Honestly, I don't get the logic of the argument in the article. It is attempting to draw a parallel between two separate and disparate issues.
The reason censorship of Facebook is being considered is due to the numerous numbers of inflammatory messages. It is akin to the reason why China censors the internet (subduing anti-government groups) or Pakistan censors the internet (subduing anti-Islamic content). It has less to do with censorship of harmful material (illicit drug sales, child po*nography) and everything to do with trampling of free speech (shutting out 'unwanted' voices).
The other thing that defeats logic is how do you 'censor' a person. Basically censorship by definition means editing out content that is offensive or unsuitable for audiences. Sunny Leone is a person. Personhood in itself is neither offensive nor unsuitable for audiences. You simply cannot 'censor' people. How do you go about determining what person ought to be 'censored' in what context. Suppose if Sunny Leone was hit by a drunk Salman in an accident, do we 'delete' Sunny from the news? Suppose Sunny Leone made a million dollar donation to Anna Hazare's campaign, do we delete the donor from the news.
Moreover how do we determine what internet search will lead to objectionable content - Just think of the news and newspapers, you see things like rape, murder, war, genocide etc. If you google any of these words or the people in these news stories, you will be led to graphic sex and violence unsuitable for people. Then there is the fiend Photoshop. There are dozens of Photoshopped po*nographic images out there of popular actors and actresses. There are leaked sex tapes, leaked home videos or illegally obtained photes.
There is no such thing as safe sites. Even with filters, you could run into objectionable content. Lets just stick too good old fashioned censorship shall we please, the way censorship was meant to be. No tits or vags on television channels except for the ill 'timed' wardrobe malfunctions during live shows. No public lewdness or offensive content, do as you will on your private internets.
