It was a cold , winter night 'Rishi was roaming the streets of Chandini Chowk being lively and jolly as he always was..until he saw something strange.Indira was sitting on a bench , her face was covered by her hands , she was crying. He walked over to her and sat on the bench.
"Makaan Maalkin-ji !"He said while placing a hand on her shoulder.
Indira removed her hands from her face and looked up at him.He could see her eyes were swollen.
"Makaan Maalkin-ji ,what happened ? Why are you crying ? Did anyone say something ?"Rishi asked.
"Rishi , go away !! I don't need you here !" Indira said.
"100 % Indian ladka hoon main ,I can't leave a girl crying "Rishi said.
"Shut up ! It's not the time for your lame jokes."
Whats up with her ? She never looked this sad before.
"Look , Makaan Malkin 'ji , I know something's bothering you.And Im not going to force you to tell me.But you shouldn't be out here at midnight."
"So where else do I go ?" Indira questioned him.
"Home ! Where else ?"Rishi replied.
"I can't , Rishi , they found out about our wedding, they all think we had an affair and they threw me out!" Indira said in between tears.
"So ?"
"What do you mean 'so' ?They hate me.Mom,Bhaisaab,Mandira and even..even Ishan. They think Im a disgrace and they're scared that everyone will know."
Indira broke down in tears once more and Rishi couldn't help but moving his hands to wipe her tears.
"Indira,listen,stop crying."
Unaware of the closeness,Indira moved even closer to him and unknowingly hugged him while crying.Rishi didn't know what to do.He moved his hand to her back and placed another hand on her hair.
"Sh'." He whispered. "It's going to be alright Main hoon na. "
