Your words of encouragement have enabled us to start this third thread. And how can we forget to thank Joseph, who handed over this amazing story to us with full confidence that we would be able to carry it forward.

As all our mature readers would have understood by now, this story is not the conventional 'Boy meets Girl, they fall in love and overcoming certain hurdles ,get married and live happily ever after' kind of story. Each male lead has a shade of gray in their character. Neither is willing to sacrifice love. The story is based on the theme...

*SAMRAT SHERGILL

In spite of having lived a life void of any love, SAMRAT SHERGILL is entirely a self made, successful businessman. But he did not believe in the word 'LOVE' till GUNJAN entered in his life.

His heart and mind in constant conflict, nowadays SAMRAT is letting his heart win. But he still has not forgotten his one aim in life, to avenge his mother's death... teach a lesson to his father... and due to his ambitions... going to marry RiCHA

Story so far...

[A] [01 to 07]

Mornings at the NANDA's residence are normally fun filled ones. Prof.NANDA trying to be strict with his son, RAHUL, who some how manages to get away with everything. He is waiting for that one person to return and is very happy today. GUNJAN... his love, his life is returning today after completing her graduation. RAHUL is on cloud nine today. He has to reach the station to receive GUNJAN. But before that, he has to finish his work... his boss, SAMRAT SHERGILL is a very arrogant person. RAHUL calls him 'KHADOOS'.

SAMRAT SHERGILL, has an aim in life. To own 'RAINBOW COMMUNICATIONS' and for that he is willing to go to any lengths. Even marrying RICHA, his friend from college and the owner of 'RAINBOW COMMUNICATIONS'. He hates his dad and holds him responsible for his mother's death. Life has been very cruel with him and now, he is giving back what he received... hatred.

SAMRAT does not believe in love. He does not love RICHA. This marriage is but a business deal for him. RICHA however is oblivious to this fact. The immature girl thinks SAMRAT reciprocates her feelings for him. She is upbeat about this marriage.

His behavior with people working for him is not at all nice. He speaks arrogantly without seeing who he is talking to. For that matter, SAMRAT is the rudest with his Dad. He has a partnership deal with his Dad, PRATAP SHERGILL. And is very proud of the fact that the success of this business is due to his hard work. He is a thorough businessman, leaving his father with no choice but to accept whatever SAMRAT wants.

SAMRAT's day at office is a typical one. Yelling at most of his staff, making his father understand in no uncertain terms about his ambitions and his most prestigious business deal... RICHA.

RAHUL has to finish work and go to receive GUNJAN... but she has taken over his mind completely, not letting him work. JOY is one of his best friends. RAHUL shares with him everything... just about everything. And JOY is the one who advises him correctly.

But, taking a half day is not going to be easy for RAHUL. There is an important meeting with KHADOOS. But, RAHUL has made up his mind, come what may... he is going to receive his PiNKi aka GUNJAN.

GUNJAN, RAHUL's best friend has arrived from Dehradoon. A drop dead gorgeous looking girl... her simplicity... her innocence and that breath taking smile. RAHUL and GUNJAN are meeting after a long time.

SAMRAT hates Parties, but that is what RICHA loves. she loves flaunting SAMRAT too. But no way is SAMRAT going to humour her. But she knows how to get her way.

GUNJAN is now thinking about taking up a Job. But RAHUL is not at all happy with this idea and unknowingly hurts her. He refuses to give her permission to work and even his mother telling him to think about it has no effects on him.

RAHUL realises there is a party at office and wishes to take GUNJAN with him. But, that would require some new clothes, so RAHUL decides to take GUNJAN shopping.

On the other side, RICHA reaches office and surprises SAMRAT. She informs him of a special announcement to be made at the event in the evening and wants him to go shopping with her. This irritates SAMRAT as she does not tell him exactly what is to be announced, and only to get rid of her agrees to go shopping with her.

Angrily he enters his dad's cabin demanding to know what announcement is to be made. He is somewhat surprised to hear that the announcement is about his engagement with RICHA. He storms back to his cabin and here starts his inner conflict. He tries to justify his actions.

RAHUL has to leave in another half hour, when JOY informs him that he has to submit that report. But, RAHUL leaves anyway and reaches the mall with GUNJAN . The same mall, where SAMRAT and RICHA have come for shopping.

[B] [08 to 18]

At the MALL, SAMRAT and RAHUL end up selecting the same Diamond Ring for their 'Partners'. SAMRAT purchases the Ring. But, somehow it is lost.

