Rohini is dreaming of the pros and cons of her plan to capture the house to herself and prevent Naina from making any gains. Then suddenly she thinks of Kaka, and decides that she has to tackle him first. When she starts to talk to herself, her husband feels something could have gone wrong with his wife, and he questions her, and suddenly she comes to her senses, and tries to twist the story, and tells him, that she has decided to help her mother, rather than expect her to do all the work. Sanket is under the impression, that his wife has just recovered from the depression, for which she was taking the two teaspoons of bitter medicine. But it appears, she has stopped taking it, and has suddenly recovered.
She goes to the kitchen and tries to give a helping hand to her mother, and then starts to tell her that she has to take over the house one day, but Kaka comes and gives her a shot in her arm with his sharp tongue, and Rohini is more determined to bring him under her control. She persuades her husband to speak to him, and when he tries to do so the argument reverts to him, and he tries to back answer his Uncle, which does not sit well with his mother who happens to hear them. She tells him that he has forgotten how to talk to his elders, and the son walks with his head down, and Akruti follows him, and as he enters his room she sees Rohini with a smirk on her face, the Akruti gets out of the room, without saying anything. She meets Naina and they discuss what Rohini's plan could be and Naina tells Akruti to keep a watch over Rohini.
The episode continues with the shadow boxing and ends, Rohini making her shopping list, and Kaki asks Vibha to include salted biscuits for her husband, and Rohini adds her own husband's need for a brown bread.
The next day dawns with Rohini giving new rules for the residents to impress upon them that those who do not earn, have no right to demand things from her, and have to be satisfied with the things she gives them.
This serial has been named Sapno se bhare Naina. It looks that the serial though it started with the dreams in the eyes of Naina Bhardwaj, has reached a stage, where it is not giving us her dreams but the dreams in the "Eyes" of the Demon Queen, Rohini. Perhaps we will get a dose of the dreams in the eyes of the other characters too, so that the CVs can add new tracks with umpteen episodes. I also heard that they might wind this serial in 2012 !

Racing down the hill
The serial is going downhill with Rohini at the wheel, in her madness, she is carrying with her the whole Patwardhan clan less one man, Daksh with his wife.
The demon queen has decided to take over the financial portfolio, since it is her husband who is the main financier, and she with her maternity leave salary is fending the expenses of her son. Wonder what she is paying Akruti, as it is possible it is on the house. Her vicious behavior at the dining table exasperates all, including her beloved mother in law, who is at a loss as to whom she will be trying to please. In this mess, Rohini gives a royal menu to her parents and husband and a beggar's meal to her uncle and her family, and gives out her Rules and Regulations for the house, full of dependents, on her munificence. Akruti tries to resist, and when she offers to cook something for her parents, Rohini opposes her from using her ration. Akruti buys provisions with her own money and gives a good breakfast for her father and mother the next day. There is a riot, with the demon queen getting needled by the indepenence shown by Akruti who complains to Naina but does not wait to listen to her.
When Rohini gives a thousand rupee note to Shyamal who is going out to the bazaar to get her own ration, Rohini asks her to buy a bottle of Gripe Water of the best brand, and bring the change back to her. Her aunt obliges, but it ends in a farce with the demon queen blaming her for pocketing the change, and bringing a local brand. Akruti rises to the defense of her mother, and shouts at Rohini, who reminds her that she has forgotten how to speak to her elders, and gets back from Akruti in the brand of her father's wit, a retort reminding her that she has to learn from her own lesson, as she does not know how to speak to her Aunt who is older than her not only in age but also in relationship.
As the row rises in tempo and volume, Daksh and Naina overhear and recognize that Akruti is shouting at Rohini and they come down and watch the battle. Kaka also joins the battle and sends his barbs across to Rohini, and when her husband asks him to restrain himself, he tells him, that his wife needs more restraint than himself, and this he evades, as he is a gutless man. Vibha too asks them to temper their arguments, and when no one can keep the demon queen in her place, the ultimate cross over takes place, with the Kaka crossing over the line of control and joins the family of his nephew and his wife, and with him his wife and daughter to dare to cross the line of control imposed by the Queen of the Kingdom, and the embattled Queen is stunned beyond recognition, and keeps her palm on her mouth, to stop herself from uttering a word which may be beyond her dignity as the Queen of her house.

