Hey all

we all know Yash chopra is one of the most well known and famous directors in bollywood. Hes mostly revered for his powerful dramas and romantic movies...His filmography is very versatile, consisting of bold cinema like Lamhe, Silsila, Waqt, Daag etc and also fluffy cinema like Chandni, Kabhie Kabhie, DTPH etc...he also ventured into action giving blockbusters like Deewar and Kala patthar...He explored quite unconventional and bold subjects such as infidelity (Silsila), polygamy(Daag), a girl falling in love with her guardian(Lamhe), a songless film (Waqt) etc ...

Hes directing another film with shahrukh now as we all know, and it stars katrina and anushka as the female leads..

What are ur expectations from the film?

what are ur views abt him as a filmmaker?

Personally, i think he is a very fine director and up until Lamhe, his films always boasted of great quality...but i think his quality started to decline DTPH onwards..he became more convectional and ppl pleasing, rather than being the bold filmmaker he once was...and his films started to become more and more cliche...Veer zaara was better than DTPH but it was still no patch on his previous movies IMHO...

I hope he gets back to giving us gr8 films with his latest directorial venture. I am looking forward to his film...how abt u?

He is 79😲..direction needs hours and hours of physical effort everyday..not to mention the stress.

It just may be ghost directed by Adtiya.Who I think is as talented as his dad..

Zabardast opening is a given..but finally may not do as well,because SRK has lost that charm..his romatic gestures seem a bit fake now..

it will definitely be the most awaited film...SRK may have lost some of his appeal but there's Kat to pull in the crowds...Anu is charming. Just it being a YC film is enough...

Really not looking forward to the story though..unless it's about a man on a quest to find his neice and daughter or something...baaad jodis

I don't have any expectations from his movies. 🥱

i only liked his Kala Patthar. 👍🏼 & that's the only one...

I like Yash Chopra the director...I trust his sensibilites...

Honestly, I am not expecting some daring risks from the movie..if anything I expect to be as much audience pleasing as it can be especially if rumors of the impending bankruptcy for YRF are true..

I hope he's written a good script...I guess I should trust Kat and Anu on this since they seem to have a good pulse for what works for the audience usually at least..especially since SRK hasn't read it...

I really don't understand how Kat fits in though. She supposedly plays a very traditionally desi character like all his previous female leads..how is that going to work? Kat looks and sounds like a foreigner. 😕

Yash Chopra is a good director.Veer-Zaara had powerful performances.
The only factor which does not make me excited for this film is SRK.Come on he will suck as a romantic hero.

The one with swiss alps, heart shaped baloons, dialogues abt pyaar being different to mohobbat, a mills and boons script, good looking actors in manish malhotra costumes, ppl staring at the moon and a gr8 dollop of romance?

The one with swiss alps, fairly gawdy sets and clothes but charming actors nevertheless, bold script, some wacky side characters, a lil bit of W*F and a gr8 dollop of passion for filmmaking?
