Important Information

Dear Fellow Maneetians,

The following piece of information was passed on to me by a fellow Maneetian (I have never met her, but have befriended her on Facebook), who has been visiting Star One offices this week to convince them to continue GHSP on Star Desh:

There is apparently a rift between the GHSP PH and Star One, so much so that Star One thinks that all viewer requests for the continuation of GHSP are paid publicity by the PH. However, Star One is aware of the selling power of Gurti as a lead pair.

Now, I don't know if she was telling the truth, but I do know that the PH has alienated a lot of people from the first writers of the show to the actors and the fans because of their unprofessional behavior. So, it is not implausible that Star One belongs to this list, as well. I don't want to speculate on what this supposed rift between the PH and Star One could amount to, however I do wish to ask any members of the forum that have visited the Star One offices if they felt that Star One was annoyed with the PH.

I also think that when we make calls or visitations to Star One offices, or even when we write on the feedback page of indya.com, star one, or the official GHSP page on Facebook, we should emphasize that we want Gurti on Star Desh. We should stress that Gurti are a brand name with a huge fan following, and that they will be great brand ambassadors for Star Desh. We should not talk about the PH at all.

I hope that this post will not cause unnecessary stress to anyone as I am not putting this up to use this situation for my fifteen minutes of fame. My reason for putting up the post is so that people can use this information to word their requests to Star One in the right way. I hope and pray that GHSP will continue on Star Desh, and that we will not have to bid Maneet adieu after December 16.

Maneetians, let us please continue to fight for the Maneet cause in the weekend, and hope that we will not have to say goodbye to Maneet after next week. Let's us fight and hope for the best!

paid publicity by those 4 Lions...???
How can anyone think that 4 Lions can do that...such a nonsense PH can do nothing.
But we will have to show them the Power of True MAANEETIANS AND GURTIANS.

Though it makes me wonder that if 4 Lions Films was indeed that interested in the show, then why didn't it do something to salvage the show when there was time? I mean why didn't the PH do anything to save the show in June/July when the rumors of GHSP's impending demise first surfaced? Anyways, I've been reading the posts made on the forum by visitors to the Star One office, and the vibe I'm getting from these posts is that Star One and 4 Lions Films are not the best of friends. But that should not be our concern now. What is most important is that we bombard Star One with requests for the continuation of GHSP on Star Desh. Let's hope that our efforts will bear some fruits.

SO people are the biggest fools in the world if they think that 4 Donkeys are behind all this...i mean cant they see how they've ruined GHSP...from the HUGE KHURANA MANSION the PH has shifted the sets to a kabootar khana...Look at the scratched floor...look at the paintings...ho ho...paintings...they've sprinkled colour on thermocol boards...and the room which maaneet are using for their so called HM looks like the room which belonged to Maan after ML...it has been white washed only...

But isn't this same PH doing wonders for SO's sister channel, giving them trps to die for?

Considering that, i wonder if Star One can afford to be at war with the PH.

If indeed they are at war, how did the PH get away with so much crap that was thrown at us via the CP and the worst of cvs? Channels do have a big say in what is being shown on TV.

Why didn't the channel put a stop to the nonsense? Even now, we are being inundated with the same tripe and at every point the fans are getting disappointed. The HM is anything but romantic. And according to the latest promo. they are ending the show one day earlier than promised and that to conjoined with the other show.😕

I doubt if this is the PH's doing. Only the channel has the power to decide such things.

Let's accept that the channel is doing this out of business sense. They need to attract a wider audience that's made up of people other than the youth who may be mostly students and who may not have the spending power they need. Which is why a revamp is happening.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade. I love Maaneet as much as the next person. But business comes first with this industry as much as in any other.
