My Name is Khan carried huge importance, it was a real life situation what Muslims have faced after 9/11. & this movie has made the ignorant people understand what it's like for the American Muslims.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa is definitely a film that haunts you even after it's over and it has repeat value as well, but like you said it could have been so much better as it lacked depth in parts. Priyadarshan handled the remake quite well but I felt a director like Sanjay Leela Bhansali would have made it more interesting as it dragged in parts. Even Ameesha's character was half baked, she was involved with the whole process yet we saw very little of her; she remained a mystery throughout the film as they didn't look into her character very much. She was supposed to be a depressed character but she hardly showed any signs of a clinically depressed person. There was also a lot of attention on Akshay even though it was not needed.

Coming back to the topic, Kal Ho Na Ho is one of the few films that had a great impact on my life as I could relate to it in more ways than one. It's still my favorite Bollywood movie of all times! Wake Up Sid is also a wonderful movie.

A movie that had a huge impact on was three idiots. It taught me how to live in the moment and when you look back at everything you shouldn't say 'Oh i wish I had done this back then'. Totally love the movie doesn't get old how many ever times you watch it.

Like mentioned before in the thread, definitely Swades. Bolly movies don't impact me much, another one- Kabhi haan kabhi naa, Saawariya, JWM and a few others get me emotional every time I watch them.

Basically ALL Aamir Khan films, esp Rang De Basanti.

Veer Zaara had quite an impact on me when I first watched it. But I was furious as hell that Srk-PZ were like grandma and grandpa when they finally united.

And of course DDLJ because it's the first Hindi film I saw 😃

There are also several South films that made an impact on me. Some romantic flicks like Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and Bommarillu. So sweet 😍

Yea KHNH. I suppose it's impacted me too because I always cry during that movie.

Bhool Bhulaiyya was good, I saw that first, then I saw the Tamil original Chandramukhi without knowing BB is a remake of it and it ruined the whole movie for me. The original is excellent, the remake is good too. Vidya was fantastic.

Come to think of it Lago Raho Munna Bhai the 2nd with Gandhi ji was great. I love that movie.
