i avoided da mega commotion on this diabetic joke cuz i was busy with work plus my friend enlightened me on da whole drama which was going on in da forum

seriously she was just joking in a sarcastic way and i didn't find anything offensive in it. when it's ok for ASR to use sarcasm with her aukath & broken alliance, what's so wrong with what khushi said. i highly doubt if ASR was hurt as much da forum members were. anyways we're all humans and only humans have luxury to make mistakes, apologize & move on

aal izz well!!!!

Ok... WHERE ARE YOU... HUGS from me...
since last night .. I am asking the same question over and over again... i repeat again... as I lost strength to type again and again... ๐Ÿ˜†

... not too sure on the Sugar Ki beemari comment though... hasnt she said it many times before something on the similar lines.. like Kadva Karela... or Since he has sugar and drinks black coffee .. he talks all bitter... and things like that...??? Or I am having a sudden memory loss ... cuz I dont remember seeing any bashing when she said these things... ! What is the difference today? ๐Ÿค”

Anyways... I think it was just a comment and there was no INSENSITIVITY there ... !!!

Well the diabetes comment was rude. Maybe members including me overreacted becasue It was KHushi who said. She was the one who looked after Arnav after he got hypoglycemic and she always says 'inhe meetha mana hai.'

It was poor choice of dialogues by the dialogue writer. I normally would not have overreacted but I did because I was thoroughly disappointed by the episode.

Another reason is that my dad who is a diabetic got hypoglycemic a few months back and passed out. He regained consciousness after a few hours. I take diabetes very seriously after that.

I guess that was at the back of my mind. I could not understand why anybody who looked after a diabetic in a similar situation would make fun of it. I guess I got touchy and took fiction way too seriously. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

But fiction is taken seriously in this forum isn't it?๐Ÿ˜ณ

Khushi is portrayed as the sensitive and sensible girl who wouldn't offend anyone. I guess people expect too much from KHushi.

But yes I admit it was an overreaction .

I for one, will definitely criticize Kushi for taking such a dig which is cheaper than the aukat crap.

It is absolutely an immature sarcasm (wanna be sarcastic) to use on someone's else illness ! What if someone uses the same sarcasm on babuji who is on a wheelchair ? Even though, this immaturity was in her character, it was the lamest move.

Kushi definitely has a long way to go just like ASR was(now he has reached half way of Kushi's already)

Actually, the way I saw it was that the joke was more about his party than the illness!! Saying that the person who himself is not allowed sugar, why would he allow his guests the same?! I hope I'm making sense!! Lol Come on, why take it so seriously?! If I said the same to my dad, he wouldn't care!! Cause he also is not allowed to have sugar!! But then again my dad loves sweets!! Lol He has settle for sugarfree sweets!! :)

Whoa!! its like we had a mother of all wars on this forum ๐Ÿ˜†

Khushi taking a jibe at ASR was in bad taste, agree. Hasn't she done it from the beginning of this serial? Why is everyone up in arms today? Shouldn't we have lodged complaints at the onset? I find this a bit strange. If something is wrong, it should be wrong in every situation.

I have seen many films making fun of the Stammer, Baldness, Obesity etc. How many of us have come forward to complain about them?

I have also read posts with derogatory name calling for the leads. If CVs are not doing their job right what are we resorting to?

All serials have a disclaimer at the beginning to say that if their segments have hurt anyone's feeling, it is unintentional. So the viewer has to keep this in mind. Production houses are not foolish to antagonise their audience. The comment was meant to be a jest of the moment.

I do understand your feelings because I am a resident doctor who also treat patients with Diabetes.

Peace.
