Times News Network
HE indeed has an enviable career graph, being one of the most popular guys on television today. Girls go ga-ga over his good looks, his smile and his boyish charm sends girls drooling. He might be Vishal, Mit, Pratham or Karan, any character that he has portrayed has a huge fan following. It is a dream come true for this talented actor, who basks in the glory of his unprecedented fame and popularity. Making big bucks and of course, having as his life partner one of the most talented women on television, Gauri Pradhan, his life stands unparalleled sending many invidious. After working in a number of serials like Kutumb, Naam Gum Jayega, Kya Haadsa Kya Haqueeqat, Kahin Kissee Roz, Kkusum and Kkaavyanjali, actor Hiten Tejwani has carved out a niche of his own on the small screen. He loves working on the small screen instead of just running around trees in Bollywood.
My favourite character
Karan is my favourite character, it has different shades attached to it, and it gives me the satisfaction of playing multiple roles. I get to do so much, while playing just one character. Also, I believe that there is no point in portraying any character if you do not derive satisfaction out of it. Karan's character has given me immense gratification.
Bollywood?
Although, I have worked in two Bollywood movies like Krishna Cottage and Joggers Park, now I would accept a movie only, if there is a substantial role, big banner and scope to perform. I like to do movies, where I would have scope to showcase my acting talent. Even if the character is not the main lead, but is performance-oriented, I would love to do the role. I want to work with talented directors like Ram Gopal Varma and also with the new directors who are ready to experiment and explore new horizons. I am not comfortable running around trees. Presently, I am not doing any movies because I haven't got the kind of offers I would prefer. But, I don't have any regrets about it, in fact I am quite happy doing TV.
I am a cool guy
Although, I have replaced actor Eijaz Ahmed in Kkusum and Kkaavyanjali, we are on good terms and we have nothing against each other. In fact, I am comfortable with everyone in the industry and you will never get to hear anything against me. I believe, as we all have to work within the same industry, it is pointless to have arguments or petty fights. I am cool about everything.
Work is worship
In the last five years, I have done almost all kinds of role, still I am not bored with my work. I think if one loves one's work, it will never be boring.
Reinvigorating self
Whenever, I feel the need to refresh myself, I work out or play a game of squash. I also like to go to parties with Gauri. I think partying is also good for unwinding.
Gauri and I
The best part of our relationship is that Gauri and I understand each other very well. We also understand each others work load and work demands. Although, both of us have our fan followings, we never get jealous. Interestingly, I have lots of female fans and Gauri has a number of male fans, but it never created any rift in our relationship. We know that it's part and parcel of the industry! We love each other and we know that we will never cross the line. As far as our onscreen chemistry is concerned, people have seen that we share a great onscreen chemistry.
Courting food
Although, I am a major foodie, I eat each and every vegetables unlike Gauri who has certain food habits. When I was small, my parents made me eat everything, which is the reason I am not fussy about food. In fact, initially Gauri used to be very surprised that I ate vegetables like Baigan and Bhindi, but now she herself has started eating them, because of me. I love fish so much that you can say I am a fishetarian.
