Kriya parked her car in the parking lot. There was a huge crowd waiting and the line went long. Luckily, she didn't have to wait in the line even though she had given her application at the last minute.

How? That was because the application that she had filled out was given to her by Vaibhavi. It had a stamp on it and since she was the judge, she got an early pass. Somehow, it indicated that Kriya was already chosen by one of the judges.

She sat down in the waiting area instead of standing in the line and was surprised to find no one else there. Sonia called after a while. "Where are you?" she asked. Kriya guided Sonia to where she was. Both of them then just chatted and waited till she was going to be close to her audition number.

Outside, two cars screeched to a halt making the crowd go wild and the journalists and news reporter started their talks for their individual channels. Security guards ran up to the car to control the crowd while the driver got out and opened the back door of the car.

Kriya and Sonia heard the chanting inside. Kriya's heart raced fast as she heard them chant, "Rey! Rey! Rey!" Sonia held her hand and blinked as if to pass comfort and to calm her.

To the crowd, it was mouthing words. Rey had told Vaibhavi that he needs to freshen up before the auditions start. She nodded and he left. Inside, Kriya said, "I'll be back." She rushed to the bathroom.

She started talking to herself while walking out and looking for rest room. "Kriya control yourself. His mere name has this effect on you! You still have to face him. What will happen then huh?" as she looked up, she felt someone walking around the corner. As she saw a glimpse of his face, she panicked. "Oh no. No ways. I'm not going to see him alone. Where is this rest room?!" She saw a room and barged in murmuring, "Oh whatever. This will do the work for now." She walked in and found out that it was a rest room indeed. "Great! Found it." She hid herself in one of the stalls. To her bad luck, she missed seeing the sign above her that read 'Men's Restroom.'

But when she walked into the stall, she figured out that it was Men's bathroom. She felt utterly embarrassed. Nevertheless, she looked herself in one of the stalls. She heard the door open after few seconds and that's when Rey walked in.

She didn't hear anything after that all'only footsteps that stopped as well. She held her breath and kept it low so as to not make any sort of noise.

Outside, Rey was just looking at himself in the mirror he turned his phone on and smiled, "Finally!" Roaming was on and as the cell initialized, he saw missed calls from Sharon. And not just one but around 15!!

He decided to call back but then thought about time difference and decided to call her later on. He fixed his hair in the mirror and left taking a look around.

She heard his voice and she shut her eyes. The times when he used to pull her into the girls locker room's wash room came back to her. Stopping her tears, she opened her eyes and the door and attentively walked out.

Sonia: "Yes?" It was Arjun on the other end of the call. He said, "Hey'did she agree?" Sonia replied. "She did and she is at the auditorium now. And look, I wasn't helping you. But'"

Arjun interrupted, "I know. You did it for her. Either way, I'm grateful to you."

Sonia said in a grateful tone. "Thank you. I've got to go now." As soon as she cut the call, Kriya walked in. she asked, "Hey you alright?"

Kriya nodded and sat down.

It was almost an hour after and Vaibhavi and Rey were tired of the dances they were seeing. Some had no idea of dance but they were doing it to meet 'Rey!' They weren't realizing that they were making a fool out of themselves.

157 people were dismissed and only a few made it till the waiting room. They waited there being tensed.

Sonia said, "Kriya next is you. All the best. I know you don't need it but still'" both laughed and after a quickly hug, she went out.

Rey called out, "Next."

Announcer said, "Number 159. Kriya Ghai."

As soon as they words reached Rey's ear, he stiffened with shock and sat up straight in his chair. Vaibhavi was waiting for this moment so she can see the reaction. He repeated slowly, "Kriya'"

How can that be? Am I dreaming? Maybe' there can be more than just one Kriya Ghai right? The next words from Vaibhavi confirmed it all. She pretended, "Oh Rey, you have to see her dance. God, she's just magnificent. And oh the grace she possesses! It's just a god gifted talent I tell you. I mean I've never in my life have seen such a dancer."

As she said this all, she was looking for a reaction on his face. He recovered from his shock and asked, "Huh'yea'uhm, how do you know her?"