GUNJAN buys the same Green 'Anarkali suit' which SAMRAT has liked and had asked RICHA to purchase it. But, RICHA refuses saying it is simple and not at all as per her tastes.

Though hesitantly, GUNJAN does accompany RAHUL to the party wearing that same 'Anarkali Suit'. She is standing all alone as RAHUL has to attend a press conference, when DAI Maa (SAMRAT's Nanny) strikes a conversation with her, mistaking her to be SAMRAT's fiancee. She clears the misunderstanding and leaves the venue and goes to the garden, texting RAHUL to meet her there. At the same time SAMRAT receives a message from RICHA asking him to meet her at the garden.

It is here that SAMRAT & GUNJAN meet for the first time. SAMRAT, mistaking her to be RICHA rants and rants to her, and as is her nature, GUNJAN simply listens. She is not facing him, but, when she turns around, SAMRAT is rendered speechless. She apologizes and leaves from there, leaving a mesmerised SAMRAT behind.

When she reaches the party venue, she sees RAHUL and both decide to leave. On the other side, SAMRAT introduces RICHA to DAI Maa. RICHA is not polite with DAI Maa upsetting SAMRAT. He considers DAI Maa as his mother.

While leaving the venue, RAHUL & GUNJAN meet some senior citizens who mistake GUNJAN to be RAHUL's wife.This makes RAHUL happy.

The next morning over breakfast, the topic of GUNJAN taking up a job arises and RAHUL gives her permission. She has to go for an interview... at SHERGILL INDUSTRIES, but this is unknown to RAHUL.

As an indication of things to come, the next morning, SAMRAT finds the ring on his table. SAMRAT feels unnaturally nice after seeing the ring.

RAHUL & JOY have a Guys talk with RAHUL telling him about his pure feelings about GUNJAN. RAHUL has a secret.

In the mean time, RAHUL & SAMRAT have an employee- employer tiff. SAMRAT insults RAHUL by bringing his personal life in their talk... and tells him to leave but, a self respecting RAHUL decides to resign.

This is where the problem was...RAHUL was an important factor in the new Project, so he had to be retained. So, SAMRAT asked Mr. SHARMA to somehow retain him.

GUNJAN reaches the interview venue, scared and nervous. She loses her way and unknowingly reaches SAMRAT's cabin. SAMRAT is spell bound by her beauty, but the security rudely intervenes and ushers her away before he can say anything... This upsets

SAMRAT and he ticks the security off. After a lot of thought, SAMRAT decides that he will not appoint her because her mere presence disturbs him.

Through her fear, GUNJAN prepares herself for the interview. The interview goes off well .But the twist in the tale comes in the form of MONISH... SAMRAT's college mate and a 'Casanova'. His eyes fall on GUNJAN and he remembers that day 2 years ago, when, he had helped a scared GUNJAN reach her Guest House in DELHI. He tells SAMRAT that if he does not appoint GUNJAN as his PA, it will be great as that is just what he wants. MONISH wants to get closer to GUNJAN... he is in love with her. For some strange reason, SAMRAT loses his cool and asking MONISH to stay away from GUNJAN, tells Mr.SHARMA to appoint GUNJAN as his PA.

With great difficulty, Mr.AGARWAL has managed to get RAHUL to reconsider his thoughts about resigning.

SaJan's second meeting happens here, in SAMRAT's cabin. SAMRAT realises his mistake when he hears innocent GUNJAN speak. Surprsingly, SAMRAT is smiling and asking her all sorts of personal questions to stop her from leaving. He even agrees to abide her working hours.

A happy SAMRAT, lost in GUNJAN's thoughts reaches home. He changes his Gym timings so he can reach office in time. At her house, GUNJAN excitedly tells RAHUL Aabout her appointment as SAMRAT's PA, to be met with RAHUL's loud protest. He asks her to refuse taking up the job... a dejected GUNJAN agrees.

RAHUL remembers the GUNJAN he had hated. She had intruded his family. But that one day, her tears and her heart touching words made him realise her pain. And from then, he has always been with her. Through everything. He is shocked to know that GUNJAN has agreed to refuse taking up the job. He goes to her and manages to make her smile. like always.

MONISH is now adamant to get GUNJAN in his life. So he hires a detective to find out more about her. On the other hand, SAMRAT is rudely brought out of his thoughts about GUNJAN by his Dad's call, who informs him of his marriage with RICHA in a months time.

RAHUL finally gives GUNJAN permission to work for SAMRAT as he feels that whatever SAMRAT may be, he will never take advantage of his staff. He drops GUNJAN off at office.

