The director Rohit Dhawan is a childhood friend of Sonam and some of her other close friends also worked in this movie as designers/stylists I think. So all the lady Kapoors went!

Deepika said she did the movie Desi Boyz for Rohit because he's a close friend.

Well Rohit is David Dhawan's son so he grew up around industry folks. Probably how he became friends with Sonam and Ranbir. As for Deepika, Rohit was one of the first people she met in Mumbai...

Now they have edited out poor Sid..and have a caption that Ex lovers DP & RK are together again..
