Ms. Ashwini Kalsekar



Ashwini is a promising Kathak artiste, born in a family dedicated to dance, art & culture. Ashwini has won various accolades for her performances and has been appreciated by the likes of Kathak maestro Pandit Birju Maharaj & Pandita Rohiniji Bhate. Ashwini was trained by Smt.Rekha Nadgauda in the early years and now for last 8 years she is taking training under the able guidance of Smt.Shama Bhate. She has completed her Master's degree in Kathak. She was awarded scholarships by Government of India. Ashwini has choreographed classical, folk and fusion sequences for performances across Europe and India. Ashwini has performed as a member of Shama Bhate's troupe all over India. She has performed many solos in India and abroad. Ashwini presently is teaching Kathak in London, UK.