SAMRAT is very egar to see GUNJAN... hear her voice. Her glimpse makes him happy. He asks her to make reports for the RAHEJA's Project. GUNJAN is determined n ot to let her boss down.

At RICHA's Party, MONISH finds out that SAMRAT and RICHA are to get married. He is surprised as he felt that SAMRAT was involved with GUNJAN. A heated argument at the club betwenn SAMRAT and MONISH, opens up old wounds for both. each making the other feel lousy. SAMRAT angrily leaves the Party as does MONISH.

GUNJAN somehow manages to convince RAHUL to make that trip to SINGAPORE for his ambitious Project. She is happy when RAHUL relents.

The next day, SAMRAT vents all his anger and frustrations on GUNJAN. He wants to stay away from her, but is unable to . GUNJAN is hurt. At home RAHUL realises something is wrong and as always cheers her up.

Here, SAMRAT makes the unpleasant decision of taking RICHA on a 'Dinner Date'. But, something happens on the Date, that disturbs SAMRAT.

Story so far...

[C][19 to 23]

A silly game played by RICHA spoiled SAMRAT's already bad mood even more. When, RICHA asked him to shut his eyes so he would visualize his life partner, SAMRAT had no clue he would see someone other than RICHA b'coz, he did not believe any such thing could happen. But surprisingly, he sees GUNJAN and this upsets him. He leaves the restaurant and reaches home. This is when DAI Maa explains to him the difference between heart and mind. This leaves SAMRAT thinking and he makes a call to GUNJAN , who is busy in the files. But he is unable to speak on hearing her voice. Now he realises that she stays with some aunt. And SHARADA Jii's loving words to GUNJAN remind him of his mother. He breaks down on remembering his Mom. His hatred for his Dad is evident.

At office, SAMRAT speaks nicely with GUNJAN confusing her. She is surprised seeing this side of her Boss, but relieved too. He gets her to sign some papers regarding her appointment, which GUNJAN does without reading. The main clause says she cannot quit unless asked to put in her papers. But GUNJAN trusts her Employer. SAMRAT is very happy to see that she has signed the paper.

But the mention of MONISH again upsets SAMRAT when, he learns that MONISH has cancelled the meeting.

That is B'coz, MONISH is busy with his plans to impress Prof.NANDA. MONISH is one of the trustees of NIXON College, where Prof.NANDA teaches. In his plan to impress Prof.NANDA, MONISH promotes him to the position of the Vice Principle of the college. Prof.NANDA is impressed by MONISH's politeness too. MONISH further impresses him by giving him a lift home as his KHATARA (His MARUTI 800) as RAHUL calls it refuses to start.

RAHUL decides to take GUNJAN out for Dinner and calls her. He also informs her about his plans to book a new Car as per her likes. When, GUNJAN refuses, he asks hera riddle and tells her if she is unable to answer this, she will have to accompany him without any objections. GUNJAN writes the riddle on a piece of paper which reaches SAMRAT's cabin with the file.

Surprisingly, SAMRAT answers the riddle writing the answer on the paper without getting angry. GUNJAN is surprised and so is RAHUL when he finds out GUNJAN knows the answer to the riddle. Emotionally blackmailing her, he does manage to take her out for dinner. At the restaurant, he finds out it is SAMRAT who has answered the riddle, angering him.

MONISH on the other hand finds out SAMRAT is trying to make it difficult for him to meet GUNJAN... but he is determined to get GUNJAN in his life...by hook or by crook. He refuses to go and spend the evening with his friends at the pub. He is trying to change himself for GUNJAN. He decides to ask the NANDA's to shift in an apartment opposite his house. This is when he speaks to his Dad and his hurt and pain resurface. His Dad has taken advantage of a young needy girl.

SAMRAT tries calling GUNJAN but RAHUL disconnects the call. SAMRAT call her home and finds she has not returned home. He vents his anger on the servants. To make matters worse, RICHA calls him. He speaks rudely with her and disconnects the call. Then GUNJAN calls him making him happy. But SAMRAT ends up hurting her again. He does not feel it is a privilege to earn a scholarship, something which GUNJAN is proud of. He speaks in a not so nice tone about her education which she completed on scholarship. He decides to give her an increment.

RAHUL decides that he will confide in GUNJAN his true feelings before he leaves for SINGAPORE. He wants GUNJAN to know about his feelings.

At office, next day, SAMRAT and GUNJAN go to the record room to check some earlier records. An incident in the record room, confuses both of them. Both touch the switch board together... their hands touching for the first time. They wrer close for the first time. But both moved away and dismissed it as a casual incident. But was it??

