Or is there something more to him not liking wedding celebrations?

I keep remembering that little scene from his past, where Angali is the bride, there is music, then the sound of a gunshot(?) before he (?) shouts "Ma!" - It would be so great if some of his distaste for fun marriage events is because of that, and then AFTER she wins the Sangeet competition, Khushi finds out about it, and has a moment of realization, and maybe begins to understand him better.

Hopefully! I think khushi needs to know more about arnav for understanding him. Cause she still is like a kid doesn't know much about his likes and dislikes. I think cvs should start unfolding the past of arnav now! So that way khushi knows more about him,

I think its inconsistent writing that is to be blamed cos anjali already mentioned there was a sangeet in her wedding. and also Arnav enjoyed the oo la la performance by the ladies.

The CVs have taken the top down approach(IT folks would agree). They decided they needed a 'competition between the leads 'first and then started thinking 'how do we get there'? and hence these scenes.

I would actually really like it if they showed something like that, at least it would give some meaning to all this sangeet stuff we're being bombarded with lately and maybe we would see a more thoughtful and understanding Khushi, more like she used to be...? I really want them to at least start to uncover some of ASR's past and this might shed some light, even if its just a few rays.

Hope the cv's are insightful enough to take things forward in this way...

But anjali told once in yesterdays epi that there were sangeet etc in her own marriage, and he didn't say anything in that time. So why now? I'm sure he refused bcus of khushi, bcus he knew and saw that they were practice for the sangeet!

Anne - it would be beautiful if they brought in some understanding but right now we got charades. And unfortunately, I think, that's all we are going to get. It doesn't matter how ASR feels anymore about anything, because no matter what - Khushi is right because her heart (because he doesn't have one) is always in the right place. And that is how they will sell the silence about Shyam - her heart was in the right place and ASR will be made out to be a beast to think otherwise. End of story.

If they want they can still spin it. Because Angali is his sister, and he would do ANYTHING for her, including pretend to enjoy a sangeet at her wedding. He doesn't have to be like that for anyone else, because his Di is the only one he cares about.

I have a feeling there wont be a sangeet at all.. something big is gonna happen before that.

otherwise why would they show kushi's 'mami performance' tomorrow...

shouldnt that be the surprise reveal on sangeet day??

The thing is why would ASR care about winning and losing in a sangeet!

And him tripping and the conversation that followed...
drawing from the little experience i have of daily soaps its downhill from here.
We have lost the original characters, not just KKG and ASR, even Nani, Anjali and Mami
