OUATIM 2 is yet to get the nod from KAREENA KAPOOR

Despite The Dirty Picture being touted as one of the fastest super-hits Bollywood has ever seen, director Milan Luthria cannot afford to bask in its glory for too long. The director, who now wants to move on to his next project, the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, is yet to get the nod from his lead actress Kareena Kapoor.

"The film still has no leading lady and that is one big factor which is preventing the makers from starting work on it," says an industry source. It's not as if Bebo is not keen to do the film, which in fact would give her another opportunity to add one more biggie to her name. Moreover, she also wants to revive her association with Akshay Kumar, who's playing the main lead in the film. "Akshay is like family — I know him since my school days, when he used to shoot with Karisma," she says. "Ekta has already spoken to my secretary about the script and now I need to go through it. Milan is a great director and I have been told that there is a completely different role for me this time. I hope things will work out," she adds.
