Chikni Chameli took the virtual world by storm when the makers revealed the first look of Katrina Kaif's upcoming item number. The lady was seen wearing a red sari with checkered choli in the poster and if reports are to be believed, then Katrina will be seen replicating Helen's moves from the song 'Mungda'.
In 1978, Bollywood's original item girl, Helen, was seen swaying to the tunes of this song in a yellow sari. Later, in 1990, Madhuri Dixit, too, performed lavani in a similar style in 'Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar'.
Reportedly, Katrina has three costume changes, two out of which have already been revealed. The song, composed by Ajay-Atul, has stark resemblance with a Marathi song 'Kombdi padali', which incidentally was composed by the same duo.
Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya , Chikni Chameli is a full on item song in Dharma Productions' upcoming film Agneepath.