The Gripe Water battle continues and lands Rohini in trouble. The war of words between her and her uncle gets hot and he pits his wit straight at her, when she accuses his wife of thievery. It is so obvious, when she frames her aunt of robbing her money, and finds it in her purse. It is true no one believes that Shyamal could have taken this money, and that some one has planted it in her purse, but the dumb lot can not come to agree that it was Rohini's inside job. It is inflaming Kaka Sridhar to a fiery pitch, where his words shoot like arrows, and for once we thought Akruti also was a firebrand like her father, but slowly she remains quiet allowing her father to do all the talking.
Most of the drama takes place in the living room, in the tiny area of Vibha Patwardhan, and her husband is conspicuous by his absence. Sanket as usual comes out with his monosyllables, and Vibha tires to raise her voice to quell Rohini, but it subsides in no time, into a whimper. The bellowing Sridhar kaka is the hero of the moment, as he tames the wild Rohini. Akruti announces that they will no longer stay in this house, and Kaka too agrees with her, that it is better to leave than remain under the humuliating Rohini, where her people do not dare to oppose her. He shouts at Vibha saying that she has no right in this house, where she can not stop her daughter in law, in hurtling insults at them. When they are determined to leave the house, we hear the voice of Naina on the side lines, who was watching the whole show with her husband, who restrained her twice from entering into this battle. She tells Kaka, that if he wants to leave the house, he is free, but why should be give up his right on half of this house which comes to him from his father. She tells him, that in case he has no objection, he could come over to her side of the house, and remain with them in dignity. She tells him, that he knows her well, and he will not have to face a bikering woman like Rohini. She also flings a taunt to Rohini and says, that they need not worry about the finances, as her husband is earning more than Rohini's husband, and Rohini grinds her teeth.
Kaka Sridhar accepts Naina's invitation, and goes and brings his suitcase and walks over to her side, and when his wife asks him to change his mind in deference to her sister in law, he makes fun of Vibha and tells her that if she wants to stay there and wipe her tears, she is welcome. But not to complain at the humiliation that her daughter in law will heap on her and her daughter. Naina invites them too, and tells Akruti, that she has no objection if she wants to work for Atharva. In the meantime, Vedant comes with his suitcase from his hostel, and asks in wonderment, what is going on in the house. His father tells him, and he understands. He asks who was responsible, and the father tells him, that he should be smart by looking at their faces, and Vedant guesses it was Rohini with whom he had a few skirmishes himself. He too walks over to Naina's side. Vibha sees her empire crumbling in front of her eyes, and the foolish woman, does not know who her friends are, and who is the real enemy. No one can help anyone, who does not want to use their mind. Kaka has told her this, but she is still buried in her own misery. As the episode nears its end, Akruti and her mother too cross over to the great consternation of Vibha. In all this Rohini is still not aware, that the ground under her feet is slipping.
In the pre cap, Daksh tells Naina, that in her attempt to help Kaka, she has made it difficult for herself in the eyes of his mother and father, whom she wanted to be reconciled with. He says, that now on, she is the bad one in front of their eyes. What will Naina do to overcome this. It is Rohini who will complete the job, by digging her own grave. Have patience for the funeral scene.

The final cross over of Kaka Sridhar's family takes place first with Akruti moving to Naina's side, to the regret of her aunt, and then with tears in her eyes, Shyamal goes to be with her husband, as a 'good Indian Wife'.
With self congratulations, the deserting Patwardhans make way to the new residence, which has been prepared for them by Naina. She gives them a complete room, which was her own, as a Paying Guest, and Naina assures Kaka, that he has returned to his own house. Naina gives an additional room for Akruti and Vedant. Shyamal is still not ready to forgive Naina, and one has to wonder the way these rural women think, once they have come to the city. Nothing seems to change, as they are still in the rural mode in the way their logic works. Akruti reminds her mother that her father did not do anything wrong, but he only defended the good name of her mother, for which she should be grateful.
Daksh comes and offers his uncle any help he may need, and when he asks for a cup of tea, Naina enters with a tray with cups of tea for them. Kaka tells Naina that indeed she is a better Bahu than Rohini and he knew it always, but now he can say it openly. Naina takes Akruti aside to help her on the terrace, with the dried clothes, and her mother gives a wink nod telling her that it is alright with her. On the terrace the young girls exchange ideas, and Naina tells Akruti that it was Rohini's game plan to incriminate her aunt, and they plan to undermine the plans of the dirty minded Rohini.
In the bedroom, the forlorn Vibha is being pacified by her husband, who does not dare to confront her with sane logic, as she is still steeped in her ignorant argument and she battles to defend Rohini, even when her husband points out her wrong approach. All he can do is to stare hopelessly at his wife, and when Rohini comes to the room to influence her mother, and keep her from vacillating, the father admonisheds her, but the wife comes to the aid of the embattled daughter in law, and passes the buck to Naina, and the Professor only stares with glaring eyes, impotent of his manly faculties, defenseless with the two women ganging up. Vibha gives a noble explanation, to the crude Rohini, which goes over her head, as she has other plans, and is told, that a home is not made of bricks but of human relationships. Rohini turns round and tells her that now that they do not have the Kaka to contend with, the house now belongs to them, and the parents are a bit surprised at the direction of the thinking of this woman. Professor is still clueless. When Vibha tells Rohini that now they will make a new start and shall begin by cleaning their part of the house, Rohini agrees.
The next day, when the cleaning starts, Rohini tells her mother that she will not be able to help her as she has to go to her friend's wedding, and seeing no jewellry on her body, the mother asks about it, and she gives her an evasive answer, that it is in the locker.
Akruti and Naina are watching them, and have come to the conclusion, that Rohini has hidden the jewellery, and may be now she will make the mother the thief, by finding it behind her cupboard ! Will she ask her father and mother too to leave the house, and go where ? Sanket has sensed Rohini's foul play, when she breathed a sigh of relief when Kaka and his family had moved to Naina's side. Will be save his parents, and expose his wife ?

