instead, I think when he comes to know Sameer became aware of the sale (& that he only used part of his brain to create a partially "foolproof" plan😆).. their meeting (presumably after one year) will lead to some of Rishi's mystery to be unraveled. I think this is the main purpose of this track and these new characters .. to shed some light on Rishi (with some twists in between). From there the story can progress & we can understand more of why Rishi took the responsibility of encouraging and supporting Indira, making the sharma's more a family instead a group of people loosely connected, & more importantly ..what exactly is this vidit mystery..

(I mentioned in Rinky's thread that I think these lies and his new identity is related to an incident that might involve vidit. something happened a year ago that made him disappear from his friends&family, and visit Indira for a purpose-one which he is not disclosing just yet.)
