...And everyone forgets the complete mess that the show has been for the past couple of weeks.

Instant gratification always does the trick and clearly the creators are using it to their benefit. Note how they very rarely give us spoilers for the show and yet the following a universally hated episode we suddenly get a spoiler which they know will have fans clamouring to watch the next episode when they might have given it a miss otherwise.
