I actually check youtube every week to see if any new videos have been uploaded by Namita ji...

Namita ji and Raghav ji (raghav64) are probably the only 2 people I "know" who've got this treasure of SRGM(P) videos of the earlier Sonu Nigam days.

Thanks to them, I've got ~80 mp3s and ~30 videos of that golden era of SRGMP.

BTW, how did you save it as a .wmv? I could only save those videos as a non-proprietary .flv file...

Download the Riva FLV encoder which comes with a free flv player too

The Encoder helps you convert .flv file to avi, mpg etc. also the players
plays the flv file. avi and mpg files can be converted to wmv with the free Windows Media Encoder (https://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encode r/default.mspx)

There is more details on the above sin how to achieve this. Hope this helps..Let me know if you do try it.

Oh, I still remember that episode. RajKumariji, Anil Biswasji and other prominent people from music industry were present that day and it was a pleasure seeing their discussions. SRGM in Sonu's days used to be full of musical discussions and we don't see that anymore. Now, the show is about dance, make-up, pyar, etc. etc.

Very true but I guess thats what "the public" wants plus of course it brings in more revenue for Zee.

I still remember the episode where Anil Biswas had come (maybe for the first time), commented on the absence of Talat Mehmood's picture in the background (those of the other legends of the golden era were already there) and then said a "sher" about it.

Also there was one where Sonu Nigam tells Anil da (to paraphrase) - "aapka sthaan bharatiya sangeet mein yahan hai (points towards the head) and hum yahan hain (points to the feet)" and then touches Anil da's feet...

I usually visit this forum regularly but do not post much.....but today I could't stop myself !.......the sonu era of saregama was the BEST one......In those days only singing in "sur" mattered.....the way you looked, performed was secondary.
The way sonu used to host was also commendable.....he was around 22-23 that time and a newcomer in the industry, but the way he used to speak to the stalwarts in music indutry was just too good 👏 👏 👏
His command on hindi is just superb!!!
