Why is maryada never featured on sbs?

I know that in the beginning maryada was a feature of sbs and shows like telly tadka, but for the past few months there have been no segments about maryada..

I guess this is one explanation for why maryada received such low trps...no one really heard about the show. there were no promos, and shows like sbs didnt even feature segments on it.

What's even stranger is that now the show is going off air, sbs didn't even put a segment to announce it. I find that so odd...for every other show they always announce, even if only in a 30 sec segment, that it is going off air.

I guess this once again shows how difficult it is to be different in indian soaps. A show like maryada, with its depiction of divorce, homosexuality, along with other realities that are often ignored in media, was never given the media attention and publicity it deserved. despite having such a beautiful story and probably the best actors in Indian television, maryada never received the same sort of coverage as saas bahu serials.

I feel that now especially, when so much is happening in the show, sbs should feature maryada in a few episodes. I would love to see interviews of the cast, how they feel about the show ending, what memories they made, and what the show meant to them, but I doubt this will happen 😒

I was wondering the same thing. And the other day, they had that segment with all the hit jodis and everyone had a long segment and they showed RaQesh and Ridhi for two seconds, so they showed everyone but just like a little promo thing for these two but not the actual segment. That really annoyed me. Maryada is the only show which is never shown on SBS. I think the last segment was at Karvachaut. It's really not fair.

ppl need to accept that homosexuality has been in india since ancient times...and the show is not about gay culture at all. Its a story about a family in which one member happens to be gay. I'm sure we all know people who are gay or lesbian, so why shouldn't television depict this. lol. so odd

So true. Shows like Maryada depict what ACTUALLY happens in the society but people don't want to learn or see anything. They just want to see saas bahu serials where people in the household cry 365 days a year. (no offense) what happened to the slogan. rishta vahi, soch nayi. this is not nayi soch. after ending this serial i think that "sajdaa tere pyaar mein" serial's gonna start. looks like another love story between a boy and girl. Isn't star plus serials filled with love stories of boys and girls. stories may be different but somewhere in between there is also a guy and a girl with a love story.

promos, advertisements are really important to make viewers learn about a show. but with maryada it never happened. as a result they are forced to end the show. it's Sad and disappointing. Very very disappointing.

I'm surprised too with so much happening in Maryada at the moment theres still no segment on SBS, SBB or any other news channel. SBS were there at the time of the New Years Party but still nothing was shown.

Wow was this show really criticized because it featured homosexuality and divorce? These things are REAL way more real than the crap they show on sass bahu serials. I'm so sad that people in Indian society are so close-minded. Sorry to all the men/women that can never come out to their families. So sorry for all the Indian women who get mentally and physically tortured by their husbands and never get a chance to leave. Let's just all watch pavitra rishta and see archana and manav's never ending, overdramatized and unrealistic relationship story! (no offence)