GUNJAN refuses the increment given to her. she feels insulted and decides to stay away from SAMRAT. But that was not possible. She is his PA. But SAMRAT has also decided to stay away from her. So hopefully, it may be easy for her.

At home, GUNJAN and RAHUL are busy preparing the Report, when, MONISH comes over as part of his plan... the excuse being handing over the keys of the new flat and new car as part of Prof.NANDA's perks. GUNJAN is happy to see him as he reminds her he is the one who helped her 2 years ago in DELHI. His acting as a simple, polite person impresses the NANDA's . But RAHUL sees through the act and hates it when, MONISH praises GUNJAN and her cooking.

As usual GUNJAN bears the brunt of RAHUL's anger, but, RAHUL is equally quick to cheer her up.

But, now one incident is going to change everything...for everyone.

[D][24 to 27]

With GUNJAN and RAHUL in the kitchen preparing breakfast, Mrs. NANDA speaks out her feelings to her husband regarding the apartment that they are supposed to move into. Prof. NANDA respects his family's views and decides to keep mum about the decision he has taken. Just then GUNJAN and RAHUL enter the living room, and the sombre atmosphere changes as GUNJAN and RAHUL start off with their small , healthy argument.

Over breakfast, Prof. NANDA brings up the topic of the new apartment, but GUNJAN seconds RAHUL's view about not moving there, which makes RAHUL happy. RAHUL then tells his family about his decision to quit the job at SHERGILL's and join a new job. They would be buying a new house in the same locality that MONISH has asked them to move to by taking a loan.. This makes his parents proud of him and GUNJAN is happy at the progress her best friend is making. he also tells her to quit the job and join him in his new company.

This makes GUNJAN sad. She does not want to quit this job, but cannot say anything.

Both RAHUL and GUNJAN complete the report that SAMRAT had asked GUNJAN to make.

On the other hand, SAMRAT is having a difficult time coping with the SUNDAY without GUNJAN. But he has made a decision.

Next day in office, GUNJAN reaches on time and completes her duty of updating the appointment diary, and then walks to her boss's cabin to give the report file. Not seeing SAMRAT there, she keeps the diary and takes the file back.

A little later, she comes back again to give the report file, only to be met with a rude SAMRAT who does not even acknowledge her presence. Saddened by his behavior, she keeps the file and leaves. SAMRAT too hates the way he has behaved with her.

GUNJAN completes the work that was given to her by SHARMA Jii.

On the other hand, MONISH comes right on time for the meeting. he is in a hurry to get it over with so he can meet GUNJAN. The meeting of SAMRAT and MONISH is cold... each trying to ignore the others presence. It is at this meeting that MONISH is smitten by GUNJAN who walks in the room...elegance personified...looking pretty in a red 'churidar kurta'... SAMRAT loses his temper and speaks rudely with GUNJAN, making MONISH hate him even more. SAMRAT does not allow GUNJAN to interact with MONISH at all.

SAMRAT vents his anger on GUNJAN after the meeting winds up, making her work through lunch time and even later...ensuring that MONISH and GUNJAN do not meet. He later feels guilty for not allowing her to take rest.

RAHUL, at home was packing to leave for SINGAPORE. A mother-son chat and RAHUL wants to tell her of his feelings for GUNJAN. But he decides he will after he is back from SINGAPORE.

As a tired GUNJAN is about to leave, SAMRAT calls her and orders her to be present at the meeting at THE AMBASSADOR. Reluctantly she agrees as SAMRAT's anger peaks when she does not agree immediately. She goes to her cabin and calls up RAHUL asking for his permission. Though halfheartedly, RAHUL gives her permission.

Upon reaching THE AMBASSADOR , SAMRAT realizes the file has been left in the car. GUNJAN bears the brunt of his anger here too. When he returns, he hears her talking to MONISH and he angrily breaks her cell. A petrified GUNJAN simply follows him to meet Mr. GAUTAM MEHTA, CEO of RAHEJA's.

Seeing the empty file, SAMRAT insists GUNJAN apologize to Mr MEHTA. Before leaving the venue, a heart-broken GUNJAN apologizes. But, Mr MEHTA is a man with ulterior motives. He has set his eyes on GUNJAN and makes an 'indecent' proposal to SAMRAT. This angers SAMRAT and he beats up Mr MEHTA. He sends him to police custody on a false charge.

RAHUL and MONISH have a showdown sort of, but MONISH manages to control himself as he knows if he wants to get close to GUNJAN, RAHUL must be taken care of also along with Mr and Mrs NANDA.

