How credible is bollywood really?

Actors that have had some kind of bollywood background (from the top of my head, correct me if I'm wrong) in list A..and those who didn't/don't (from previous years and currently):

List A:

- Esha Deol

- Abhay Deol

- Fardeen Khan

- Zayed Khan

- Akshay Khanna

- Tushar Kapoor

- Anil Kapoor

- Akshay Khanna

- Farhan Akthar

- Abhay Deol

- Emraan Hashmi

I'm not going to put Katrina in the second list, because I truly believe she's been given a lot of chances because of her solid connections with *cough* Salman *cough* Khan *cough*

If you look at the lists and compare them...you can't help but notice how:

a. Has way more people (I'm obviously missing people from both lists..this was from whatever I can recall/know/have heard)

b. Some of the people in the first list have been given WAY more chances than some of the people in the second list..and we've tried tolerating them way more because of that. Does that not mean something? I certainly think it does

c. A lot of the people in the second list haven't been given multiple chances to prove their worth despite being at top at one point in their careers. It's like some of them have to put that extra effort in as opposed to people in the first list.

- The differences are obvious, of course theres successful people in the second list, but stilll..if you understand what I mean then you'll get my point. 😆

So, is bollywood really ALL that credible? I mean seems to me that you basically need some sort of connection..with some sort of family, bollywood connection and you've got a career, and doesn't matter if you blatantly SUCK, you WILL be given multiple chances..and you will probably be accepted sooner or later if that''s the case.

Just kind of pisses me off though. 😆 Feel bad for people who actually WORK HARD to come onscreen even for a few minutes in such a big movie industry. It's like bollywood is all about having connections. Compare that with hollywood, that is CERTAINLY not true at all.

In my opinion, being a model and entering bollywood is not the same as having a family member(s) from bollywood. Lara Dutta, Diya Mirza, Sushmita Sen all have had some kind of title, but I don't think them being former models etc really has helped them survive at all. Aish and Priyanka have done better, but they only got noticed due to their titles..it didn't help them otherwise. Look at Kareena Kapoor, lets be honest..she sucked the first 7 years of her career. She got fame and praises post 2007, you really think it had nothing to do with her being from the "prestigious" Kapoor family? I most certainly think it did. Or else, she really was annoying to watch. Abhishek Bachan? Why does he even exist anywhere in the media?

And Deepika's father being a sportsperson has nothing to do with this.

So, I don't think being a model and entering bollywood is the same as being a star kid.