"Me? I just met her at the park. You'seem a bit shocked?"

"Me? No no. I'm fine. Why would I be shocked?" He scoffed. His heart was happy but his mind reflected it. Two different poles arguing again on what emotion he should show on his face. Happy? Thrilled? Sad? Hurt? Neutral? Which one is it?!

Kriya walked up to the stage with lowered eyes. She dared to raise her face but not look at Rey. She first looked at Vaibhavi and let go of the easiness to give a forced smile. She self-thought: She's the same. Same grace in walking, the beauty, complexion. Still the smile, the inner glow is missing. Because of me' if only there were second chances'

Vaibhavi broke the silence. "So Kriya, why are you here." Kriya was confused. Vaibhavi elaborated, "I mean I know you're here to audition and I know you're good. If not for the rules, you already have a green wave from my side. Just for the sake, why do you think you'll get in?"

Kriya answered, "I'm just here to audition. I know I'm capable enough to get in. it's up to both of you to let me in though. For me, this isn't a competition. I look at it as if it's my dream and I'm going to give my best come what may. I believe I can do it if I set my mind and heart to it. I already have the passion to dance. I'm just hoping that the world see's it too. For that, I need both waves. Just one does nothing." She stole a glance at Rey for the first time since she was there.

All the while, he hadn't been able to move his eyes away from her. He said slowly, "You've already impressed me a lot baatcutter."

Vaibhavi did hear it. She said in her head, "Baatcutter huh?" he spoke after clearing his throat, "So Ms. Kriya. What style will it be?"

"Con'contemporary." She spoke putting aside the feelings brewing up inside her. Rey nodded as if to signal to begin. You're best at every style. But I do know that you pick the toughest, contemporary, when it comes to auditions. After all, you give the best at that.

Kriya turned around putting the mike aside and slow heart-touching music filler the atmosphere. It was soothing. On top, the complex moves she did fit them perfectly. Even though they were complex, she did them with such ease that they seemed to be the easiest steps. But someone with knowledge of dance would know the hard work that's required.

Oh god! Are you planning to kill me all over again? Her dance is just as heart-touching as I can remember. No matter how hard it is, she makes it look the easiest. Just more passion and pain now. Pain. That's one thing I wish I didn't give you. Stop hurting yourself Kriya. Hate me but don't hurt yourself. I can't see that...

He was snapped out of his thoughts as Vaibhavi praised, "Brilliant! Just fabulous performance. Right Rey?"

"Yea. Fabulous."

Kriya smiled first at Vaibhavi's compliment which turned into a forced one as Rey backed it with his. She continued, "SO we have nothing more to say to your breath-taking performance. Go ahead to the waiting room and wait for the results." She nodded and left the stage.

The audition went on for 45 minutes more. He kept thinking about Kriya often. He forced himself to focus on the audition in front of him but his thoughts refused to agree with him. As the last contestant left the stage, both the judges gave a sigh of relief. They got up and went to the waiting room where 10 people were waiting. It included Kriya. Sonia was with her as well.

She held Kriya's hand as ray walked in with Vaibhavi. He announced, "So everyone. You all made it this far. For now go and enjoy the snacks outside till we relook your performance and the final result is ready." The others nodded and both of them left. But not before Rey stole a glance at Kriya who was looking at Sonia as her grip tightened on her hand.

The rest left after that while a girl named Roshni stayed. She preferred to be called Rose since many of them didn't get how to say her Indian name correctly. It made her mad thus she would tell them that they can call her Rose instead of Roshni. All three of them had become quick friends. Partly considering that all three of them were Indian and they mixed in well.

She asked, "Aren't you both coming?"

Sonia replied, "Not now. I'm not hungry. I'll join later." They looked at Kriya for her reply. She said, "I'm not much hungry either. You go and enjoy Rose."

Rose said, "Don't have to tell me twice!" All three laughed as she left. Little that they had learnt was that Rose was always up for food. And still, she had maintained her figure and was capable of giving an awesome performance.