SAMRAT left the venue, equally distraught as GUNJAN was. At home, GUNJAN broke down and cried out. She missed her parents, her mother's warm hug, her Dad's loving touch. She decides to reimburse the SHREGILL's by selling the one last piece of jewelery that she had as her parents memory...her mother memory... a 'Gold' locket.

SAMRAT felt lousy too, but he had decided he had had enough... he wants to sleep but here too, GUNJAN's tear streaked face does not allow him to.

MONISH reaches home frustrated that his plan has hit a roadblock. But VIRAJ makes a call and tells MONISH that his other plan will be a success. The preparations for that plan have been made.

The next day, GUNJAN is awakened by RAHUL. Much as she tries, she is unable to hide the events of the night before. RAHUL sees the marks on her hand and loses his temper. Then calming himself down, he manages to make GUNJAN smile. Even as GUNJAN is getting ready to leave for work, RAHUL decides to teach SAMRAT a lesson. But, GUNJAN stops him just in time.

Though he agrees not to talk to SAMRAT about last night, he decides he will cancel his SINGAPORE trip. But here again, GUNJAN gently reminds him the importance of this trip for his career growth. Reluctantly RAHUL agrees for this trip. This makes GUNJAN happy.

RAHUL is however not happy knowing that GUNJAN intends going to submit her resignation alone. But once again, GUNJAN reminds him that his mother needs to be taken to the doctor which is far more important.

At SAMRAT's home too, DAI MAA is surprised to learn that SAMRAT is not on his regular schedule. SAMRAT, though awake, did not feel like getting out of bed. He was not happy about the incidences of last night and he is hoping that GUNJAN will turn up at office today...she will apologize for her mistake. He realises that his growing interest in GUNJAN would result in him moving away from his one aim in life...to avenge his mother's death.

At the breakfast table, DAI MAA has a talk with SAMRAT and he avoids her questions, speaking harshly with her and hurting her. DAI MAA and SAMRAT have a heart to heart talk, reliving those happy days when his mom was alive. In his distraught state, SAMRAT blurts out the name of GUNJAN. DAI MAA sees a ray of hope here.

At the office, a heart-broken GUNJAN decides to avoid SAMRAT. She mails the RAHEJA's a copy of the report and then she submits her resignation to Mr SHARMA and then leaves for the jewelers to sell the locket to reimburse the SHERGILL's for their loss.

SAMRAT reaches office hoping that GUNJAN has already arrived before him. He has no clue that she has already submitted her resignation. He is waiting impatiently for her... when Mr SHARMA tells him about her resignation. He is even more disturbed to learn taht she has left without meeting him. Mr SHARMA hands over to him the envelope containing the money that GUNJAN has got after selling her mother's locket. SAMRAT would later find out the source of the compensation when he finds the receipt of the jewelers in GUNJAN cabin, which she had accidentally dropped.

SAMRAT's hurt gives way to anger and he decides to teach her lesson.

Upon reaching home, a drenched GUNAJAN is confronted by RAHUL. Over a steaming hot cup of coffee, RAHUL asks her about her cell and GUNJAN is left with no option but to tell him that her cell is not with her anymore. However, in order to avoid another confrontation, she lies that she has lost her cell. RAHUL gets angry and yells at her, making GUNJAN sad. However when GUNJAN apologizes, he forgives her and buys her a new cell.

SAMRAT is still hurt. He wants GUNJAN back at any cost. So he asks his lawyer to send her a notice... a compensation of 10 lacs for resigning without any prior notice. After his lawyer leaves, he sees a report that GUNJAN had made with perfection. He is as yet unable to get over her. He remembers his first meeting with GUNJAN and the subsequent meetings with her. He is unable to forget the time that she had spent at the SHERGILL's... her sweet voice, he yearns to hear that. But he realizes, she has left.

This thought initially disturbs him. He looks at the locket that he has purchased from the jewelers and wonders what how she could sell such a precious thing. He again remembers his childhood days and how he has still kept the toys that his mother had given him. He makes up his mind to return the locket to her when she returns to work at the SHERGILL's.

When Mr SHARMA informs SAMRAT that GUNJAN has left for the airport, he gets even more disturbed. What he does not know that GUNJAN has left for the airport with RAHUL... to see him off.

Earlier, before RAHUL left, GUNJAN and RAHUL share an emotionally charged moment, when GUNJAN tells him that she will miss him a lot. RAHUL assures her that he will be back soon.

