I believe there should be everything in a story.I don't understand the need to have a love story even when the script does not demand it. I think that makes in boring. Ra.One is a fine example. The love story seemed just so unwanted and unnecessary!Love stories with just love and romance would get boring after awhile, but stories that show other relationships without romance would also get boring. And why is that? I know few books/teleseries/movies that did not have love at all, although they are very very few ,that did quite well. They are reasons why I don't understand the need to have a love story even when it is completely unnecessary. But no, most movies/books/soaps will invariably have it. Infact, it is the most overused emotion and one can't name even one theme that's more overused than love. If something is a love story, they should also show other relationships of the characters, like with their parents, siblings, cousins, friends, etc...those love stories where the main characters are selfish, think only of themselves, and disregard everyone else in their life annoy me more than ever and I feel like slapping them, same here but those stories where the family of a main character gives them troubles about their love life, without any good reason, also annoys me.That annoys me more😆 I think there should be a balance in a story. Romance and familial relationship should be given equal importance, and I think most movies do do that...you don't see only romance in movies or shows these days. There are many other plots and tracks with other characters, and there's also a lot of action, sometimes violence, and definitely a lot of conflict. Some have really beautiful messages about sacrifice and doing one's duty towards family, so I think it's all a matter of what one watches. There are all sorts of genre out there, and though most include romance, The need for it is something I still can't understand. It may not be the only theme, but the most overused theme, never the less! it's not the only theme in them.
