Shahid Kapoor turned down Vidhu Vinod Chopra's love triangle 'Chitthiyan' after his last offering 'Mausam' run down low at the box-office.

"I haven't accepted any new offer except Maneesh Sharma's. And it would be inappropriate to talk about the films I've said no to," said the 30-year-old actor.

Shahid has a high regards for Vidhu Vinod Chopra and he highly appreciates his work but Shahid was not ready for another love story. Says a close friend of Shahid, "He is hearing at an average one script every day. For some strange reason, most of the films on offer, including Anand ('Tanu Weds Manu') Rai's 'Ranjhana', are love stories. Ideally, Shahid would want to do an action film next."

"Shahid has the highest regard for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's work and was keen to work with him. But a love story is not what he wants to do at the moment. He meant no offence to Mr. Chopra and would like to work with him in the future. At the moment the only film Shahid has said yes to is Maneesh Sharma's next for the Yash Raj Films..."

shahid make some sense...love story movies have made u...if u dont do them...u r finished...tumhare nachar dance ko dekhne koi nahi aata theatre samjhe

in my opinion this was a bad call on his part. I understand why he doesn't wanna do a love story right now, but I feel like he should get over the mausam thing, I understand they worked hard on the movie etc., but flops/hits are part of the job, hope he moves on and doesn't make decisions emotionally.

Turning down a Vidhu Vinod Chopra film?!...No way. Why oh why. I see what he means about the whole love stories thing, i completely understand. Actually, i like the idea of not doing another love story for now. He has the other love story with Priyanka releasing soon. BUT, having said that...he should definitely do a VVC film (if the script is good of course). Hope this isn't some what true...he needs to reconsider this.