At the SHERGILL mansion, Mr PRATAP SHERGILL and his wife are scheming against SAMRAT. They want SAMRAT to get married to RICHA and then gradually phase SAMRAT out.

Here, SAMRAT's childhood glimpse is narrated ...his mother's death, SAMRAT's ordeal at being an 'ORPHAN ' starts. His stepmother sends him to a boarding school and he is not allowed back home after completing his schooling. He is put up at a flat and DAI MAA joined him after he completed the first phase of his revenge.

SAMRAT reaches home, his mood foul. But DAI MAA sees how upset he is and decides to talk to him. Hopefully, she asks about GUNJAN and SAMRAT barks back at her. DAI MAA knows the reason of his foul mood. Here SAMRAT experiences a headache which worries DAI MAA. But SAMRAT brushes it off.

SAMRAT refuses to talk to his father who had called to tell him the date of his marriage with RICHA. As DAI MAA leaves, SAMRAT sees the ring...the diamond ring in the cupboard...and then the locket...which reminds him of GUNJAN and the fact that maybe she has left forever. But he makes a resolve to search for her.

Back from the airport, GUNJAN is missing RAHUL. As she tries to sleep, thoughts about SAMRAT keep cropping up in her mind. happy that she has cleared all debts and now left the job, she goes off to sleep.

The next morning, DAI MAA is surprised to see SAMRAT in a good mood. Not wanting to, DAI MAA tells him about his marriage date being fixed with RICHA. SAMRAT is blank. She advises him to think carefully before taking such an important decision. This leaves SAMRAT in 2 minds momentarily. But he composes himself again.

At the NANDA 's residence, GUNJAN is searching for the list that RAHUL has given her so she can read some matter regarding her new job. She leaves for the college to pick up the books and that is when, SHARADA Jii hears a knock on the door, opening it to find 3 or 4 unknow men.

At office, SAMRAT finds out about GUNJAN's decision to pay off all the outstanding dues. He calls up the NANDA residence and talks to Mrs NANDA. He finds out from her that GUNJAN is at college and on hearing the name of the college is elated...he is also the trustee of that college. But then, when he hears that she is taking up a new job, he loses his temper again. He decides to go to the college and have a talk with her. But just then MONISH enters SAMRAT's cabin.

MONISH earlier has managed to get information from SAMRAT's lawyer about GUNJAN's resignation and SAMRAT's plan to sue her. he is here to take advantage of this situation.

SAMRAT was anything but pleased to see MONISH. He tells him in no uncertain terms that he is in a hurry and so MONISH better hurry up with his talk. MONISH irritates SAMRAT more by being very polite and keeping his tone down. He then throws a cheque of 10 lacs [Compensation fees as per agreement deal] in front of SAMRAT in exchange for the papers signed by GUNJAN. MONISH then plays the suave businessman he actually is. In return for the papers signed by GUNJAN, he offers SAMRAT KIWISH INT. too He generously gives SAMRAT time till evening to make a decision.

SAMRAT is again at conflict. GUNJAN or revenge... he tries to search for loophole in the KIWISH deal.

MONISH sees a worried GUNJAN waiting outside the college for a taxi. The cloudy weather was making her even more worried.MONISH makes good of this opportunity . He offers GUNJAN a lift which GUNJAN is initially hesitant to accept. But sweet talking his way out, MONISH is successful. During the drive, MONISH makes her an offer... of a job. GUNJAN politely refuses but, MONISH makes her understand the benefits of taking up the job.

GUNJAN realizes that doing this job for just a month would help her in her future job. So she accepts his offer. A perfect planner that he is , MONISH makes her agree to accompany him to his office before he can drop her home. Though not very comfortable, GUNJAN agrees.

SAMRAT's Dad visits him in office and this visit takes the decision for SAMRAT. He chooses his revenge as his dad reminds him about his hatred.

At MONISH's office, GUNAJN is surprised to see MONISH's behavior with his staff... a stark contrast to SAMRAT's behavior. He asks her to wait in his cabin as he has to attend a meet. She does not know the plan MONISH has chalked out. She reaches his cabin and gets locked in the cabin because of the automatic locking system of his cabin.She is scared and is in tears as she is frantically asking for help.

MONISH has a perfect plan...to get the press to click some intimate pictures of him and GUNJAN so the NANDA's are pressurized into getting her married to him. However, his plans are spoiled by SAMRAT... who is here to meet him and ends up saving GUNJAN.

