What is Uday doing??

Someone please tell me.
I've had an ear infection since this show started 😭
I only watch it and I love it! But I can't uderstand much

Are Uday and moniya set to be married since childhood?

If so, then why was he marrying the other sister?

And is he even a good guy? He seems a bit mean?
Does he have a reason behind this?

Uday and Manyata marriage has been fixed since their childhood. Manyata has been missing since past 16 years after she was kidnapped by Murari. The youngest daughter Jai Nandini's marriage gets fixed with a guy named Jagat who doesn't belong to royal family. Brijraj thinks it's long time they waited for Manyata and they should marry off Uday-JN since Uday is perfect match for his daughter. Uday is Prince of Jaigarh and if he marries Manyata he will be ruling Jaigarh as well as Devgarh. Uday's father tells him to accept the proposal because if Manyata doesn't return back and JN gets married somewhere else they will lost out Devgarh throne. Uday character has some grey shades but he has not been said he would be playing negative role in any article so far. For him this marriage is an alliance between the two families and he would be ruling two rajya.