Naina and Akruti come to the kitchen, where Shyamal and Vibha are at work, with sour and elongated faces, not speaking to each other. Naina tells Akruti that she has ordered food for breakfast from out, and Shyamal leaves the kitchen without saying a word. Even though she is dependent on Naina for her living, she has been showing scant respect to her, out of deference to Vibha with whom she wants to appear to be in good books, but the latter has her mind fixated in her own interpretation of events.
Rohini comes to the kitchen with her child and tells the mother that she has to attend the wedding of the sister of a friend, and she will not help her in cleaning the house. She will return in the evening, and her mother shakes her head in approval, but seeing that Rohini has no jewelery on her she asks where it is and Rohini lies to her saying it is in the locker. The mother is hell bent to prove herself, that she dislikes Naina, and to retaliate to her, she offers Rohini her own jewelry to wear for the wedding and gives it to her.
The bell rings, and in comes Rohini's friend, and Naina goes to meet her, and picks a conversation with her, as she suspects that she has not brought any jewelry for Rohini as she had told her mother. So she pretends to be friendly and gets out from the friend, that Rohini has hidden her jewelery behind the cupboard and is wearing her mother's jewelry. This gives an idea to Naina that she should dig deeper into this story.
In the living room, Naina sees some cockroaches and tells Kaka that it is better to do pest control to get rid of these pests, and Kaka says that the whole house will be in need of pest control, as it has not been done for many years. Naina offers to use her husband's income to cover the cost of both sides, and then Baba tells his wife, that it is a good idea, and she says, that she will pay for her side from her money. Her husband shakes his head just like his wife, in timid acceptance of the will of his wife.
The pest control people come, and in the section of Vibha the work is in full swing, and in the bedroom, the father asks the men to shift the cupboard. The men pull the cupboard in front and find a bag and tell the father who calls his wife and when they check, she finds the jewlry of Rohini and she is hurt that she told lies to her. Then the gripe water bottle falls from the cupboard, and again she remembers how Rohini had put the blame on her sister in law, and is very annoyed with her daughter in law.
In the evening, Rohini comes home and her husband and the rest look at her with hurt, and when they confront her with the facts, she comes out with her own explanations, and they bury the hatchet to smite Naina. Rohini comes to know from her husband that Naina had called the pest control, and she suspects that she was the one who had schemed to find out the whereabouts of her jewelry, and she goes to Naina and starts shouting at her, and Naina agrees with her and warns her that if she continues to behave like this she will have to deal with her, and as the quarrel continues and Naina bashes out at Rohini, the mother from the side lines, shouts at Naina, and she turns her head swinging her wavy hair, to the lady, without any fear and just looks at her and walks away.

The men pull the cupboard in front and find a bag and tell the father who calls his wife and when they check, she finds the jewlry of Rohini and she is hurt that she told lies to her. Then the gripe water bottle falls from the cupboard, and again she remembers how Rohini had put the blame on her sister in law, and is very annoyed with her daughter in law.
In the evening, Rohini comes home and her husband and the rest look at her with hurt, and when they confront her with the facts, she comes out with her own explanations, and they bury the hatchet to smite Naina. Rohini comes to know from her husband that Naina had called the pest control, and she suspects that she was the one who had schemed to find out the whereabouts of her jewelry, and she goes to Naina and starts shouting at her, and Naina agrees with her and warns her that if she continues to behave like this she will have to deal with her, and as the quarrel continues and Naina bashes out at Rohini, the mother from the side lines, shouts at Naina, and she turns her head swinging her wavy hair, to the lady, without any fear and just looks at her and walks away.
