of the consequence.

I have developed absolute admiration for Devyani. She coould have refused to go back to Brahama even for her children and made a life for herself but she didn't. A lot a people see this whole act of hers as sign of a weakness but I choose to see slightly differently. I see her as a woman with a lot of internal strength. It takes a lot of courage to knowingly go back to a life which is destined to bring her misery even if its for the sake for one's children.

As the drama has progressed I have just grown to love Gaurav's character and now I prefer watching his scenes more than Aditya's.

If my feelings for some characters have changed two characters for which it has been the same from the start of the drama are RD and Brahama. Roshini Devi, I loved her from day 1 and will love her till the last episode but at the sametime my hatred for Brahma has been consistent.

Have to say both of them are so similar in the way their brains work and their bollywood references😆😆😆 to any serious situation yet on one side we have RD who you can't help loving however annoyingly she behaves and on the other side DIG who you just love to hate but can't igno

Surprise!😲 I bet you didn't expect to see me here eh?😃

I watched Maryada earlier on have had a look on and off but when news of show going off air came along decided to see how they wrap it up. Aditya has turned dumb. He's working with 😛his educated brain? Gaurav tells him to hear the facts, Priya pleads with him to listen, his mother gives him a stinging volley on the face and his grandfather tells him to get lost when he goes after his mother and none of that stoked a spark in his brain to question ... there must be something worth looking into here if everyone he's had a close relationship is inviting him to consider the facts.😛

Gaurav turned out to be the better son. He, like his mother didn't selfishly drop Vidya by the wayside after Karan came into his life, he still cares for her happiness.

Even when Deviyani mentions her sister's affair with her husband Adi refuses to consider there could be a glimmer of truth in her words under oath given Uttara was sitting there looking guilty as hell. Maybe Adi is a lot like his father after all. Both go after what they want, turning on the charm. He hasn't cheated on Priya, who knows how he'd have turned out at his Dad's age. After all the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

DIG is the apt title for Brahmanand at the moment. He's DIGging a big hole for himself with his cocky confidence that's misplaced. He knows RD is privy to a few of his secrets yet he boldly turns on the heat on Deviyani in her presence in the courtroom. Pride before the fall off the cliff. Wait till RD's secretary tells her DIG was DIGging a grave for her son. Love her attempt to speak English 😆and the loving vulnerable heart of a mother when it comes to her son behind the hard exterior she puts up.

Hope they finish the show with DIG getting his just rewards and Adi learning a lesson of a lifetime. Too bad the grandpa hasn't had much of a role. His interaction with his son and bahu were a treat to watch. Very talented actor indeed.

Uttara's daughter is supposedly smart but she didnt' pick up on her mother's major meltdown on her birthday or question it. Talk about low self-esteem that she loses begs DIG to make her his wife after dumping her sister. YIKES! Her redemption may be that her conscience finally stokes her into telling the truth to save her sister's honor.

The lawyer character was an interesting addition, too bad the show is wrapping up before it's time. Indian TV is still dominated by saas bahu stories recycled in it's formulaic storytelling.🤔

I watched Maryada earlier on have had a look on and off but when news of show going off air came along decided to see how they wrap it up. Aditya has turned dumb. He's working with 😛his educated brain? But this won't be the fist lead who is blinded by his loyalties towards one particular person. Lets not forget the ganwar blinded by such faith. Aditya takes things on face value. He sees his parents have been married happily for so many years thanks to Devyani's effort to hiding Brahma's true identity from her children. Then he sees his mother's doing salsa with guy much younger and more handsome than his father. After that his mum initiates the divorce. So too certain I extent I find his dumbness justified. Gaurav tells him to hear the facts, He will find it difficult to trust him as he is aware that Gaurav and his beloved father do have their differences.Priya pleads with him to listen, He has been aware that his lovely wife has not been truely honest with him since day 1 where as his pujia pithaji has always come straight forth with him his mother gives him a stinging volley on the face that was the best part btw why did she stop with one I wonder😆😆 and his grandfather tells him to get lost when he goes after his mother and none of that stoked a spark in his brain to question ...Doesn't it amaze you that he is in politics😆How long do you think his career will last?. there must be something worth looking into here if everyone he's had a close relationship is inviting him to consider the facts.😛

Gaurav turned out to be the better son. He, like his mother didn't selfishly drop Vidya by the wayside after Karan came into his life, he still cares for her happiness. Very true he is as selfless person like his mother. I could the similarity between those two characters. His bonding with his mum is so geniune and pure. I loved him in y'day's episode when he wanted to throttle his Dad outside the court.

Even when Deviyani mentions her sister's affair with her husband Adi refuses to consider there could be a glimmer of truth in her words under oath given Uttara was sitting there looking guilty as hell. Maybe Adi is a lot like his father after all. Both go after what they want, turning on the charm. Have to add that he has been shown having no qualms about using his or his Dad's power to his advantages just like his Brahma He hasn't cheated on Priya, who knows how he'd have turned out at his Dad's age. After all the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It is possible but I am more than happy to not to think along that direction

RD and Brahama both like ruffling each others feathers. I want the PA to identify Verma asap so that RD come to know off it and then can't wait for her to strangle that man.

Hope they finish the show with DIG getting his just rewards waiting for the day and Adi learning a lesson of a lifetime. Knowing Aditya's character I think he will never learn Too bad the grandpa hasn't had much of a role. His interaction with his son and bahu were a treat to watch. Very talented actor indeed. I find the whole starcast quite talented

Uttara's daughter is supposedly smart but she didnt' pick up on her mother's major meltdown on her birthday or question it. Talk about low self-esteem that she loses begs DIG to make her his wife after dumping her sister. YIKES! I think she was planning to trap him at the same time ensuring her daughter is safe. Her redemption may be that her conscience finally stokes her into telling the truth to save her sister's honor. I don't know I can't just forgive her. Yes Devyani didn't love her husband but you don't just do what she did. She is responsible for the divide in the family. She reponsible for a son calling his mum characterless

The lawyer character was an interesting addition, too bad the show is wrapping up before it's time. Indian TV is still dominated by saas bahu stories recycled in it's formulaic storytelling.🤔 I am disappointed too. I would have liked to see loads of things after Brahma going to jail. Vidya making a life for herself and eventually falling in love again, mature romance between Devyani and the lawyer. See Gaurav's and Karan relation progress from where it is at present, Priya completing her education and joining her futur father in law's firm😆😆

I didnt' know you were on this forum😲 or I would have come by earlier😃. Haven't watched the other show since last June/July but do stop by to chat with friends there and toss in a comment now and then after reading a few posts..

SP should consider changing the RIshta Wohi Soch Nayi...their shows start with a new concept and sooner or later falls into the formulaic saas bahu and kitchen politics. This show dared to shed light on the dark side of issues in society with a talented cast to boot. Such cutting edge shows will always be short-lived until the Indian audience is open to something new and edgy.

Wonder if they will ever consider making these shows purely for the online audience worldwide at some point. 🤔 The producers will find an appreciative audience online for shows like Maryada.

First they give it a 11pm slot which fair enough as its content was for adult audience but then they shouldn't expect it do have gr8 trp because of the time slot. It had its loyal audiences who watched it regularly.

After I had given up the other show I regularly watched this one as I really loved it now I guess I will have to stick to my TVD😉