GUNJAN is very glad that SAMRAT saved her... she feels safe in his presence. But SAMRAT is angry to see her here. They have a small argument during which MONISH comes in the picture, ending the argument. SAMRAT angrily storm out and MONISH apologizes to GUNJAN for the delay. After GUNJAN checks out her new cabin, both leave to go home.

At the NANDA's Residence SHARADA Jii is worried. They have received a notice from the builders to vacate the flat. As Prof NANDA comes home, she informs him about the same. To add to her worries is the fact that GUNJAN has not come home yet. But with MONISH's arrival, this worry ends.

GUNJAN overhears the NANDA's and MONISH talk about the notice and the need to move into a new house. She is upset. She is emotionally attached to this house. MONISH puts up the act of being the concerned person and manages to convince them to move to the flat allotted by the college. The NANDA's are left with no choice. Over a meal, MONISH manges to relax the NANDA's by his funny talk. This day had gone very well for MONISH so far.

But for SAMRAT it was the opposite. He hated the thought of GUNJAN in MONISH's cabin. His anger peaked, but this time, his heart was not letting his mind win, though SAMRAT tried his best, he could not but shed a tear when he thought about GUNJAN.

After MONISH leaves, GUNJAN retires to her room. Thoughts of SAMRAT, his harsh words towards her parents, his behavior towards her come back to her. She is not able to forget him though. As she is thinking about the incidences of the last few days, she receives RAHUL's call. This brings a smile to her face as she speaks with her best friend. Obeying Prof NANDA's instructions, during her conversation with RAHUL, she does not tell him about the problem. A casual chat later, GUNAJN tries to concentrate on the book but is yet unable to.

SAMRAT is informed of the arrival of SATYAM RAHEJA... the MD of RAHEJA's. This reminds SAMRAT of GUNJAN once again... the incident at THE AMBASSADOR... and he feels bad...but, only for a second...he is happy that he has taken a decision to take over KIWISH .

At the cafe, MONISH is waiting for SAMRAT. He is happy when he thinks about his future with GUNJAN but at the same time regrets the game he has played with the NANDA's. he is thinking of taking back that notice... seeing a family, he is busy visualizing himself with GUNJAN... happy in his thoughts, when someone calls out his name... RIA MODI... from a past that MONISH wants to forget. MONISH humiliates her and she warns him of the consequences of his acts before storming out of the cafe.

SAMART hears this conversation and taunts MONISH... not the one to be left out, MONISH retaliates and this war of words continues. Finally SAMRAT informs him of the decision to take over KIWISH in return for GUNJAN's signed papers.

Before leaving, SAMRAT asks him the importance of these papers for MONISH. MONISH informs him of his love for GUNJAN and his intention of marrying her. This bit of information shatters SAMRAT.

SAMRAT leaves the cafe to realize that he has forgotten his cell at the cafe. He returns to get it when he overhears MONISH asking GUNJAN to go out on a date with him.

A completely broken SAMRAT reaches home and in the safe confines of his room, breaks down completely. His tears flow freely as he thinks about all that he has lost...in his past and his present. He hates himself for the deal... for he feels he has sold GUNJAN for KIWISH. A hysterical SAMRAT admits that he has killed any chance that was there for the same, old SAMRAT to be back.

SAMRAT has a nightmare. He dreams of MONISH taking undue advantage of GUNJAN and this thought freaks him out. He feels the need to protect her. He needs to know where she is...

MONISH calls GUNJAN at her residence, but before she can take the call, the call is disconnected. When the phone rings again, GUNJAN picks up the receiver and blabbers out her inability to go out with MONISH... without knowing who is on the line. SAMRAT is elated on hearing this.

After this call is disconnected, MONISH calls her again and she is now wondering who was it earlier. Deep down, she thinks it was SAMRAT, but logically spaeaking, she realises it cannot be him. MONISH and GUNJAN have a light conversation...though disappointed with GUNJAN for having refused to go out with him, he puts up an act of being OK with it. He is happy as GUNJAN will be with him through the day from tomorrow.

Both MONISH and SAMRAT are happy . MONISH as he feels his plan is succeeding and SAMRAT as he knows, GUNJAN is not very comfortable with MONISH... so she will easily agree to be back at the SHERGILL's.

A happy SAMRAT reaches his office, and here he finds out the truth about the RAHEJA's project file. His staff informs him how SAMRAT misplaced that file at the office before going to meeting,that day. He is by now feeling absolutely lousy. He hates himself for being so harsh with GUNJAN... promises that from now on, he will be more careful. A new legal advisor is to be appointed as SAMRAT has by now found out that their legal advisor was the one who had leaked the information of GUNJAN to MONISH. Mr SHARMA informs him of this new appointment and also about the interviews for the new P.A. SAMRAT tells Mr SHARMA to cancel the interview for a new PA.

