the misunderstanding is of old...just now she slapped him coz she could not handle his nearness which reminded her of old memories.

i am not very sure of the ff dear ...so i have not posted it...it can be a controversial ff( as in many may not like maan part and many may not like Geets part...and they will the curse me😉😆)

Seriously!!You should become a mystery writer...No doubt that you are good in other areas like romance,etc also...The thing is, you know how to make your readers hold their breath and all they i.e we do is guess..

Part 8

As they danced on the slow number Maan had a naughty smile on his lips.

Bringing her closer, he slowly whispered in her, "Strike One, Geet"

Part 9

Hearing him whisper "Strike One" in her ear brought her senses to the ground with a thump. Keeping both her hands on his chest she pushed him away.

"Why Sameera Maan?" she asked him in a broken voice, "it looks like, you have not forgotten her. Why did you call her here, when you know how much I hate her?"

It wasn't for the lack of understanding that delayed his response but surprise. He could not believe even after all these years she still held a grudge against Sameera. He racked his brain to think of some answer. He had never given a thought to it.

"So you want an answer"

"Yes"

Did he detect a hint of wariness in her voice? Good. Geet was always more fun when she was caught off guard. She always did something radical, something totally unexpected. And he liked unexpected.

"Ok come to the woods to our place tomorrow and I will tell you"

There was a sarcastic laugh from her, "do you still believe I am that 15 year old girl, who used to idolize you and would blindly follow you? Get real Maan."

She tried to walk away from there.

Maan took hold of her hand and jerked her towards himself.

Warping his arms around her he started to dance as the DJ had just changed the song.

"Once I have allowed you to leave me. But not any more, neither am I that sixteen year old who would allow a girl to leave him. No girl will ever leave me again and you too can't Geet."

As soon as the music started Geet felt like her heart would crush. The music was a slow one meant for couples to get close to each other but the lyrics played in her mind finding it apt to the feelings coursing through her.

"You have become the chief editor of the magazine, I have heard" Maan tried to start normal conversation with her.

"It's been ten years since we had a conversation and you want to talk to me about my work?"

It had seemed like a safe starting point with the way Geet had been behaving with him though no fault of his.

He shrugged.

"You don't think that maybe there are other, more important issues to enquire about?"

Nothing floated into his head. As he led her to edge of the dance floor and turned to face her, ready to engage a little more fully in whatever was going between them.

"Communication is communication, Geet. We have to start behaving like normal people." Still keeping her in his arms he replied.

"Do we?" Geet asked crossly.

"Cant we let the past be the past?"

"It's too late. We can't go back, not after all that has happened." Now instead of looking fierce and impervious, she looked very, very sad as she said this, and he saw just a glimpse of the young, stubborn, vulnerable girl he had once lost his heart to.

"Why not?"

Suddenly he wanted to know. And it wasn't just about putting the past to rest.

She looked down at his neck where his open shirt revealed the patch of skin. He still wore his clothes the same way he used to wear ten years ago. The same style of wearing his first three shirt buttons open, a patch of skin visible tempting her to place her lips on it, kiss it like she used to.

"Why did you leave me?" he asked her with a hint of anger in his voice.

"If you don't remember the reason for it'.forget it'who am I to tell you?"

"Talking so Sameera became such a crime Geet, that you would leave me for it?" questioned Maan, getting angrier.

The memories of yesterday flashing in her mind'at the age of 15 she had such ideal beliefs. They would always be together, will always be happy, will love each other forever.

But the storm had come sooner than later.

He held her tighter in his anger bringing her to the present.

It was an agony being in his arms loving him but not letting him know. Her heartbeats would raise by just one glance of his, being in his arms, being so near where she could smell his masculine sent, could sense his body heat, his warmth, could feel his breath on her face. Being this close to him was a torture to her senses. She tried to emerge from the assault his nearness was causing and looked past his shoulder.

She saw Rajji and Pinky standing near a pillar sending draggers. Pinky looked like she had sucked a whole pound of lemons. While Rajji kept glowering at Geet and sending draggers at Maan.

She pulled herself out of his arms and turned to leave.

"You will come to me Geet. You can't go away like this. Before you leave Hoshiarpur I will bed you again Geet. You will be mine."

Turning back she pulled him in her arms, giving him a smile, kept her hands on his shoulders,

bringing him near, she brought her knee up, she kicked him between his legs at the most sensitive part.

"Ouch" While he double over

She softly whispered, "Strike two."

OK..If the ff is such , then you can just give a introduction or prologue or maybe part1...And ask your reader's opinion...Then from there decide how you want to proceed...😊