At the meeting with SATYAM RAHEJA, SAMRAT is even more surprised to find out that the RAHEJA's already have the project report with them. this takes SAMRAT to an all new low, as he realises his huge mistake at understanding GUNJAN. When SATYAM informs SAMRAT that they want GUNJAN to work on this project and are willing to employ her, SAMRAT angrily tells SATYAM that GUNJAN is still working with the SHERGILL's. SATYAM realiese SAMRAT's possessiveness towards GUNJAN.

GUNJAN reaches the KHURANA's office for her first day at work. She is a bit worried as she cannot as yet forget her ordeal at her first job at the SHERGILL's . She is warmly welcomed here, MONISH is sweet wit her. ... totally opposite of what had happened at the SHERGILL's. She is asked to read the information about KIWISH INT so she can understand everything at the meeting. As she reads the file, once again, she is taken back to SAMRAT. Slowly the time for the meeting approaches.

GUNJAN is a bit worried as she and MONISH reach the venue of the meeting. But MONISH helps her relax. While MONISH is talking to an associate, he asks GUNJAN to wait at the meeting hall for him. Here SAMRAT is already present and when GUNJAN enters the hall, he thinks she is here for him. He is very happy...but looks like SAMRAT and happiness go in opposite directions. He soon finds out that GUNJAN is here with MONISH, breaking him completely. GUNJAN also avoids direct eye contact with him, making him all the more miserable.

SAMRAT confronts GUNJAN in the elevator. Here however, GUNJAN speaks out her mind... without raising her voice, in her soft and sweet tone. Though SAMRAT is guilt ridden, he is angry when she tells him of her decision to work with the KHURANA's. In a strict tone, he informs her that her resignation has not been accepted and neither does she have a relieving letter which will enable her to join another company. GUNJAN is shocked and does not know how to react. he instructs her to occupy the table reserved for the SHERGILL's , as he leaves to talk to MONISH.

In SINGAPORE, RAHUL is attending a press meet, totally bored. As soon as the meeting ends, he is hurrying back to the hotel so he can call GUNJAN and talk to her when he is stopped by Mr. RAGHWAN... programming incharge of this project, He informs RAHUL that he will not be doing field work, but will be working at the office of HEAUSEN MALIN... the partner company. This makes RAHUL happy, but shortly his happiness too is cut short as the person with whom he will interact daily is... ALISHA RASTOGI... this name worries RAHUL... he remembers his past...something that he would love to forget.

Are u serious that he is Satyam Raheja? 😆 mahn... u didn get anybody else on this BIGGG EARTH!? 😆 But ignoring the face of d character the Satyam-Samrat part was good. Through the facade of the hard hearted person, there is a person who is equally yearning for love. And it is this emotion that brings out his possessiveness and care for GUNJAN... SAMRAT has now slowly started realizing her importance in his life... that is why he decides that she deserves an apology from him.

But MONiSH being MONiSH, will try his best to get GUNJAN, even if it means involving certain people who otherwise do not mean a thing to him. Whether they humor him??? Wait and watch😳.And don't forget that NANDA's R very simple common middle class peoples... 'Family' is very important for them... Definitely They would be want to meet future 'In-laws' of GUNJAN...😳 Please, trust us...V'll be not destroy the main element of story...😳 Yes,SAMRAT's character turn in a different way... without losing his own identity... Actually,his mixed feelings of anger n love ...will create some very interesting sequences...😳

HARMAN is very suitable for the character of SATYAM RAHEJA.His character is very important for this story. He is looking good... calm n composed...and most importantly...readers can read his parts without any expectations.😳.

GUNJAN has admitted her feelings for SAMRAT, so it is natural that she associates everything with him. She is not able to ignore the contrast in the behavior between SAMRAT

and MONiSH. But yet, it is only with SAMRAT that she is comfortable.

MONiSH has admitted that she may not love him now, but will later as time passes, so he tends to ignore these small signs.

SAMRAT is willing to apologize to GUNJAN... because finally, he knows... GUNJAN's importance in his life. But he cannot ignore this fact, that his mother's untimely death has left him shattered So, to avenge her death still remains his priority.

There always comes a point when V can't take anything any more and then we speak up. This is human nature, but as this is GUNJAN,V R talking about, she will speak gently, without raising her voice.That elevator scene was very important scene of this Part...
